I'll be back before it gets dark
after we get tired of playing king of the hill.
Sun sets so late in summer
against the willows..
sometimes I forget.
No, it just isn't so.
I don't always choose them over you,
'course I could never tell you that.
You're a girl, a special one.
But I can't tell you that either.
Still, when you told me your stomach hurt,
and I was the reason..
I believed you.
Don't know what to say, never seem to
'cept maybe
'Sorry you feel bad, I know that place too.'
'Put your sandals on, I'll walk you home
we can go slow.'
Oh alright - looks over her shoulder to the gang
'now we can hold hands.'
daffodils thrust
themselves through
winter's cold soil
again
first day of spring~
sunrise and the violet
of your eyes
myriad colors
in ranks and rows
at the greenhouse
new garden
seed is sown
now we wait
Here now we're alive, this we know
But this knowing is not enough
How may we dark desires rebuff
Wherefrom does vital life breath flow
If it were fickle, we would die
Is there a way, to wingless fly
What's the source that does joy endow
Where lies sublime bliss without end
If we're soul, how may we ascend
To know the truth, let's make thoughts slow
We then see our Self as it is
God's living light, throbbing with bliss
Ah! We're in the boat, God does row
Wish someone had told us before
Love in love with love keeps no score
Here now we're alive, this we know
Wherefrom does vital life breath flow
What's the source that does joy endow
To know the truth, let's make thoughts slow
Ah! We're in the boat, God does row

Constanza ( invented by Connie Marcum Wong)
Small baby steps, one at a time
Take that we may heavenward climb
Mindfully slowing down thought flow
Aligned always with bliss beats chime
Clear truth dawns in staid stillness slow
Bliss beats rise, heightening soul’s glow
Who we truly are, becomes clear
God dwells within us, now we know

We were all once beautiful
the way a curling leaf
or surf-washed pebble is.
The best eye-shades
are spiral time-bombs.
Song-birds tick like clocks
when they are silent.
Great grandmothers
cook ghosts in kitchen pots
and we are still here
asking for more.
Now bones remember their dust,
the scratchy flakes of calcium under fire.
Now we are beautiful once more,
flames in ice-water.
We gleam into the unseen
waiting to be breathed into
beauties last inferno.
nowhere to hide
God’s inside us
let’s glide with love

The sun has risen bright and cold.
December shines. The roads glisten with frost.
A bright sky flares, makes all stare into sheets of light,
Now opaque, now a glaring dazzle.,
the light steals our sight for want of any shaded defining.
There is glory in the air
but also a perilous power that blinds.
Many cannot look but must watch their steps,
they shuffle along groping for handholds in the sparking air.
Some search for a dark glass to see through,
other's secretly know that they are not even close to seeing
the Mind that looks through them.
There is something in your eyes
I see your soul
Floating in abundance your spirit awesome
A beauty to behold
The fragrance of your stance
O' so lovely our heart beats by chance
Blood flows oxygen shows
God has given he gave you His breath
As i gaze upon you awe
All I have is awe
and left come harnessing the delights come
Hither in the light
Let's share breaths
God has given us
This has a witness
We now shall kiss

We used to like Yoda
we used to like Gandalf
we used to like The Power Rangers
but now we just like Golf
remember days with Pog cards
they were flipping bad
mornings with your rock hard
and now we're going mad
Back when we were young
all was an unknown
soon we will be done
where did the time go
Puberty's a crisis
midlife is a crisis
wondering if Christ is
and if so why is ISIS
After good comes
a mental stain
flaccid wood flung
florescent stain
We used to dream and wonder
now we sleep and slumber
the old just seem to wonder,
life to six foot under
we used to like Gandalf
now we like Golf
we used to like Yoda
soon it's all over
5000 Years from the Now We Know
David J Walker
5000 years from
the now we know
Who will unearth our bones
For another final examination
As the scholar's flock
To the dig site
For their share of the
Trove of information
At best
They may only guess
At what were our expectations
With antiquated technologies
And 21-century information.
Now we are electric, and dying to be
imprinted onto whiteness.
We long to see that dark ink of our minds.
Some call all this talk
deathbed scenes torn from our youth,
some say nothing at all but tap
to unwrap a breathless thought.
Now we are this tap-tapping
on the lids of space-boards -
open casket viewings, penny-weight eyes
rising to world where life
can be rehearsed again.
Going to the light,
a framed light, an asking light,
where words wait to be buried again
into a blind humming ether.
Conquering doubts by God's truth
let's now emerge triumphant
steadfast with our strengthened faith.
Smiting vain selfish delight
let's now persevere to reach-out
caring while sharing the Saviour's Gospel.
Battling against futility
let's now work and labour well
expecting for fruitful harvest by the Creator's grace.
Winning over guilt-inflicted agony
let's now claim for the Lord's pardon
confessing sins and receiving His peace.
Prevailing over slothfulness
let's now do our very best with excellence
fulfilling roles heartily for the glory of our Master.
Burying in oblivion frustration angst
let's now press* on for vibrant daily life
trusting the Almighty Who always blesses us.
*Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

In Memory of George Floyd.....
Now we breathe for you little brother, and take up your mantle.
And, we are in no mood in taking no for an answer.
You have carried the burden for so many of us.
Extracted humanity, and caused a global fuss.
This is just the beginning. Nowhere near the end.
By the time we are finished, you will have your revenge.
Most of us didn't know you, but man, what you have stirred.
A voice so loud, it has now engulfed the world.
Hypocrisy has been exposed, and can no longer hide.
And, for this to happen, you had to give your life.
If there was ever a martyr that actually followed through.
Don't you worry little brother, we all now breathe for you.
As we sit inside our homes
We sit together and alone
change the world we have known
A brand new side of life is shown
Life so selfish and fast paced
our aims, ambitions out of place
The daily grind, the daily race
we now live without this the case
We seek to further for selfish gain
now we play a selfless game
a boat which we all row the same
to keep ourselves and close ones safe
And how the air now tastes clear
the wildlife which does appear
appreciation in national cheer
it took the fear to get us here
But now we know the good of change
neighbours whom are not estranged
Togetherness at first quite strange
all to stop the germ exchange
An understanding we now include
social distance not seen as rude
I do it for me I do it for you
And the rest do it for each other too
A change of life unforeseen
a care and unity never been
Humankind within a dream
A human race we had never seen
From these moments we see the best
with a new anxiety our only stress
as we lay our past ways to rest
I hope that soon you are my guest
"We gather, we meet
We sit on blankets and sheets
We meet up…
Conversing rehearsing
What we’re going to say in the moment"
"We gather we meet
Conversing sitting as couples in pairs
Wondering who, what, why and where
What’a up! "
"You say why we are sitting in groups on the grass
We just chilling out here on this field
After a party gathering and a cool race bout…
Been a long day out
Now we rest"
