Autumnal Misty Mornings

With gentle hushed whispers
                  autumn paints umber hues
                     dabbing silvery mist

ochre autumnal shades
     

Winter Blues

There's a hint
of winter in the evening air
as the autumn days
dwindle down to a golden few
but I'm looking forward to
spring and all it will bring
when the whole wide world
is reborn anew
and then with summer
just around the corner
to see me through

Windy Nights and Mornings

Blackened tendrils take the trees,
Take the skin by follicle,
Empty matter, pushed debris,
Pressed and parabolical. 

Zephyrus claims, lack of choice,
Echoes through the aether,
Chaos calms his quiet voice,
To suffer with the weather. 

Windows shutter, clap in tune,
Aeolus purring bag and pipe,
Uilleann iron, aural rune,
Despite aptitude and gripe.

Nonetheless the Iris slims,
To folded air in lack of light,
Cluttered ever

Virgin Mornings

From darkness rose
the light of time
Reborn each day
from Eastern climes

In shadows wake
our future’s swim
Cross lakes of fire
toward Adam’s hymn

Repeat, repeat
new endings start
Redemption flames
with nature’s spark

As echoes answer
in voices new

Morning Plan

My morning starts with a cup of tea, a pen, paper, and a plan.

I am the very model of a girl who’s late for morning meal,
my charger failed, the printer jammed, the morning’s start has been surreal
I lost a scrunchy and a shoe, I had to use some dry shampoo
my Keurig had no k-cups too, so I’m feeling like a total shrew!

Misty Mornings

Misty mornings
 as gray as matter of invisible time 
A porch light is lit but there is no one home 
Fogged up windows and street lamp tenors   
a white wash sky achieves light    
as a shutter opens the mind is restored,    
it is no longer night. 

Rainy Mornings

I read but my mind is already occupied,
And so in the subway I ride,
I don’t check the time,
Afraid because it’s not mine.

I leave the subway,
It’s drizzling,
The pavement in return starts glistening.

I think I can make it,
I can’t,
It pours,
I wish I was indoors.

I seek safety underneath a tree full of holes,
There I linger,
Hoping the owners won’t
