Now Is The Hour Poems | Examples

Clocking Out

About to procrastinate
am putting it off
setting it aside
it's never too late
it can wait
as
now is the hour
no time
like the present
nothing important
I can't circumvent
didn't wind the clock
gave my watch away
don't need to know
what week it is
nor hour of the day
nowhere I have to be
no one's expecting me
from this moment on
no long hard climb
just eating drinking wining dining
I'm living on island time

Now

Now is the hour.
This is the day.
Whatever we do
soon fades away.

Yesterday's dreams
are today's cash.
Don't let your hopes
fall in the trash.

Do it today.
Tomorrow's not sure.
Our hopes are not spent.
We can do more,

All that's undone
slips into the past.
What we accomplish
is real at last.

Taxes

Now is the hour.
I have to pay my taxes.
But why?
Everything I buy has a tax on it.
Isn't that enough?
What does our government
do with the tax money?
They waste it for their own pleasure,
leaving us to starve,
or sleep out in the cold.
I call that greed.
Why must we have
Income Tax,
State Tax,
Sales Tax?
Property Tax?
The government wants
to take away our Social Security?
What we need is a good
old fashioned revolution.
We should be working for ourselves,
not the government.

Hour of Power a Salute To Eminem

the course of of our lives
had to fight off a zombie sucker in the night
a crust of the bisquit isthe apostrophe
some folks like to get away take a hide away from the neighborhood
KRS- 1 in my philosophy is relevant for today
Eminem is still my friend where do I even begin again
meditation, communication & soul vexation

the likes of Drake make no mistake calling out our fate
Pac is is one great brother who held his head up
fess up to Scarface with the Diary sucker
burning Todd Bridges leave him with best wishes
leave up one hump Trump to his no it all wall
sticking with the flow one mic in my hand
when to understand

love is deep inside of me my fame to flame for society
had to take a freakin break getting loose as a goose
spreading my wings on a caboose
Rat tit tat tat got some flames on my ass
no one gets by on a free pass
simpler times with ill but faded rhymes
get stearing wheels on steel thrills on every situation
now is the hour of power gots to take a hot shower
fill up a pool without any water
Eminem knows how to flow on point
just some things you ought to know
bust up the beat to promote the tempo

Say What You Mean

Say what you mean

Human spirit, man of the hour;
Mirror shatters, sun and showers.
Picture of youth lost in a fire,
Summer is gone, now is the hour.

Living alone brings peace of mind;
I need a piece of pie to feed my hunger.
Live forever seems like punishment to me,
I’m scared of death endlessly; it is the curse I am under.

Write down your thoughts to remember the good times,
Write down your thoughts to heal the bad.
Say what you mean when you want to say something,
Think about what it is you are trying to say.

Life is a laugh if you are happy on the inside;
Keep a smile on your face so they don’t know how you really feel.

My Son

As a tear runs down my cheek
the world might see me as weak.
But a pain that has no end
devours me day and night
until I feel spent,
useless, a candle without light.

Could I have done more?
Why didn't I dig to the core?
If only I made that last call
maybe I would have seen
his ultimate brick wall
How different things could have been.

But now is the hour to let go
Time to fight my own foe
allow him the peace and rest
Only has he forgone me
His sun setting in the west
a short while before my own will be.

The Examination Contest

Our appearance
said we are
intelligent
and our attitude
applauded more.
Yes,that is
extremely
unprecise.
Now is the hour for
action.
Pick pencil,pen and
paper
that we may know
the Lionel Messi
that will have the
golden boot.
You thought you are
the Shakespeare
or the John Dalton
of science,
Your hand must tell.

You must be like
Trajon.
If you made pillow
and bed
your best friends,
do you think you are
the one
to get the pin inside
a deep blue sea?

Answers won't fall
like manna,
unless you seek it
earlier.

We all are not
unintelligent.
But that alone can't
give success.
For success is
determination
and determination
is success.
The need to be as
determined as WWE
Taker
is necessary for the
being first.
If any question is
hard out to crack,
we too must be as
stubborn as ram.

