Sunset Sigh

pretend it was me and not you
in love. Cupid put down his arrows,
they were aimless, anyhow -
he sees that now.         still,

there’s a beauty and a cutie
so Cupid decides to shoot
his mouth off. the couple turns,
a miss…what is this…what is this…

each off their rockers, rocking away
from dusk to dusk, wondering why
they can never find love. the moon
drifts, separate beaches sunset-sigh.

Cupid reminisces about the two
who got away…did he save the day…
two fish caught in love’s net
sent back to school, then all alone.

the woman says to no one particular, but
really to Cupid…pretend it was me

the man says the same…was love
really that lame…two arrows,

side by side in glass frames…
the ones that got away.

Premium MemberPut Up or Shut Up Time

       Put up or shut up time
      Has crept up upon thee,
   And it's your time to shine.
    On your mark, get set, go!
      Everything's on the line

      Put up or shut up  time;
       Mouth off no excuses,
      You must fully commit.
    Do you have what it takes?
     How bad do you want it?

       Put up or shut up time.
    Vroom, rev up your engine;
       Off to the races, friend.
Show em' what you're made of;
     See it through to the end.

       Put up or shut up time.
       You go big or go home.
 You're through talking the talk.
      It's the moment of truth,
   You must now walk the walk!

Beg To See Leg With Peg

when we would rehearse
shallow we had found our purse
things will become worse

we could comprehend
that rules will have to amend
prayers to God send

mouth started to sag
when he had been known to brag
ball would have to shag

always great to know
bad news when off big mouth blow
we had told them so

from will have to rid
attitude would be rancid
acted like a kid

when we crossed the track
we will not be coming back
had burned down our shack

when we saw his wart
lied and sold people short
could end up in court

when we saw him beg
we had looked at his each leg
one would wear a peg

once we knew a judge
after we did start to nudge
he would have to fudge

landed in hay loft
was allergic and had coughed
yet still would be soft

thought that he was cute
dumber than cake with much fruit
big mouth off would shoot

had heard latest tweet
his toes did stick out of sheet
which covered his feet

Deposed Dictators Club

deposed dictators’ club

they sit there in their comfort
each in his moneyed retreat
maybe each reflecting
on unexpected defeat
unprosecuted criminals
guarded wherever they go
protected maybe in silence
for not telling what they know

the remaining world leaders
mouth off about their end
no position quite as transient
as that of political friend
and they push and the jostle
for a share of the spoils
particularly when
it’s a country rich in oil

back in the liberated places
where the worm finally turned
the mess is sorted out
maybe lessons learned
and for a little while
new alliances are cemented
the diplomats return and
credentials are presented

good will rules for the present
until that time comes when
power breeds corruption
and it all starts off again
they sit there in their comfort
waiting for revolution to end
and the deposed dictators’ club
welcomes the newly deposed friend

Hammer Your Words

Hey, Baby.
Don’t suppress your hatred.
Open your thesaurus
and find all nasty words for me
Mouth off, trash-talk me,
and I promise to change them into a song
the future generations will use our song
in their love letters.
I’m a poet,
with the magic to change
the meanings of words.
Hammer your words,
and see how my touch makes them mild and tender.
I bleed but never cry.
Yet, I exist within your words — an unhealed wound.
My kisses are petals.
So, speak up, don't hide.
Look right into my eyes!
I’ll pack your viscous punch
in a bouquet of love
I, who can snatch life
from the claws of death.

Premium MemberLearning From Great Aunt Ruth

She opened her cantankerous mouth and out came the truth
There was nothing not honest about my clever Aunt Ruth
The whats-its and fruts-its were scared of her though.
Especially terrified that she was way off in the know.

She would not hesitate to give her opinions on zebras and milk.
Her ideas were her own, and they did not come out smooth as silk.
She was a big believer in herself, no matter what the whats-its said.
Fruts-its were terrified of her; she had somehow stunned one of them dead.

I said Great Aunt Ruth, why do you always say what you mean?
Why ever would you ask such a silly thing, my nephew, kidney bean?
I mean, what if you offend people, marching your mouth off that way?
It’s me I have to please she told me. I need to be happy at the end of day.

So I followed her around and watched the other relatives look pleased.
They loved it that she confused others. Some cried, bawled, hid, and sneezed.
You either love her or hate her, but she always lives her own fabulous truth!
You have to love someone as self-confident and loud as your lovely Aunt Ruth!

