Premium Member Mike Parke Eulogy 2011

It is with great sadness we say goodbye.
To a truly smashing real good guy.
His name is Mike Parke who was our boss
The whole of 202 now feel lost.

He leaves behind his good lady.
The one we know simply as Kady.
Our sympathies are really with you.
From all the guys and girls from 202.

Mike you were a quality bloke.
And this sad news made us all choke.
Soldiers and Friends all alike
Wish to say farewell Mike.

As a technician you were a card
Your first lines were really hard
As a boss you were the best
Now you can be laid to rest.

It eventually comes to an end
When we have to say goodbye to a dear friend
You will be missed by one and all
Until we meet at heavens ball

Premium Member Up the Hill

I went up the Kiwi to see the tree
It was Mike Parke I went to see
We had a chat and put the world to rights
And yes we established im too old to fight

Sat up their on the hill
I really saw what was the thrill
The view you have is truly amazing
In the distance the sheep are grazing

Mike your legacy lives on
A true gent with a beautiful son
Kady has really done you proud
I just wish you were still around

You touched the hearts of all you met
Even when you made us sweat
I feel for your family as you have gone
But like I say you legacy goes on

Thanks again Mike for all you have done
In life and even now when you have gone
You are a star and truly missed
And before you say no im not p####d

Thankyou for you chat today
Made it clearer
Showed me the way
In your debt I will always be
Enjoy it mike FLYING FREE !!!!!

Dreams

You can look, but what do you really see?
Even without boundaries, are you truly free?
Thoughts of a love that you never knew
Dreams that never had a chance to come true.

Broken wings that have forgotten how to fly.
Whispering breezes of freedom that quietly go by.
Giving way to thunderheads parting the sky.
So the angels above, will have a place to cry.

Memories of a forgotten story heard once in a lullaby.
Words from pages that have become frail & dried.
AWhite Knight in shiny armor, that will never arrive.
Visions of a child waiving good-bye.

He Said and She Said

He said. She said. It’s always the same.
Who will try to apologize? Who will take the blame?
Who can hurt who the worst? Who can call the worst name?
Who will give up? Who will give in? Who will walk away?
When does somebody finally win?
Accusations are made with words that are hateful and vial.
Only to be answered with claims of blatant denial.
Dark secrets. Hiding behind the colorful lies.
Fresh bruises. Another black eye.
Strangers stare. Neighbors pry.
Make up never covers the bruises, but still you try.
High anxiety. Low Blows. Swollen lips. A bloody nose.
Followed by vague and shallow apologies.
Along with an occasional red rose.
Leaving broken dreams and broken hearts.
Lives are devastated and your world is ripped apart.
Promises of Never Again are made, and broken like each time before.
You don’t even remember a time with things were different anymore.
Everything is broken and the pieces lie shattered on the floor.
You try to pick them up, but the pieces won’t fit together any more.
And through it all, as usual, nobody won and nobody kept score.

Motown - My Home Town

My name is Loreen Parke and I’m from Detroit City.
I’m quick. My Mom calls me ‘Slick’
My friends say I’m Witty.
No wants. No warrants. No priors.
No dirty deals. Strictly cash buyers.
I’m a very busy woman with no time to waste.
I’ve got Big Dreams, High Hopes & Expensive Taste.
Think slow. Talk fast.
My connections are tight.
My options are vast.
Just like the ‘Kid’ I’ve got my ‘ghetto pass.’
I grew up here. This is my home town.
These are the blocks that I’ve been around.
Don’t think you can show up and start changing the rules on my play ground.
That won't fly. The bottom of the Detroit River is where you’ll be found.
This is Detroit. The Motor City. The One and Only Motown.
This is where I grew up. This is my Home Town.

License Out of a Cracker Jack Box

Good God Man!
What are you people thinking?
If you can’t drive that can any better then that,
You better give it to me.
It’s enough to make me want to start drinking.

