Night and Day
This gray day fades away.
The evening sunset paints the clouds,
Beauty beheld through transparent shrouds.
Awaiting his return,
For he is whom for I yearn.
I won’t cry as I see the purple sky.
I know he shall come home tonight.
This gray day fades away.
The night dyes the sky navy,
Beauty meld with lights from windows.
Sitting in his room,
For he will soon free me from gloom.
I won’t cry as I see the lit city.
I love how even loneliness has beauty.
