Premium Member A Grand Day Out

Neck bones buckle
Bent to corners as kicked in knees
Establishing an angle —
Glazed, goggled gazing at the scene.

Solemn eyes fall down
To ground he couldn’t reach
To be caught for early welcome
Within his Saviour’s reach.

Announced like the crack of a circus whip
New arisen Lazarus
The pop and crunch of the watching crowd
Punctuates that Rapture.

Premium Member Out of Bounds

Swadling encrypt the contrarious slopes of a mired
entity coursed veinous stammer spurts bled
across a court of an unchallenged befitted named
as valor cornered the bleached to be razed
spirits encapsulate the branded sole championed
glory dazed betwixt ears of an abandoned
waning light fills purple sighs 'ill eve succumbed
bitterness spilt the downtrodden weighed
hung kicked a life out of bound the final scored

It's Been Said, I Never Ran Out

Tip's of Women?

Lounge flushed
In delusion
I plays
Issues of wear
And weather's are vain
Tip's of women
Tied entrances
As low as old war
Gushes enter our floor
Isn't hours tasking?
Asnt looming often rooming
Rooms join dolls bury
Hands praying? So ways say
Papers run in the filled nights
Breaking ideas, counts, verses, checks
On tables and on the mind
City damsels, men aren't rhymes

Okay honey man
Driftwood apartments
Kevin issues jazz
You accident prone today

Chaska home

I have been behind San Francisco Paris
Says speaks for itself
Fearless abandon
Call on shores
Runned in
Hip at the door

Night the session
Strange moon wander in question
Illusive paints
Harken of tame

Tara I uncover
Repent dowry upon my branch
Eyes drafting midnight
Hourglass tarnish adventures
Lost rehearsal

Premium Member Girls Night Out

Girls Night Out

Just to get away from the pressures of the day
Being able to cry, and vent
our problems away
Talking about things that's only understood by each other
Every talk we have takes the friendship a little further
We can always be ourselves because we know each other well
We relate our deepest secrets because neither of us will tell
Music moments are the best because we share the same song
Finding solutions to each problem as we help each other along
When it comes to eating out or going shopping we never go dutch
If one is broke the other pays to show we love each other that much
Through thick and thin, broke and paid or when we have enough
We always cherish these moments especially when the times get tough

Premium Member Three Aliens Camped Out

three aliens camped out in the desert in the heat of the day
Their skin which had been green, turned a tiny bit more gloomily gray
They were huddled around a campfire or was it a TV?
I tried to tiptoe past them, hoping their intentions were friendly

One of them pointed and my head began to twirl around my neck
It rotated three-hundred-and-sixty-degree circle, what the heck?
the aliens laughed; one of them handed me a tin full of beer
I did not dare reject it, because I was now trembling with fear

funny stories were told in their alien language, which I did not know.
I was relieved at two thirty-five a.m. when they finally let me go.
they had a giggle that clued me as to when I should laugh
I ran all the way home to hug my cuddly, a furry giraffe.

Let's fly out

Lost in writing iambic couplets, the moon and sea
Sounds of whispers from between long eyelashes
Waves moving from side to side, a provocation
Quick, let's fly out, chirping the wild ducks

Premium Member And This Man Has the Nerve to Call Out Trump

      Jolly jelly-belly J.B. Pritzker
Your wife’s health you took pains not to risk her

Flew her on a private plane
While with Covid you raised Cain

Hypocrisy portrays you ~ tsk, tsk, sir

      ________________________________________________

'all Illinoisans' and closing all schools and

     of Spring, 2020.

Knifes out

Knifes out pointed at us,
Surrounded
Spears out,
To hunt us down,
Build your pyre,
Light the fire,
Screams.
You hold your knife at me,
But I’m not your meal,
You just needed fresh meat.

Premium Member Hustled in and Hustled Out

a photo moment for the pretty blonde singer
she is hustled into a tent with soldiers who pretend to be happy
this is Viet Nam 1969
They have seen many young men killed and maimed
But at this moment they paste on smiles
pretending all is well
incase their loved ones see this photo
knowing it might be the last time they might see them in any photo
the pretty blonde singer stands sassily in her white gogo boots
knowing nothing of the horrors these men have seen
she is hustled out as fast as she was hustled in
a five-minute photo op
propaganda to try to pretend it was not as bad as it was

my heart in and out

my heart rises, falls like restive waves
it brings the weight of fears I cannot voice.
joy swells then slips silently away
memories lingers like salt on my skin
i follow its pull, unsure but alive
in its rhythm, I find my steady beat

Premium Member Why is Dancing out of Style

Why did dancing go out of style
        I don’t think it’ll be back for a while

Why did rap music become a thing
It’s like listening to week-old refried chicken wings

And when did art degenerate into indoctrination
It speaks to the dumbing down of this nation

Summing things up, I’d say ~
Our culture’s been left to hyenas and vultures

Premium Member Red Floor and Out the Door

under foot a pebble, no
opposite toe scrapes it off
crimson sole and toe
shard of glass missed the dust bin
and both feet caught the action

spouse to the rescue
bandaids and antiseptic
blood dripping on floor
socking up; putting on shoes
standing for the next three hours

Tapped Out

I can’t afford
pride
I’m poorer
than that

I can’t afford
humility
Accomplishment
lacks

I can’t afford
vengeance
All hate
for myself

And least afford
love
Emotion
— unfelt

Premium Member The Look-out

Dare a blade of glass stir
       ‘neath his eagle eye
or a leaf from a tree silent
        take to the sky

     A rustle of undergrowth
        arouses his concern
from signs such as this one
        the look-out will learn

     what the enemy’s planning
        from where it is coming
     another night at his post
        ~ displaying his cunning
