In mellow mornings
I rise to ripe ocassions
Nature's ritual abides
I connect to life's beings
All points soul bulletin
each day echoes the
last one, a cosmic cycle
of gray, cold mornings,
and trying to find purpose
in every single moment.
While sleeping or dreaming
they have a tendency to forget everything;
Is it because they like evenings
and hate mornings?
Walk then,
touch the silent acres
dew pond wet
and shining grass unbroken,
a day still new
wrapped in promise newly woken
Misty mornings drew us in
Where footprints deftly shod within
The steps of heart we took to find
The beating of eternal kind
Time to wake to mornings light
Night has gone it's taken flight
Time to rise its getting bright
Now to sample today's delights
Form:
Awakened too soon,
Darkness of the peaceful dawn,
Frissons of cold air,
Coziness of the tea mug,
Cooing of doves fills the air.
Too early for Good Mornings.
It takes a while to rev up.
I'm smiling on the inside.

The Monarch
Haiku by Tom
1/29/2021
The butterfly sat
drinking from the mornings dew,
soon having it's fill.
A tiny fairy
A dragonfly...weary
On a sunflower they flew
The dragonfly sings
The fairy wings
And a beautiful mornings'...anew
Even when exhausted
And doubtful of your image
I still think you are...
From the early mornings to
Late night goodbyes, always are...
Thanksgiving turkey
Under candle light
Remorseful yet the
Key to thanksgiving is in the name
Early in the mornings
Turkeys had to die
For the 'good mornings'
You fail to give,
For the 'goodnight' that stare,
But you do not see,
The 'goodbye' would hurt
Without cease.
Splendid charm of morn
Abound in flora and fauna
Time to decompress

They were silent when they reached the sea
with the birth of a new day…
some mornings ensure the quietude
when they take your breath away.
The sunniest mornings,
the most contemplative afternoons,
the most starry nights,
conveys my soul,
guides me through life...!
a warm cup of coffee
the best ointment to waking up grumpy
~ we've all got our vices

Finding Joy
I find joy
in simple
things of life
new mornings
writing poems
singing songs
I don’t need
fancy toys
nor much wealth
I love mornings when the moon
realizing the evening is not quite done
lingers a little longer in the sky
before ceding the heavens to the sun.
Wettened by the mornings dew
Closely spaced where rows of roses grew
Footprints stained the cobblestone
Where my love and I had walked, alone
The sky letting her son to play on the Earth grounds,
Only in the mornings,Sun rises,
Calling back the tired son home,
In the evenings,Sun sets!
Quietly gently talk upon the wind
Birds cries too far away begin
At sunrise mornings meaningful wake
Leaves dewdrops glistening for heaven’s sake
Trees dancing to strong wind's jam
As birds chirp and hum
And your heart beats gently beside mine
Your breath against my chest whispers so calm

It was one of those
mornings when rain poured sideways...
horizontal blinds.
It was a happy
morning when flowers awoke...
springtime explosion.

trapping catacomb of thoughts
sealing mornings views
inferring the roar
coming down steel bar tracks….
