Best Mouth Off Poems
Words are like weapons with bullets of lead
That pierce through your soul when angry and said.
When someone shoots his mouth off like a loose cannon,
You can’t help but get hurt as the mortar is landin’.
The thing about these wounds to the soul,
There’s no bleeding to stop from invisible holes.
Though, on the surface, there are no wounds to tend,
The damage is often deeper and harder to mend.
Masked by pride, courage or good old denial,
Make no mistake, this pain maims and defiles,
Reducing the toughest man’s heart to that of a child's.
So the next time you’re angry, don’t be absurd.
Lay down your weapons of hollow point words.
There is a better way to accomplish your goals
Without doing battle and wounding other's souls.

You are ripe to eat
Mouth off passion, joy and love
Everything comes from the cradle of creation
Small seeds become delicious fruit
A little bite, the juices splashing
Its softness, imagine a kiss
I'm yours and you are mine
A fruit with rhythm

SENIORS OLYMPICS
Images of fearsomely fit youth everywhere,
healthy people, all bronzed, featured
by the second, on screens and public spaces :
fit and flash, but always young, Olympians.
I protest, for we seniors are just as sporty;
we recycle daily, suffer running noses;
fallen archery’s no problem at all - well, it is -
as we routinely wrestle with living.
Best not to even mention water sports.
Weightlifting self out of armchair is hourly,
when diving for the loo, as is rowing back
from much too easily expressed criticism.
We ping pong daily with potions and pills.
Sailing close to the wind, shooting mouth off,
leads to embarrassed synchronized grinning.
Annoy us and you will get a right kayaking.
Much of our lives consists of sundry hurdles;
shops are like a cross-country marathon,
or a steeplechase broken into relays,
bench to leaned-on wall, to bench again.
And, we’ve all done pent- and heptathlon,
with the dec- coming in to (or out of) focus,
we need not discus these ageist Olympics,
I have hammered my point enough ....

So, take a gander at the Strawman
As he take's a stand
He is from every land and region
He is always' at your command
He never mouth off to anyone
And he always' does his job
In essence he is the law
Until a crow of two happens'
-To come along
To pluck away all of his straw
-
He stands' to expose
To execute a message
Thusly, he always' have a plan
That which we can understand
-
Hence fourth
-
He piers very tall above them all
He barely cracks' a smile
He wear a hat of straw
That is his style
-
He wears' a straw hat
That he probably got from the Mall
And no body know's
The full extent of it all
-
He piers above the yard
With such command
And speaks' in such aa language
That few can only but understand
-
Unless you are close to this man
You can barely see a strand
And off from the distance
He looks' just like a man
Though he is filled with straw
With bits of cotton
- Or -
What else ever may be
But, I mind you
This was to conceal his identity
Even though he has a pension
To be free
He is perfectly content
Just to scare the birds' away
Just maybe two, maybe three
Sometimes' he even scare people
The likes of you and me
- Or -
Those who should happen
-Suddenly upon him
Fore it is only he or them

Headline News Hypocrisy
"If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store,
at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd.
You push back on them. Tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!" Maxine Waters
Main Stream Media “She is such a dynamic leader.”
“I’d like to take Trump out behind the gym and kick his ****!” Joe Biden
Main Stream Media “You tell’em Joe.”
“We can’t be civil until we are back in charge again!” Hilary Clinton
Main Stream media “She should have been President.”
“When they go low, kick them!” Eric Holder
Main Stream Media “They deserve it.”
“Get up in the face of some congress people!” Corey Booker
Main Stream Media “You go Spartacus.”
“Make America great again!” Donald Trump.
Main Stream Media “Man, that guy is so hateful, always promoting violence”
Ok, I am sorry for this but it is infuriating me and the main stream media is the enemy of the people. Stop reading me if you like because of this
but it is every day and has been for the past two years. What really gets me is people act like they don’t see it or feel that it is okay.
Whether you like the guy or not, this is just too much. I have seen numerous poems on this site trashing the President of the United States.
Everyday there are more. I mean really? Yes, I agree he’s not the nicest guy in the world. He shoots his mouth off too much but he is doing something,
Which is more than I can say for any other President, Democrat or Republican. He works hard and that is what scares these other politicians.
They look at politics as a job where they don’t have to do anything except sit around all day arguing with each other. They are scared to death of work.
Tim Smith just posted a poem about Kindness…everyone should read it. Why can’t everyone just be kind to one another? Yeah, I know…stupid question.
The headline this morning on MSN read: "Pittsburgh mourns synagogue shooting victims as protestors await Trump." Did we really need the last part of that headline?
Can’t they let these people and the country mourn in peace? Why do they always have to stir up crap? Why didn’t they just write, Pittsburgh mourns synagogue shooting victims and we still hate Trump?

