Mother's Day

Never a fear when your mother is near,
She'll give you the hope,
And there will never be a tear.
You'll never need to mope,
And that one terrifying fear.
You'll always have the hope,
Because your mother is near.

900 Miles

Bird around the bay of white and swoops aloft the air
Descends upon the deck and lays a top a chair
Dear bird me thinks I leave my land to forage and to bare
And now my suit has got your fruits on shoulder and on hair

Tis luck shouts out a cabin crew success to you will come
Mean time I'll sidle down the lane the laundry mat I run
Dear mother cries a second gone. I cried from train to ship
One day return a penny more two sons upon a trip

Fair city crown from westland row beyond the port a bay
To sail to Forests hard and cold Fort William leads the way
The work is hard my fathers tale dont work with rocks and dams
Hibernia is a boldly spot a rugged place he bans

The uncle's bar a whisk'y jar serve porter strong and mean
Two bars my uncle holds right now upon the goebels green
A war you'll go his comments show now to work for one small bob
Dear uncle be more kindly now for I have a new a job

No longer work at wasted rates his mother would be shocked
My brother dear you stay well clear a slave who holds a mop
I love you mother and long to see you smile and praise your lot
900 miles return to you show Eirean what you got.

My Mother

My mother -
    Soft padded feet
    stop at my door
Watching me sleep, watching me breath
Her love fills the room...
    comforting, soothing
        as I drift to dreams

My mother -
    Her hand in mine
    squeezing tight
First day of school, full of great fear
Her love fills the air...
    nudging, prodding
        as I leave her side

My mother -
    Soft padded feet
    stop at my door
Remains at a distance, making sure I'm safe
Her love fills the house...
    silent, worried
as in my rebellion I fly away

My mother -
    Smiling with pride
    eyes welling up
At my father's side, walking down the aisle
Her love fills the church...
    beaming, radiant
as I start a new life

My mother -
    So close to death
    ashen and pale
I watch her breath, I hug her tight
Her love fills my heart...
    comforting, soothing
       as I say goodbye

My mother -
    Soft padded feet
    stop at the Gate
Her arms opened wide, angels nearby
Her love fills the heavens...
    angelic, eternal
       as she waits for me...

Mother's

I grew up without a mother but once when I was bad mouthing my wife’s mother
she got mad and said something about my mother that really hurt me so bad I
dropped to the floor and wailed like a little baby. It was especially bad because she
had learned about it through my father who never told me before. Not that I didn’t
have it coming and all that but for me it says a whole lot about how important a
mother is to someone even if they were never blessed to know them. So even
though I can’t officially celebrate mother’s day by visiting, I pay my homage’s to
mothers all over the world.

One More For the Road 2 For Mothers Day

June 28, 2007

Something wonderful;
Something I just can't measure
or even measure up to
a mother like you
There have been times unpleasant;
I know there is a lesson
in the end of the day
So I patiently wait
and ask God to please give you a long life
Maybe some day you will see me achieve;
do something right
Of all the mistakes
the one I regret the most
Is not telling you how very much I appreciate
WHO YOU ARE
and who you are to me
Without you
it would be the greatest, most disheartening loss
I could experience;
as mother to mother
I know this
So I say this all now to you
because I don't know what else I could do
to tell you how very special you are;
deep you have impacted this heart;
at this moment,
from the very start

Hearts Warmth

my love for my mother is impossible to measure,
the mom i have i wouldn't trade for treasure,

my mom deserves the sun, moon and stars,
if i could i'd build her a better world than this on mars,

when we talk she gives me hope, faith and sight,
she raised me right, made sure i always had a bite and tucked me in at night,

this is why my heart's warmth towards my mother can never go cold,
you see my love for my mother is worth more than gold,

you cant price this,
its priceless,

my love for her is steeper than a mountain,
and deeper than a river,

endless like a fountain,
unbelievable to the mine and makes even me shiver,

she's my mom i'll shout it out loud,
everything she's done makes me proud,

that day i almost lost you,
i didn't care what it cost to,

make you feel better,
i still caught a plane to see you even in the hurracaine weather,

she always chose me over any guy that lived in a large mansion,
thats why i love her and im glad she my mom and im her big son.........

Childhood

She has seen things in her life
That no child should have seen
Like powder on the edge of a knife

As mother inhales happiness and exhales strife
The frail child watches those eyes begin to gleam
She has seen things in her life

One the mother was a wife
But once father left mother started to lean
Towards powder on the edge of a knife

Mothers prized possession is that knife
Carefully hidden under the bed an wrapped in jean
She has seen things in her life

Once her father took brothers life
And the recurring losing theme
Led her to powder on the edge of a knife

Now daughter also experiences stffe
Growing into a fragile teen
She has seen things in her life
Like powder on the edge of a knife

At Night She Passed Away

Bed ridden now she lays somber in my sight.
I say it is alright, mother everything is right,
Opening eyes in discomforting pain, this night,
Remembering her goals, her immortal fight,
I know deeply she was passionately contrite.
My mother will be missed, before daylight.
Her pain, agony dispelled, by Heavens might.

Happy Mother's Day

It is on this day that I must admire
Thinking back to the days when your “tough love” seemed to never tire
And the thought of a shoe still sends chills up and down my spine
Oh wonderful woman, this mother of mine

With footwear in hand and compelling suggestions to see your way
It is not difficult to understand the knowledge of life that I have today
But to only remember the fear of these two
One, the Good Lord Almighty and the other “the shoe”

Remembering well all of the stories I told
Then fearfully watching your wrath unfold
The punishment of “the shoe” was well deserved
And how your abundant love was well reserved

Remembering all of our “one-sided discussions”
Some resulting at the cost of a mild concussion
Dear mother, it is with confidence I can say
The love of my mother I would never change in any way

My mother dearest filled with love galore
It is the love you have for all I do adore
For it is the Fear of God and the Love of The Lord I remember most
And on this day it is my dearest mother I do boast

Premium Member The Dove

Asleep on her bed as if having a dream,
His mother passed on so peaceful and serene.
Her spirit she'd share with a white dove that took flight,
And then on her son's shoulder it was soon to alight.

The dove then flew to a tree where leaves drifted down
Settling right on top of her son's bereaved crown.
When he looked at the leaves, two were normally formed,
But the third one he found to be slightly deformed.

It was shaped like a heart for him to keep.
Choking back tears he tried not to weep.
For he knew then his mother had sent the sweet dove
To tell him good-bye and to send him her love.

Now watch this she would say my mother taught me this
And her mother taught her you might not get another chance
Everythings in the book I did change the pallbearers for you
Recently made it easier for you thanks mom that’s really kind
Of you was it 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 mom? Flour to eggs I gotta keep it
Simple in my head you know I gotta look at that book one day
Where did you say you kept it again?

Mary's Tribulation

Mary’s Tribulation

She wept from the depths of her bowels
For the child she brought into fruition.
Not knowing in her love,
She would witness the greatest of all sacrifices.
Tortured nerves washed with vinegar.
Nails driven through meridians to increase the pain.
PAIN, oh so great, oh so long,
That a Mother would die herself...
Beneath the cross

She wept and her heart broke in angst,
His purpose to teach mankind.
Her witness to His Love.
So great, the task, His life
His walk, so brief on earth.
Yet thousands of years, the story retold
Eternal salvation unfolds.
That a Mother would die herself...
Beneath the cross.
