The Asian version of Life
Is of a wheel that endlessly spins
Rotating in kaleidoscopic scenes
Of beings in realms
Trapped by their karmas in endless suffering
Endless until it, of course, ends
Which is what all things must eventually do.
In the West the dominant view is now
Of an endless cycle of Life
Where we don’t actually become anything
After we die, just a nutritional building block
In the ecological web of growth and decay.
It’s a rational seeming world view,
But one devoid of soul.
On the whole these two views compliment
And complete each other;
Soulful and soulless
To give a sense of life on the wheel.
But the truth is neither are complete,
Together or alone
Because neither sees what lies beyond the wheel.
Of course, they say eternity and annihilation respectively
But what is the it that endures or dissolves?
And if it endures was it ever really trapped?
And if it dissolves was it ever really existent?
Somewhere between is the middle way
Free of extremes and labels,
Free to simply be, what is, inherently ineffable.

You will see: Mercy and Unity
In a safe bed hole
Mother feeds baby bee
Feed on pretty flowers
After absorbing the pollen
Leave flowers without stains.
Help breed future flowers.
Take home, sweet food,
To produce honey: A nutritional value
Sometimes, somehow,
Man unwillingly commits something,
With a lack of consciousness.
All Earth's sacred tribes
From seeds
to nuts
and eggs
and embryos
and guts
Organically start sacred life
as faithful panentheists
Receiving nutritional manna
from MotherSky's
Gaian healthcare
wealth of heaven.
Jim starts the day with good intention
Jobs need doing that require his attention.
The garden needs a good sprucing up
His vegetation 'triffids' are running amok.
He mows the lawn, trims the hedges,
Creates those nice, neat lined edges.
Weeds the borders, deadheads the flowers,
Feeds the plants their nutritional powers.
The hard soil is dug, ready and prepped
To sow the seeds for home grown veg.
Must not forget to prune back the tree
A labour of love is what it can be.
Hours of work that seemed never ending
His body and limbs, stretching and bending.
Sun burnt skin, his head now aches
Back is killing him, so takes a break.
Joints and muscles moan and groan
Weeds now gone are finally dethroned.
Jim's bones applaud with clicks and cracks
His badge was the sting when a wasp attacked.
Admiring his garden that he has served
His body felt it carried every ache in the world.
The thing Jim will remember and quickly did learn
To wear factor fifty to avoid the sunburn.

Everyone wants to save my life,
Everyone to whom sugar is knife...
But shame to all sellers of sugar,
Who dread it more than jumping cougar!
They tell me my case is different ;
Fifty two years on Earth apparent.
I begin to fear the Devils rate
At which I court all carbohydrates,
Like one clearly acting in bad faith,
Not well- expressed Nutritional Faith
A trifling too, with the Christian Faith
"And one wouldn't want to smile at Death !"
Then remembered I my daily walk
And a teacher's long hours at talk,
Holding like cigarette a long chalk,
Much worse than a hunter's dragging stalk