Among the billions
of us,one is require.
Then,the rest will
kiss the ground.
Display your talent
for even when you
fail
"a bull will be given
to you"

Into the Night

Into the Night my thoughts are sped
	Into the realm of Dream
After the sun's last rays have fled
And all the stars do gleam
Fast in the Dark, my weary head
Is soothed by a stray moonbeam

Dragons of Sleep appear above
	Swallowing up the skies
Lorelei whisper dreams of love
-- Lilting, alluring lies --
Deep in a secret moonlit grove
I close my longing eyes

When in the Night my thoughts are sped
	Phantasmal forms arise
Daemons alight beside my bed
Shifting their shapes before my eyes
When I'm among the quick and dead
I still shall dread their cries

Into the Nether-world of Night
	Adrift on a starlit sea
Crystalline vistas fill my sight
As cold arms encompass me
Awash on a sunneless wave of light
I hasten to Fate's decree

Now does the hand of Peace descend
Now does the moon burn red
Now is the hour when mem'ries blend
With visions of Hope and Dread
Alone in the Night, my gentle friend
I bend my star-crossed head

Premium Member The Leaving

(6th May 2002)

Oh! Upon this day with the saddest eyes
I with regret farewell Auckland City,
To depart with the fondest of goodbyes
Of its people and sea shores pretty.

Although not a child of thy civil womb
You took in a desperate family,
My adoption the fruit of your spring bloom
In return labour given readily.

I leave within your care my youngest son
A Kiwi lad if any he’s become,
Our different accents becoming spun
Like the seed of one’s culture ne’er succumb.

So farewell Aotearoa farewell
Now is the hour a tale of you to tell.

Time Will Tell

~Time Will Tell~
Time passes us by today
Life is short and yet we pray
For much more time
No time left no time to play
No time - not even to pray
Theft is a crime
The thief of time who can slay?
He steals our lives we are prey
Not much more time…

Hopes not fulfilled from our prime
Dreams not come true, the bells chime
Counting the hours.
It’s up hill the path to climb
Life is hard, there is no mime
Smell the flowers.
The hours drip out like a rhyme
Drip drip, drip, there is no time…
Who has power?

From the edge of a tower
Look over and the skyline scour
Beauty surrounds
Breathe in life, you have the power
Find time to smell the flower
Life is around…
Look take stock now is the hour
Grasp time back take the power
Hold- life abounds…

Song of Democracy

Democracy In Nigeria
It’s been ages you passed into deep slumber
Or rather you were long dead, democracy
You have striven to rise but fall many times
Your limbs were over-powered by some political demons
You have been crushed in the dust by some powerful beasts
The people with green skinned body, white spirit and green soul
Are eager to see you come alive again and take your full course
Take control to the fullness you place in their leadership
They know the time has come and now is the hour
They cry, they sing, they shout, they talk, they pray, they hope and believe
Equally important, they are ready to work, support, and vote
To see the emergence of a new democratic Nigeria
The reality, evidential rebirth of democracy in a new Nigeria

Fearful Calling

fire, fire
now is the hour
where valor is required
of men who were called and desired
a higher calling when called to fight fires
fire burns
and what we learned was
a fireman was like a mother
who runs water on the burn
mysteries are awakened
by the calling they've earned
why risk death in a burning building
we spurn
the soul of a fireman we may never learn
God bless the fireman who in their final hour
that did what God required
with faith God inspired

Let Me See Through Your Eyeballs...

I already saw many things
Through my own precious eyes
Vision is really a great blessing
Thank God for that privilege

I saw many things and heard a lot
I didn't grasp them all completely
But I tried to defend them always
Because they were my own views and judgements

I tried to build up my life
Based on my self-made philosophy
I never listened to what others saw
I thought it meant for them and not for me

Now I realize I was mistaken
I am glad I learned it at least now
I don't worry it is too late
I believe I can make it very well

I always feel young at heart
It is one of the positives I have
It helps me to rise again from destructions
And extend my wings to soar high up in the sky

Today is the day and now is the hour
Open your eyes ,see around
Tell me what do you see, and what do you think
I will definitely listen to you with respect
