Ninety Nine Poems | Examples

Sarabande on reaching the age of ninety-nine

I know these are not hidden passions that will hide
let say for instance when the country is tasting either
  tik or tok-
I know even the world itself sometimes itches or
bubbles or cheers like a resournating glass or
    monster?.
Since years are gone and love is beholding strong.
What then is such redress through?.

For that zero point one percent there ain't no cure
In the overall scheme
Their effect has no steam
They're as worthless as all get out, so immature

Premium Member Ninety-Nine Years

I smiled, when my mother had died
I knew, her death was soon to be
Ninety-nine years...so oft, she cried
Not for herself, she cried...for me

Someone waiting, dad, I suppose
At gate...with an "Never-Die" rose
Finally, pain she suffered...no more
Lord, has her soul, thy...to adore

When my mother had died, I knew
Her death was soon to be, I smiled
So oft, she cried...not for herself
She cried, for me...ninety-nine years

Just one more year, I wished...she had
I'm sorry, but feeling...bit sad

Premium Member Maxwell Smart and Ninety-Nine

Maxwell Smart and wisest Ninety-nine.
One is a boob, the other just fine.
1960’s fun,
Always on the run.
One is logical, other a whine.

We are selling shirts for six ninety-nine.
They have school colors – tangerine and lime.
They are scratchy and wrinkly most of the time.
Come closer, young pigeons, only six ninety-nine.

Ninety-Nine Milligrams

Ninety-nine Milligrams

Corners and shadow, in silence so long
This is my world, it is my own
Does not conform to conventional guidelines
So they labeled it autism
Fools, they are so close to the truth yet so far
Reality is mutable here and so I make it
Heaven and Hell, for many and none
A stained and tainted strand frayed and withered
Time without memory passes
Yet the seasons give testament
Dendrites dance within the cannabis indica
Fractured thoughts and lithium induced haze
He's going back to the future.

He Left Ninety-Nine

There is a madness here, stuck in my brain
and these thoughts and feelings are driving me insane
held hostage of my thoughts, within these bitter walls
no escape, no where to run, dark, are these lonely halls

My Father in Heaven, you have taken away your light
it is among this madness I twist and turn and fight
you can help me now, to take it all away
but you have chosen to let me go astray

where have you gone, my Shephard, when will you come for me?
the way is lonely and frightning, among all the shadows I see
Please come back, Lord, here my voice crying out to you
I would never have left, if I had only knew

Is that you I see, there surrounded by a shimmer of light?
Is it you I see, having come after me, this long wretched night?
Is it you out there calling a name that is mine?
He's come, He's come to find me, He has left the other ninety-nine

Ninety Nine Times Denied

something
has come about
the moon and sun
have been drowned out
nothing
is going to change
this miraculous endeavor
nobody
has ever told me
to go about this any other way
time to fly
soar so high
ninety-nine
rounds denied
yes, the 100th one will hurt
bring it back
time to score
yes they want me many other ways
satan has
drawn his cape
he's cowered beside the fire
shadows overwhelm his weakened, weathered frame
he whispers in, my withered ears
ninety-nine times denied
ninety-nine times denied
all in vein
yes, the 100th one will hurt