Need To Increase Police For More Peace

we need an increase
amount we have of police
who will promote peace

have two eyes and ears
will see while with others hear
mouth off can cause fear

had heard that his sperm
always produces Trump germ
what we said is firm

Trump around had spun
his term was over and done
were glad Biden won

when him we receive
in Biden we will believe
no longer do grieve

we will need a change
which appeared to be so strange
based on poor exchange

Ran Off Mouth Again and Again

Ran Off Mouth Again and Again

When we ran mouth off again and again,
While around in circles tongue had been;
Had been confused,
Not being amused;
Nothing settled down and in orbit did spin.

A Query With Fury

A Query With Fury

We were always a little leery,
Of people who query a theory;
For a while;
Facts compile;
Found to be done with great fury.

To cause they were seriously dedicated,
Until all of the parts had been decimated;
Became worn out,
Wondering about;
They did became completely debilitated.

We had fathers who were our founding
Scoring victory having been resounding;
After preserving,
Strength conserving;
Could run off curve if not carefully rounding.

Discovered difference between a professional
Compared to someone who is an intellectual;
Found disturbing;
Also unnerving;
When both run mouth off are ineffectual.

With many people we had consorted;
When things did become badly distorted;
Project concerned;
To complete yearned;
And mission we had must be aborted.

When he is near us in our proximity,
With hands on ends of each extremity;
Appeared agitated;
Even with unrelated;
While doing had been done vehemently.

What some people do is try to devour,
Through each and every minute and hour,
Bore us to death,
With bad breath;
Always perform by exerting their power.

You are ripe to eat

Mouth off passion, joy and love

Everything comes from the cradle of creation

Small seeds become delicious fruit

A little bite, the juices splashing

Its softness, imagine a kiss

I'm yours and you are mine

A fruit with rhythm

Infernal Urinal

Infernal Urinal

It started running in middle
of the night for a short time
for no particular reason.

There is something about my urinal
That is known to be infernal
Saw a colonel sitting on my pot
About problem mouth off shot
About kidneys which are internal.

Trump a Wrecking Bar

Trump A Wreaking Bar

Trump is a human wreaking bar
Does whatever he wants as a star
Wondering why we will stand aloof
While he shots mouth off the roof
As much as he wants goes that far.

Bunch of Bull In Book

Bunch of Bull in  Book

His big mouth off again he had shot
And as usual he then got caught
In cookie jar were he stuck his hand
Thought about sticking head in sand.

Had a case of cold feet in each boot
So he did decide not to steal the loot
And also found it very hard to bare
Steak was well done not medium rare.

In our country there are many oddities
Not only that you sure ought to see
Abnormal things he got away with again
Was bunch of bull in book written by Ben.

Carson that is.

Premium MemberPerceptions From Eyes of Fools

Perceptions – from eyes of fools

Perception is usually a matter of projection.
Perception usually dictates what become the rules.
Genius - lost in insanity – self, it calls.
Talent hangs on walls,
in the air of music halls,
upon the platform of a stage.
Artists play out images, in a rage.
Talent appears from thin air, left upon a page.
Artists leave their glory, carved in stone.
Talent resides within the spirit, all alone.
Artist, the man at the podium doth pronounce
yet, at the end of the day, gives less than an ounce.
Empty words, out of his mouth, off his tongue bounce
and the world goes around.

Fears

I made a journey through the thickets
In a forest deep down the red woods
The sun rays set on my shaved head
A sound of the rattle snake startled me
Which made me jump in fear
With every touch on my bare skin
Of leaves and grass under my feet.

I trebled in fear when the shrubs moved
With every shaking leaf of the woods
Darkness started to settle in quietly
Without even making a hissing sound
The lights in the clouds faded away
Like a candle fades out its light
With its last drop of the melting wax.

I walked for a while I heard a roar
Of a lion heading towards my direction
Gasping for the air I couldn't breath
In between my fears and bravely
I reached my breaking point
Screamed my mouth off my face
And heard the roar fading away.

For a moment I laughed and shed tears
Tears of joy that I was safe and sound
I screamed again just to make sure
That I was not screaming in a dream
But screaming in reality of my fears
And it is then that I knew that my fears
Are the blocks blocking my very life
From moving ahead against the storms
Which blocks my way to victory.
