Premium Member As Nike Says

Wrestling with two options without cease;
Your heart and mind at loggerheads.
Stuck between the rubicon of "Do" and "Don't!"
One flip of a coin lands erect in the dirt.
Now what? Take a chance; do as Nike says.

Boom

Awake in the hospital room missing a nike shoe with no clue/
What did you do to be in this dream so black and blue/
Not knowing what was done with all actions to run through/
Such a boom to life’s dome/
It’s a tune of gloom I don’t need to feed with a spoon/
I ate my doom and freight what’s to loom/
Always was more than a goon now I’m holding a broom/
All negativity to bloom trap it in that lagoon/
With a full notion and intention of compact direction/
Concerning personal complexion I can accept rejections/
There could be a compilation of infections/
No devotion of reciprocation shows I have no intersection/
No matter the corroboration in my position/
All the sudden I’m switch hitting and winning/
Feeling omissions with decisions of contact precision/
With the situation I’m in I have no choice but to be dwindling what’s held within/
This won't leave me in famine or in some big old hole digging.

From the eyes of a child
Like the rise of the Nile
Are brown rivers of soul and bold green chemistry.

Disobedient despite being scold
Never believing they'll get old
Creating cliques of tribal frenemy

New shoes Nikes or Tims painted white
worthy of slim boy girl fight
Running on black street growing ice cold

Fearless as the bullets fall
Silver gun tossed or lost
Like grey asphalt rose

From the eyes of a child
Once celebrated but not now
For cops and robbers no longer a game

Puberty is a dark cloud
Hanging stranger fruit found
Adults who train them never to blame.

Nike Sneakers

Nike sneakers are the best
They are better than the rest
Beautiful colors
Sexy water-colors
Dressed up with fly sneakers, you have zest

Oregon Inmate VS Nike

Nike’s been sued for its Air Jordan sneaks
I’m thinking the lawsuit’s a little bit weak
It’s by a young pimp caught beating a “john”
By stomping and kicking him on and on, on
He said that the “john” had skipped out on a client
And he was teaching the “john” how to be more compliant
He was charged with the use of a dangerous weapon
The shoes he was wearing when he did the stepin’
He’s claiming that Nike is partially to blame
For they made the “weapon” that he used to maim
He said there’s no warning on the box or the shoe
That say’s it’s a dangerous weapon – Who knew!

Nike

Its always gonna try you hard,

and make you break,

it will always make you show face and terrorize in pink lace...

Because I see movement of the waste-

its choreography decorates cake,

lets the whole place be a plate-

lets the rafters wave in place...

Because costly stages just might break,

and rotting basements just might take...

So slither away
and eat a homeless mans birthday,

in one try-

or one way.

Seizing the opportunity to come through to me,

just like a well seasoned spring,

coming and hugging,

like weed in the rain,

on a terrace-
unoccupied by the pain,
or people who bring the insane.

Not to sound wealthy but I'd go there again,

show my teeth breathing smoke and the thing,

being meaner than the bear losing her cubs to recycling.

Stop Look Listen!

This Emergency is Dire

I've Perched myself on a Telephone Wire

Crowds have gathered below

I'm starting to Perspire

I do not want Money or to Be known as Sire

All I Ask to soothe my Psyche

Is a simple pair of sneakers with a swoosh

And the letters spelled N-I-K-E

Our long walk,down into suffering,
head lifted high,up into glory

along a narrow way in His footsteps
sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise

This unryhmed couplet was inspired by 1 P 1:13 and Eph 1:13
