the Semienite kings erected stelae
to the kingdom of the wrestling with God;
Ethiopian hinterlands ruled with the iron fist of Judea,
the flag of Magen David swaying in Abyssinian winds.
Judit?battle-hungry commander of war,
panzer-woman of Scriptural Armageddon!
the queen casts her leather noose
and steers the forces of Beta Israel
into a battle of redemption and of honor
conducted in a strong and Hebraic iron tradition
not even a Holocaust could ever quell!

Citadel of wits and tricks
Who appears wimpish;
But your back is stronger
And harder than Olumo rock,
And the great walls of China;
Citadel of wits and tricks
Who staggers like a Kampf panzer,
Through thick and thin,
Rough and tough terrains unscathed
You who have no foundation,
But, your house is sturdier
Than Buckingham palace,
I salute you
You,
Whose legs are short
But covers miles without refueling...
You, who stump, trump, trample,
Hustle and bustle
Where the high and mighty
Fear to thread
I salute you
The day a swart of hungry crocodiles
Stumble on you,
Their knife-like fangs become obsolete
When a swarm of starving lions encounter you,
They go home angry and hungry
A black, insidious mamba
Retreats and recoil
When it confronts you
The day a stray elephant
Steps on you,
It looses balance
The panzer who cannot fire a cannon
But repels a thousand loose cannons
With it's impregnable back,
I salute you
Citadel of wisdom, wits and tricks
Whom our sacred African oracles rely on,
I salute you!

They wondered where the sunshine had all gone,
and gentle breezes warming spring's array;
the hues of pink that greeted breaking dawn,
and children’s laughter lighting up the day.
The darkness loomed; uneasy feelings spread
as clouds of war diffused across the land,
and somehow knowing what was faced ahead,
the Europeans braced for strife at hand.
The Nazi War Machine their muscles flexed;
their Panzer units massed at Poland’s edge
thus leaving nations of the world perplexed
at German conquest as reports allege.
And thus the world was plunged into the war
as Europe fell into the dark once more.

I guess I really miss your message,
And there is nothing here to damn,
I am upset. The birds start passage
I do not see sweet sign: O.M.
I have destroyed myself this story
with latest letter, it's my fault,
I've been remembering that, I'm sorry,
I love O.M., she is my world!
My feelings didn't find the answer,
Perhaps, I hadn't time to wait,
Among my masks I've chosen panzer.
I drink the pain I drink the Fate,
I write, I really miss your message,
And there is nothing here to damn,
I am upset. The birds start passage,
But I don't see sweet sign: O.M.

Firm against the tempest we stand
Hip to hip and hand in hand
And when your hair flicks my nose
An excited shiver reaches my toes
As we stand beneath shining full moon
I shuffle a little to create room
To fully appreciate the breathless sight
That is your beauty by silvery light
Then I look upon that incongruous stanza
Doubts roll through me like a German Panzer
But stressors melt at the touch of your palm
For when we embrace my mind goes calm
We hang our destinies on the same hook
And into a hazy future together we look

From Valhalla’s fortress of spears and shields,
Valkyrie riders make their daily runs…
Crossing Bifrost to Midgard’s battlefields,
Harvesting warriors till Ragnorak comes.
Flying from Valhalla on their war horses,
Thundering hooves beat like old battle drums,
Odin’s blond daughters watching the forces--
Harvesting warriors till Ragnorak comes.
Legionnaires, Pikemen, Hussars and Spartans;
Storm Troopers, Crusaders and Saracens;
Musketeers, Vikings, and Gladiators;
Watusi, Cossacks, and Conquistadors.
As long as men hear the sounds of war drums,
They’ll harvest the best till Ragnorak comes.
Valkyries search for those to stand vanguard,
Recruiting Odin’s Einherjar armies.
Warriors pass Valgrind to live in Asgard--
Honored to be served by the Valkyries.
Hoplites, Commandoes, and Mujahideens;
Samurais, Yeomen, and US Marines;
Guerrilas, Dragoons, and Panzer Tankers;
Grenadiers, Mamelukes, and Bezerkers.
As long as men hear the sounds of war drums,
Valkyries harvest till Ragnorak comes.

A wisp of oxygen coated in nicotine
A Pavlova tutu caught in the snare
Of a petticoat flooding like a
Mouthful of cigar smoke, rupturing
Clouds and folds beneath her
Like the angel of a Christmas tree
The cold glass eyes, filled like
A champagne flute, their cataracts
And dead black amnesiac stares
Watching and forgetting in an instant
Saline girl approaching like a panzer man
Caught in a bubble, completely
Separated, the heavy gate slammed
The cemetary forging into the photo frames
Those wide eyes told tales but
Now they sit on a shelf of wrinkles
Expressing pain for those young ones
Are gone now like the mothers chained
To parliament gates, fighting endlessly
Under the snow globes of petticoats
The netted window of sickness catching
Out shadows, the bubble, a fish
Bowl, her hand catching the rough salt
Watering the flesh. White apron, thick crimson cross.

Temperature's hovering at 103
Very much too hot for me,
A/C busted, that's
plain to see...
Tenant's squawking
What can I do, let's see....
Stuck in the middle,
The owners just piddle
All I need is a sad fiddle
To accompany my misery
I didn't break it, this I swear,
And should some say so
They'd better take care,
I have my Panzer grenadieres
On full alert,
And it won't be waterguns
That they will squirt
So get a fan, take a cold bath,
Sleep on your patio,
Don't incur my wrath
Take a chill pill.....
Take two or three,
We'll get it fixed,
This I will see...
Not fun being the manager
Responsibility for everything,
Authority to do nothing,
Frustrations build quick,
Can make one quite sick
But, this too shall pass,
Another challenge will
take it's place
Cause this just is an
endless race.
