On The Money

To Americans, July 4th
is Independence Day,
with; barbecues, concerts, fireworks,
picnics, parades, patriotic festivities,
(a.k.a., Freedom Day).
Despite the star-spangled banner's,
red, white and blue,
to that of the British Union Jack,
being identical in hue,
flag-waving they're compelled,
or conditioned, so to do.
The U.S. Constitution does define,
'Treason' as... the only crime
consisting of levying war
against them, and/or,
to their enemies adhering,
with comfort and aid
by all means conveyed.
To those in England,
considering, in 1776,
colonists went their own sweet way,
it's the ultimate 'Treason Day'.
And, altho' the U.S. touts
'Separation of Church and State',
yea, verily I say,
is it not hypocritically unjust
of them to print on their money,
'In God We Trust'?

Premium Member A Question For the Us Mint

A little question for the U.S. Mint, how do you decide which President to print?
Which Presidential portrait fits best on the money?
Why did you put President Jackson's face on the $20?
If Abraham Lincoln was our best President, why is
he only on the $5's that we've spent?
It's well known that George Washington slept everywhere,
so perhaps a lower denomination was morally fair.
A chance for a little historical reflection, please explain
this currency connection?

The last two lines are a play on words from President Lincoln's first inaugural address when he took the oath of office to become the 16th President of the United States. Lincoln closed with the phrase "... the better angels of our nature." I'm just trying to be honest, Abe :)

I am thrilled for you
Really and truly I am
Loyal servant am I
And a fair-weather fan

I love that you wear
Your heart on your sleeve
When it comes to the sharing
Of what you believe

And although I may never
Stumble across
You out shopping, at a bus stop,
Or out dancing to Bros

I will really be sad
At the end of your reign
For I know this will never
Happen again.

You have led and encouraged
Set the tone for this place
Made your mark, you could say
More than sharing your face

On the money we spend
And the letters we write
You have been a consistent,
Glimmering light.

I hear that you laugh
Far much more than we see;
That you're joyful and cheeky
When you are able to be.

And my favourite moment,
As I'll tell you in heaven,
Was when you teamed up
with 007

I will ask of your thrones:
"Have you ever sat in 'em?"
Regardless, I'll say:
"You're still worthy of Platinum"

So a heartfelt congrats,
In a simple refrain..
All the best to you Ma'am
On your 70-year reign.

Instinct whispered
  Trust your gut
Put your money on it
  It's a three-foot putt

Don't breathe a word
  Keep your lips sealed
If you blow one more
  It's beg or steal...

Your putter meets ball
  You can't bear to look
Was your gut on the money
Or is luck just a crook

Note: Visualize miniature golf: A putter is
the club you use in miniature golf. A three-
foot putt is really short, less than a meter
from the hole. Normally golfers don't miss
them. But when there's big money riding
on the outcome...

Walter Cronkite and Why He Was So Right

Walter was so right,
In his fight for right,
While not too far to the right.

Walter was a shining light,
A guiding light,
All his weight behind the light.

His quotes right on the money,
But not for the sake of the money,
His eyes on everything but money.

Walter told us we need more independent news outlets,
Not a few biased outlets,
Or ones that give only those up to no good outlets.

But most of all we want more than one editing room,
More than one news room,
To give investigative journalism more leg room.

Judas Sop

Look at those leper thieves in the temple,
crooked preachers taking their crouching cut
Spotted souls standing at the pulpit,
spewing false doctrines of idol prosperity

Blind guides for the carnal-minded simple,
scaly bellies full of paper worms from the flesh glut
Iscariot eyes ... silver coins culprits
Clouds without water, empty wells of charity

Partakers of the beheading and crucifixion,
trading places with a devilish grin
Sons of Herod and Pilate
wearing ceremonial cloaks of iniquity

Leopard paw jaws speaking carcass perdition,
shedding innocent blood is a kill sin
Holy laws they love to violate,
lusting to rule with wanton authority

Smell the greedy dogs who can’t get enough,
wicked moneychangers vomiting on the feast table
Balaam eyes receiving their Judas sop,
carry that holey money bag bound tight to their hip

Robed impostors living on an identity bluff,
telemarketing bazaar salvation purchased on cable
Selling good luck incense 6 dollars a pop,
as their alm lips got a closed grip on the money clip

Blame It On the Money

Look at our daughters
They now show no ill in laying with men old as their fathers
Look at our sons
Nothing is holding them back from scamming the green people with their bad brain and laptops

Look at our mothers, fathers, the young men and alike; women,
They now have no time for their own children,
Everyone is too busy searching for just one thing,
And that is known as MONEY!

