At Night She Passed Away

Bed ridden now she lays somber in my sight. I say it is alright, mother everything is right, Opening eyes in discomforting pain, this night, Remembering her goals, her immortal fight, I know deeply she was passionately contrite. My mother will be missed, before daylight. Her pain, agony dispelled, by Heavens might.

Another day of reading the many diverse poems here at the Soup. I enjoyed reading yours today Cecil and the best to you in the contest. Have a wonderful weekend. I need to see if I can find some inspiration this weekend. Love, Carol

Dear Cecil, to me is has always seemed to be a blessing when the suffering comes to an end. Surely, you miss your mother as I miss mine and the many others I have loved who have passed through this world into the next. But remember, they are in eternal grace now. It helps me cope and I hope it will help you cope as well. If this is for Dr. Ram's contest, I wish you well! Love, Carolyn