Perceptions – from eyes of fools
Perception is usually a matter of projection.
Perception usually dictates what become the rules.
Genius - lost in insanity – self, it calls.
Talent hangs on walls,
in the air of music halls,
upon the platform of a stage.
Artists play out images, in a rage.
Talent appears from thin air, left upon a page.
Artists leave their glory, carved in stone.
Talent resides within the spirit, all alone.
Artist, the man at the podium doth pronounce
yet, at the end of the day, gives less than an ounce.
Empty words, out of his mouth, off his tongue bounce
and the world goes around.

Infernal Urinal
It started running in middle
of the night for a short time
for no particular reason.
There is something about my urinal
That is known to be infernal
Saw a colonel sitting on my pot
About problem mouth off shot
About kidneys which are internal.

A Query With Fury
We were always a little leery,
Of people who query a theory;
For a while;
Facts compile;
Found to be done with great fury.
To cause they were seriously dedicated,
Until all of the parts had been decimated;
Became worn out,
Wondering about;
They did became completely debilitated.
We had fathers who were our founding
Scoring victory having been resounding;
After preserving,
Strength conserving;
Could run off curve if not carefully rounding.
Discovered difference between a professional
Compared to someone who is an intellectual;
Found disturbing;
Also unnerving;
When both run mouth off are ineffectual.
With many people we had consorted;
When things did become badly distorted;
Project concerned;
To complete yearned;
And mission we had must be aborted.
When he is near us in our proximity,
With hands on ends of each extremity;
Appeared agitated;
Even with unrelated;
While doing had been done vehemently.
What some people do is try to devour,
Through each and every minute and hour,
Bore us to death,
With bad breath;
Always perform by exerting their power.

Limerick
I made a journey through the thickets
In a forest deep down the red woods
The sun rays set on my shaved head
A sound of the rattle snake startled me
Which made me jump in fear
With every touch on my bare skin
Of leaves and grass under my feet.
I trebled in fear when the shrubs moved
With every shaking leaf of the woods
Darkness started to settle in quietly
Without even making a hissing sound
The lights in the clouds faded away
Like a candle fades out its light
With its last drop of the melting wax.
I walked for a while I heard a roar
Of a lion heading towards my direction
Gasping for the air I couldn't breath
In between my fears and bravely
I reached my breaking point
Screamed my mouth off my face
And heard the roar fading away.
For a moment I laughed and shed tears
Tears of joy that I was safe and sound
I screamed again just to make sure
That I was not screaming in a dream
But screaming in reality of my fears
And it is then that I knew that my fears
Are the blocks blocking my very life
From moving ahead against the storms
Which blocks my way to victory.

Dad said Willy Munn had jumped the gun
and he raised his fists to everyone
then he shot off his mouth...
so I went to his house
no perceivable damage was done!
But he saw my nose pressed to the pane
so I ran away back down the lane
but he came to our door
and he yelled and he roared
and my parents swore I could explain!
So I faced him while filled with pure dread
and I told him all my dad had said
and nobody looked pleased
not a soul was appeased...
Were they sad that no hole aired Will's head?
And as second thoughts came I declared
how I thought Willy Munn had been spared
'cause his face was a mess
even when at it's best
from the punches when tempers were flared.
When I looked at the three I just knew
that my days spent in listening were through
and I thought I should shoot
that small place where my boot
was now lodged there with yesterday's shoe.
I remembered a little to late
'bout the last time that dad set me straight
"an idiom's not real
the true idea's concealed
I don't always mean all that I state!"

Hey, Baby.
Don’t suppress your hatred.
Open your thesaurus
and find all nasty words for me
Mouth off, trash-talk me,
and I promise to change them into a song
the future generations will use our song
in their love letters.
I’m a poet,
with the magic to change
the meanings of words.
Hammer your words,
and see how my touch makes them mild and tender.
I bleed but never cry.
Yet, I exist within your words — an unhealed wound.
My kisses are petals.
So, speak up, don't hide.
Look right into my eyes!
I’ll pack your viscous punch
in a bouquet of love
I, who can snatch life
from the claws of death.

Trump A Wreaking Bar
Trump is a human wreaking bar
Does whatever he wants as a star
Wondering why we will stand aloof
While he shots mouth off the roof
As much as he wants goes that far.