Why will a lady lay with a dog?
Or why’ll she prefer to be known in the environ as a hog?
Is it not just for one thing?
They choose to sell their body?

Why will a schooler choose to become a drop-out with no good passion?
But he’s trying to boycott hardships and hardwork
He’ll just join the bad gang
And will receive money off stealing from the innocent man

He’ll swerve off money from the fleeceable parents
And to all their good, he’ll put an end
He’s not retarded
He just wants the wealth; in anyway it comes and at whatsoever cost, he cares less!

Blame it on the money,
What is ours is now owning us,
And we still show no remorse,
As even today, some of your sons and daughters are still singing this MONEY SONG!

Goodbye Paige Goodbye Kate

Oh Kate
You never told me
It a grey feeling
Just a dismal hunch
Pretty Kate
Sweet Kate
Always there

Yes Kate
A gift for thee

There for Bram Flakes
There for schmear
There for ersatz food
Yes Kate

You taught me how
To enjoy ersatz food
Without grimacing

You were there.
We scarcely spoke.

I saw you poor
I tried to help you.

Forever high school Kate.
Pink monkeys and lingerie
Forever senior prom
Your eyes on the money.
Yes Kate

I shall miss you.

Texas friend, oh Kate.
Goodbye to the Lone Star.

Surfing and bodyboarding
The great white shark and Kate
Wondered what you did
California Kate the swimsuit lady
I forgave you for the drndls
With the cut outs - you made bikinis
You the confused friend, the lost sister
Kate oh Kate - goodbye.

Laughter On a 125

Cackle, Chortle, Chuckle with glee,
Crack-up with crowing, and giggle "tee hee",
Hilarity, merriment, rejoice with a roar,
Shrieking, sniggering, Cheering, Guffaw

"Hi-di-Hi", har-de-har,
Snorting a lot,
Don't follow Frankie Howard,
Don't "titter ye not"

Absurd and amusing,
Comic and droll
Sarcasm and Irony
Like an internet troll

Facetious and farcical,
Fantastic and Funny
Mirthful and Mocking
Are all on the money

So remember these synonyms,
When you need to be dafter
Cos the world's so much nicer
When you fill it with...

... laughter.

Can'T We All Just Get Along

Can't We All Just Get Along

We need to take a good look from within let me begin
Shattered glass blood stained riots in our street
Some may seem to far way out of reach
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plow

There is a stirring in the wind a line being drawn in the sand
Let me be the first willing to understand the man with the plan
In the 70's Joni Mitchell coined the phrase, "We are stardust".
Through vast languages in the essential degree

This should never fall on deaf ears it's my humble plea
The smoke screen is in violation of our trust
In a 21st century world that's in to much of a rush
We push & shove just to get ahead of what

The tear gas blasted makes me want to throw up
Can't we all just get along should become our national theme our song
Yet we choose to hide behind the false hidden garb of compromise
Can't we see through all those shallow lies

The famed Rodney King was right on the money honey
Take a stand by sticking it to the man with the plan
We have come this far not to turn back now
There's no use in hanging your head low by looking back at the plow !

Heaven Forbid

Well he's my friend and I'd never
Do anything to betray him but
The things you say and do when
We’re alone I get the feeling you're
Just using him to get to me...
Well HEAVEN FORBID I'm wrong
But my intuition is usually right
On the money...so what can I do?
I can't go accusing you of being
Unfaithful just because you're
Eyes seem to say let's get down
And dirty, I wanna try you on
For size...I try to turn away but
You put your arms around me
And whisper into my ear damn
Baby you're so hot, I bet you're
Packin' give me what you got
It’s tempting I must say but I have
More respect for my buddy
Than to go there and I swear
If you're just using him to
Get to me well I've got news
For you I won't betray him...
HEAVEN FORBID I'm wrong
'Cuz he's so crazy about you
Maybe you're just a tease
And you wouldn't be unfaithful
To him but if you're just using
Him to get to me then I hope he
Sees through you before he
Gets his heart broken...well
HEAVEN FORBID I'm wrong
But my intuition is usually
Right on, right on the money
And if I was someone else you'd
Probably let me spank that monkey
Still HEAVEN FORBID I'm
Wrong, HEAVEN FORBID I'm
Wrong!

It's Not Funny

My Parting Gift.

It’s not Funny

Never leave Life’s bus behind.
It’s full of much that rhymes.

Count only on the adventure.
Even if the need for dentures.

Don’t count on the money honey.
From me it's not funny or coming.

Your Still the Best Baby

your my honey
always on the money
