Premium Member Mark's Marathon

A message to all worthy competitors in the Marathon this year.
It should be about camaraderie and having fun. When the finish line is crossed, I hope you'll have found that your time spent in participating has been worthwhile, and no one will be congratulating a plagiarizer or a machine.

I'm not taking part, (with apologies and admiration, Mark). There are too many issues that have been causing havoc in the Soup and because of them I'm seldom here. CHEERS to poets who run a good race!

Free To Rise

Hope is fading,

I've been participating,

Patiently waiting,

Playing a game,

I'm secretly hating.

My health is fading,

I'm wading through debt,

I can't care for my pet,

I don't see an end yet.

I'm so tired of the hour,

Devouring my life.

Her's some Change for you strife,

I hope it satisfies,

Are the lies we're told.

I can only fantasize,

The peace in my demise,

So my spirit is free to rise.

What is it that showing me?

What is it that you are showing me?

I saw a scene on the news:
Someone “powerful”
has been disrespectful
to someone in need.

Many emotions came to the surface
for the first time
I didn’t get caught up.
I just watched.

What is it that you are showing me?
I want to go deeper
See behind the story
Can I see myself reflected?

All stories
are fractals
of my own stories
in the end.

I could be
I have been
each of the characters
the victim, the witch, the princess…

Could I also be
the creator or the director?
Not just a lost actor
who doesn’t know he’s acting.

Learning to see from the outside
Reading between the lines
Looking for the lesson
Participating creatively.

Look To The Clouds

Ever wonder why,

We look to the sky,

Honoring those who die?

What if clouds you see,

Was their energy,

In Eternity,

Here eternally,

Watching you and me,

Limitless and free.

Patiently waiting,

Anticipating,

Participating.

A Heaven sent,

Sentiment,

It's their intent.

Sharing a moment,

A loving event,

Your spirits connect,

Feeling the effects,

You look up to reflect.

Eyes wandering,

Mind pondering,

The Heart honoring.

Escape,

Images taking shape,

In A Fluffy cloudscape,

Leaving memories to trace.

Take the time to embrace,

Look to see their face,

In their full grace,

Hiding some place.

The Particles in space,

Taking form,

Changing shape.

An Energy swarm,

That always transforms.

Pulling you through the storms.

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR INSTRUCTING US TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF OURSELVES TO HIM

November 27 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Romans 14-16

Key Verse – Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR INSTRUCTING US
TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF OURSELVES TO HIM

Praise be to God for instructing us
to give account of ourselves to Him midst:
Truth always trustworthy
Testimonies assertively true
Triumph affirmatively tenacious
Trials toward abounding thanksgiving
Temptations assuring timely tested testimony

Romans 15:6 Praise be to the Lord for
exhorting us to glorify Him:
Pleasing His person
Persevering with His power
Progressing by His prosperity
Pursuing toward His purpose
Participating in His program
Preaching His precepts
Praising Him with His people
Performing by His principles
Producing along His provisions
Praying in His plan

Romans 16:20 Praise be to the Saviour for
His peace and grace as we:
Cleave to His care
Cary His commands
Cling to His compassion
Come to His cross with our concerns
Claim His closeness around His comfort. Amen!

Withering away your days
Waiting on some undefined occurrence
To move you on to participating
In a life of abounding meaning
Change your ways, live life today!
Living life drunk and stoned
Surviving as a numbed-up drone
Muddled memories of momentary joy
Awash in an endless frittering of time
Change your ways, live life today!
Faith constrained to personal intellect
Hope buried in the ashes of popular culture
Love boxed up from a narcissistic education
Deceived by the Father Of Lies
Change your way, get a life today!
Change your way, get life everlasting!

Emblem-The Church Wall

Look there,do you see the wall of red brick
          each upon the other:
            leans with great care.

One joined evenly next to the other
           bonded together in
           equality:

Participating in their purposes
          combining ,each their strengths
          the load to share:

Weathered with the storms of life on its face
           enduring through
           eternity:

My head is not working

I want to do all so I don't do anything at all.
My heart is beating fast and I don't know why.
I am not attending at tutoring every monday because I am scared people in my class are going to laugh about me,
He was getting along with her but it didn't hurted me that much,
participating I was,
mistakes making now I am okay with,
I've got my physics test but I am happy that I didn't failed completely,
some were cheating but the teacher didn't look out,
I was happy with my little Orange dress and the jeans beneath.
It was kinda fresh today.

I am sorry mom I didn't told you,
but I am scared to fail class,
because it is most likely,
since I only have one A, in sports,
were my arms feel already numb,
and I find myself asking people which is much more easy.

Mom, I fell on the matrass yesterday,
my shoulders hurt a little too.

Mom, I am sorry,
but my mind thinks of the worst.
No wonder
It is most likely to happen.
Mom? I was about to cry but now they are already dried out without letting go.
Because I know,
nothing's going to change after I posted this poem.

I'm the version of you that didn't break.
Didn't shatter into useless pieces, broken haggardly upon the floor.
I can feel you,
See you,
Hear you,
Smell you sulking in the wind.
Battered and bellowing upon the breeze.
Like plastic.
Caustic and cautious.
Remember me.
The one who can.
He whose inter-dimensional echoes threaten the lands of great things.
Participating.
Standing place upon the influenza.
Making useful moments marry the past with change.
You, on the other hand,
Will wilt.
Without the grace of floral decadence.
Simply melt without having been to begin with.
And then you'll know what it means to suffer.

ABIDING LOVE

I saw you, looking at me
From a decent distance
I took my notice
And offered you calm resistance

I moved, you followed
Respectful, just waiting
Providing circumstances
That guided me toward participating

Finally, I cried out
"I need no nurturing here
I have defense mechanisms
Keeping me from slipping a gear

...I love manual transmissions

Besides, I've lived a lifetime
Without personalized care
Pouring into others
Never questioning what is fair

...dang it all...there is something...there

Rejection is one thing
Abandonment, another
What is that blackened chord
...death of my mother"

I passed it on to Daddy God
And watched Him restore and connect
The doors of Mama's house, opened
Revealing the elect

Beautiful sounds all around
Celebration of LOVE abiding
Never more, an orphan
Preparing, once again, for whatever fear is hiding

Natural Snow Sonnet

It comes from the sky, white, powdery gifts,
upsets may, but gets us vibrating,
we call in from work, get cover for shifts,
no way we are not participating.
The lots are plowed roughly, but well enough,
we see the white streak of trails on the hill,
blast through the snow, there is never too much,
use rock skis so the good ones don’t get killed.
A run that’s boring exhausts us today,
sweating in the air that makes water freeze,
the soft, springy stuff on which we now play
lets us bound joyously through silent trees;
when it doesn’t come, the snow we must make,
but that’s hamburger, the real stuff is steak!

Premium Member Hilarity at Hillcrest High

   Students at Hillcrest High
sure know how to have fun
   Hundreds rioted for two hours
     to terrorize someone...

... A teacher they screamed 'had to go'
her 'crime,' if you really need to know
holding up a pro-Israel sign at a rally
     lucky gal ~ didn't get machine-gunned

just having fun. The teacher managed to lock
