The Monster Inside

the monster inside
wants me to hide
it wants to come out
that’s without a doubt

it rears its ugly head
filling me with dread
it tempts me to spiral
the monster’s gone viral

it’s going to get me in trouble 
I can no longer stay in my bubble 
I need to tame the beast
like an exorcism and a priest

my mommys love was a loves room I knocked until my Knuckles bruised.

Our home was once full of Laughter
Is now a house full of anger
Feels like were always in danger
Everyday he makes us all suffer 

It was his job to be a provider
Instead thinks himself as a master
Treating us like were his follower
It makes us sadder

He slams our door so louder
It makes us all shudder
We just all

Tears of the Dragon

I believed that darkness was all consuming
wouldn't dare look up and dream

Entranced by depths of a sea beckoning
bewitched ~ transfixed

I didn't believe the sun would rise
and shine for me ~ rather ...

I believed in the tears of the dragon
a monster hovering over me

I believed in the tears of a captive heart
beached wounded and lame
with flightless

Man Is Monster

I tighten your tie, tighten in your lies, shine your shoes so I can see the real you and hold your eyes to mine in the big blue sky.
So I can see inside the hollowness that is you.

Monster

There is a monster in my bed and I let him in. I supplied the pillow to rest. His quiet wickedness I don't address.  As he fondles my body while I lay still undressed.   I don’t reciprocate his love or affection and he won’t allow me to stop it or reject it.

A seed grown in shadow

When the seed of fear is planted in minds,
It germinates in brains as a tormentor—
Sometimes sown by a whisper,
a shadow,
a lie repeated twice.

When illusion becomes reality,
And starts by making the heart
     skip a beat,
then more of its beats,
then all of its beat.

The Monster Who Comforts Me

I look upon these silhouettes; of night trees
Dark delineation is the monster who comforts me
As my haunting sorrows swayed in the breeze
I warned them of being wracked with disease 
On a calm night when they're still
Words of rage make me think I have skill
Shaking hands chop against their will
And when my mind has had its

vampire monster dog

monster dog had not meant to be bitten
but the vampire cat sneaked up like a cozy kitten
With one little munch, dog turned into a vampire too
His eyes got wooly and red and his skin turned aquamarine blue.

Now he is the biter, looking for others to infect.
Yesterday he got a worm, a rat, and an insect.

Gavin Godzilla

A beast named Gavin Godzilla 
Liked a girl named Priscilla. 
The issue was that he was a klutz 
And it drove everyone nuts. 
He was an embarrassed, sorry gorilla. 

He broke everything that he touched 
And accidentally smutched. 
He tripped on his feet 
And tried to retreat 
Because he felt ashamed and blushed.

Vampire

I look in the mirror and nothing is there.
I cry but there’s no trace of tears.
I scream and the night wind answers my call.
I am just what everyone fears.
I fly through the shadows under the moon.
In darkness I’ve hunted and fed.
I bleed through the alleys, my hunger as guide
And I follow wherever I’m led.

The Monster Under The Bed

I no longer check under the bed for monsters, 
I don't run when I turn out the light, 
Or hide under my blanket when I hear a noise, 
I don't run up the stairs, scared to look behind, 
I no longer cry for my mom to check the closet. 
Not because I don't believe,

Werewolf, a Rebirth

The clouds were moving swiftly
across the darkened sky
The howling wind raced through the trees
the leaves were flying by

His heart was beating like a drum
that pounded in his chest
Trying to release the demon
long ago at rest

His body started to convulse
it shook without control
In one more minute he would lose
the last part of his soul

Transformed into a

Daylight. Thank God. The monster comes at night.
For now, I shake the strings loose,
And try with my whole might.

Reflections of the night before—
My eyes are swollen shut,
Bruises, scars, maybe broken bones.
Don’t show you’ve had enough.

The mirror reflects the bruises;
I stare a bit too long.  
The monster's wrath shows on my face.