Stupid Bimbo.
Your bulb isn't too bright…
Maybe if you weren’t yapping on your cell phone,
You wouldn’t have driven through that red light.

Blasted Blue Hair
You gotta be at least a hundred and ten.
How can you drive when you can’t even see over the steering wheel of that brand
new Mercedes Benz
Afraid you might get somewhere?
Scared that you won't?
The sign says DO so you DON’T

Nice turn signal Buddy.
Think you need to use all four lanes at the same time?
Didn’t they teach about those 2 bright yellow stripes in the middle of the road?
It’s call the Double Yellow Divider Line

How cool is it to be you?
Show me again what your too cool car can do.
Pay no mind to the photo radar snapping a picture of you.
Got mirrors? Know how to use them?
Here come the red and blues.
Hope your paperwork is in order.
It’s goon suck to be the late breaking story on the 6:00 news.

Promises In the Dark

Steel blue eyes
Icy hot fire
Silky soft lips
Burning desires

Wicked potions
Love & Lust
Games of the heart
Can this ever be enough?

Safe in your arms
Passionate kisses
Secret dreams
Impossible wishes

The taste of your love
The feel of your touch
The fire in your eyes
The heat of your lust

Acceptance of now
Offers of forever
Hope for tomorrow
Fear of never

A Message For My Friend

Please do not feel sorrow when someone asks about me,
or when you hear someone mention my name.
My wish for you is to feel joy in remembering me,
and to somehow free yourself from this grip of pain.
Remember that I chose you. If I had the choice to make again,
it would be the same. So please don’t feel sad,
and alone my friend. I have not left you behind.
I am always going to be with you.
The bond we share is stronger then the measure of time.
If you listen, you can hear my songs as they echo through the trees.
A soft whispering melody. A kind and gentle breeze.
Even though my mission in this life time is complete
It doesn’t mean our time together is over and done.
My spirit lives on in the life force of my Son.
Celebrate my life with him. He will help your heart to mend.
Let him guide you the rest of the way.
His heart is pure, and his devotion to you will never end.
I promise that everything is going to be OK
Just remember that I chose you, and we will see each other again.
My dear and trusted friend,..
One fine, beautiful, and bright sun shining day.

A Wolf's View of Man

I am a wolf, I’m meant to be free.
Not locked in a cage or chained to a tree
I am born to live in the wild, but please,
Don’t let this be cause for alarm.
I am a peaceful being. I mean you no harm.
Like you, I have a family with young to rear.
I commit to only one mate for life.
My family is my pack, and I hold them dear.
My very existence is viewed as a threat by Man.
He feels he must eliminate my kind, claiming
It’s the only way to protect his family,
Protect his children, and save his land.
My species has been hunted to the brink of extinction.
Man strives to see that my kind is forever banned.
Other Men keep my kind locked in cages.
Deprived of our freedom and forced to mate.
Then our young are taken away
So they can be sold for the going rate.
Man says that he knows all about my kind.
Man says he knows exactly what I am.
But the truth is:
Man is the one that just doesn’t understand

Janna Parke 3

Just as I hoped it would,
All my conflicts resolved.
No part remains unaligned.
Nick is of one mind,
And is finally complete.

Perhaps life is such a place
As it is so that we learn.
Ready, finally, to be
Kith, I can finally remove
Every part that disagrees.

Janna Parke 2

Juxtapose two conflicting minds.
Against one another they tassel.
Never to complete their argument,
Nick is stuck as mediator.
And it is not a fun job.

Proposition after proposition,
All movements are mirrored.
Rather than agree, they fight.
Kind Nick is torn apart.
Everyday he worries about the outcome.

Janna Parke 1

Just look at me! I have fallen
Apart. Head over heals I fell. I give
Nicety after nicety. I could
Never have imagined
Anything as such.

Possibly I am mistaken. I don't want to be
Anything other than your friend.
Really. We can be best friends. Our
Kinship can be indefinite.
Everything would be perfect.
