Today I’m grateful how I’ve been blessed throughout my life
to my utter surprise and pure delight…
how the hopes and wishes I make during the day
are the same ones that guide my dreams at night
May we be blessed to see and enjoy
all the beauty each day has to offer…
all the wonders that await us in the light….
While at the same time enjoying all the beauty
and the wonders that await us every night
night
flows dark
till dawn's light
wakes up Earth's bright
day
day
flows light
till dusk's dark
sleeps in Earth's dimmed
night
in the light of day
everything I do is right
that's not true of night
The drab moth is
banished to darkness,
the vibrant butterfly
prances elegantly~
beneath the early
morning sun
The morning sun is peeking in,
last night was a hot SLUMBER night.
Be gone hot summer days and nights,
the cool autumn is dancing in.
I dress for the busy work day,
hearing the sound of a GUITAR.
What is in the hot MISTY air,
making me full with deep sadness.
As I leave for the day WEARY,
I smell the sweet purple LILACS.
A beautiful morning flower,
for the butterflies to enjoy.
Can I CAJOLE you to make lunch,
ETCHING memories from my youth.
What a heavenly home cooked meal,
now filled with love I can just SIGH.
Each monster and demon have taken flight,
and I have made it through the night;
But there is another dragon I must slay,
and I will make it through the day.
Night was covered in pitch darkness.
Looked fearful without a ray of brightness.
Through wilderness, moved beasts monstrous.
Nature looked so terrifying and cheerless.
After a night’s sleep the sun woke up.
As a mighty king he climbed up.
The East, like a neon bulb got lighted up.
Bright rays from the golden globe came up.
Soon darkness from the earth moved out.
Men from their homes merrily came out.
Birds from their nests, into the sky, flew out.
Sweet songs from their beaks flowed out.
Clear and cool was the morning air.
Men set out for work with plans clear.
Buzzing with life, the day was back to cheer.
Earth turned once again a lovely sphere!
between night and day
a wild cat of nightmare roars -
grooms insomnia
The hoot owl was on the fiddle, the frog was dancing away.
Faeries, brownies and Luna moths joined in this October day.
Their frolicking was so much fun, they brought in a blue jay.
He stood back by the piano, giving their jive a bit of sway.
Nothing gloomy about tonight, they finally said as day went away.
They were now dancing in the moonlight, with a sky of gray.
The hoot owl gave the fiddle playing over to his cousin Shay.
The dancing continued through the night until the next day.
Night passes into day, day passes into night.
Each hour steers the course of the time we know of as life.
Walking slowly forwards on a track moving in the other way. We face the same questions, the same fears day after day after day.
Striking a balance between what is dream, desire and fixed in our souls.
Doubting is a disease that makes our dreams unfold.
Perhaps destiny plays a hand or perhaps it’s just simple, pure luck. We never really know as we’re dredging through the muck.
But holding on to a dream is a powerful light of hope.
Holding onto your dream maybe the answer to shut up all your woes.
Darkness
Peaceful, mysterious
Sparkling, dreaming, soothing
Luster, glow, brilliance, colors,
Warming, nurturing, dazzling
Abundant, precious
Light

NIGHT AND DAY
Night and day, black and white
Up and down, wrong and right
Opposites attract, or so they say
There’s nothing more different than night and day
One is dark and the other is light
Sunrise and sunset are a beautiful sight
Things that are different I think are okay
I don’t care what other people say
It would be very boring if we were all the same
Love and harmony should be our aim
Night and day, right and wrong
Why can’t we all just get along?
We all just want to be who we are
Is that ideal near or far?
This gray day fades away.
The evening sunset paints the clouds,
Beauty beheld through transparent shrouds.
Awaiting his return,
For he is whom for I yearn.
I won’t cry as I see the purple sky.
I know he shall come home tonight.
This gray day fades away.
The night dyes the sky navy,
Beauty meld with lights from windows.
Sitting in his room,
For he will soon free me from gloom.
I won’t cry as I see the lit city.
I love how even loneliness has beauty.
Night
Dark, Beautiful
Wishing, Shining, Reflecting
Moon, Stars, Clouds, Sun
Rising, Appearing, Forming
Bright, Peaceful
