No expectations or hopes, just a numbness within..
No pain to endure, just a soul stripped thin.

Nothing to Lose?
I’ve got no money in the bank
Can’t afford to fill my tank
I haven’t got any property
I live in a town called poverty
I don’t want to die of cold
I’m not anxious to grow old
So nuclear war sounds good
Cause there’s no Robin Hood
For once only the rich will lose
So there’s no real bad news
Do whatever you like
Before the next price hike
My larder’s running low
A nuke has a nice warm glow
I haven’t got a yacht
So I really don’t give a jot
There’s nothing you can destroy
Life for millions holds no joy
As we all teeter on the edge
Can’t afford two meat and veg
Do you understand my view?

Every time I hear this song, I think of you
I imagine you singing it to me, although you haven’t before
But as a musician, I can hear your voice
Reaching others everywhere you go
Music has a way of making our souls dance
These meaningful inner-steps we take inside
A place to rest in a song, bringing comfort
During the times it is needed the most
The gift of a singer with an instrument to play
Is something to be cherished, listening…
As it connects us, moves us, brings everything to life

When you are pushed back by your foes
When your very friends desert you,
When you have reached a dead end
And have nowhere to go;
Then spark off with a blast
That will destroy all humiliation -
And the world will behold your light;
Filled with an amazing sensation.
When your heart is destroyed
By the very ones you loved,
When you are deceived, decepted
Betrayed and bluffed;
Then show your true potential,
To the world which considered you weak
Show your amazing perseverance
Until you reach the peak.
When your road of hope is blocked
And in utter despair are you,
When your back is pushed against a wall
And you have nothing to lose,
Then clench your fists and vow;
And the world to which you were a muse,
Would be bound to respect you in every stage
For now, you have nothing to lose!
Nothing to lose
My psyche is in disarray
Feeling under constant duress
I throw tantrums
As emotions wreak havoc with my senses
My life is not my own
I feel unable to be me
Everyone wants a piece of me
No one wants to know who I am
They wish to rearrange me
Confusing me
Exhausting me
I guard my freedom jealously
The ability to be me
Makes me happy
I ferociously cling to my individuality
I am no one else but me
I have sated and unfilled needs
My wants often harass my psyche
I sometimes feel deeply unhappy
But contentment can sometime comfort me
I am a mixture of emotions
That often disturb me
The melting pot of my mind
Is the birth place of my eccentricity
I like being me
I am thankful for my history
I hope to ride the ups and downs
That is a life full of variety
I want to achieve immense heights
I want glory mixed with infamy
I have nothing to lose
My pride will bolster me
My humour will comfort me
My resolve will carry me
On a California day
I stand toes in the sand
Sipping the sanguine truth.
That deep blue water
Has laid many a man to rest.
To me it is like a dream
Both real and out of grasp.
I dream of row boats
And a woman in a summer dress.
We talk and laugh
About the trials that life as laid
At our feet.
The tide carries us out to sea
But we don’t notice
Until it is too late.
Then frantically I try to row us ashore.
We wring our hands,
Make excuses
And try desperately to make light
Of our situation.
My muscles ache as I pull against the current
Is it too late?
And then we spot a frigate
And wave them to our side.
They tow us in past the tide
As we sit and sip our wine
And laugh at our luck.
It is easy to be free
When you have nothing to lose.
i live this life, with nothing to lose, i stay wide awake, while i just want to snooze, i know all the facts, but not all the trues, im stuck in this spot, the tapes and the glues. i have all the hints, but not all the clues, im sick of this life, but don't have the flus, whatever you say, i hope its good news, forever alone, i wont say the dos. im going downhill, whatever i choose, you wouldn't survive, a day in my shoes, i know i cant dance, but can sing the blues, and im all alone, while you take a cruise. people may think, im covered in ooze, but really im me, i don't care for booze, i fried all the rice, and boiled the stews, im just a one, while your all in twos.
Broken, Cold, Empty, Devoid of hope
These are the forgotten generation
These are the few who stood up
The young that fell for such a cause
Lost, scarred, unremembered,
These boys sent with hope of glory
Learn instead what it costs
To die a nameless death
Over they go with nothing to lose
