Premium MemberSuper Confident Carolyn Lee

Carolyn Lee, a quirky artist, befriended me
She did everything with a bucket of glee
Best of all, her friendship was free
I learned a lot from Carolyn Lee.

She played art well, with a tee hee hee
Always laughing and beautifully
Other people’s criticism she did not hear or see
She was super confident, Carolyn Lee.

Why don’t you come paint with me?
She asked me with her usual kind of glee.
I wanted to, and the paint was free.
But I was intimidated by Carolyn Lee.

Premium MemberAt the end will be all of me

Made of romance, you'll feel it when you read my soliloquy
Never lost even when my timing is not lauded in tranquility
I wish at times I lacked this self-made case of anonymity
A wish, a want, a will to make the best of each opportunity
You dance around in my head, owning deed to this facility
If I can't be near you, I'd rather be in hell repeatedly thinking of only you; for all of eternity
That's all you get to go on, dream a dream of our life story, waiting at the end will be all of me.

Premium MemberTORTOISE AND HARE: FROM RACE TO FRIENDSHIP

“A Tortoise and Hare decide to race. The hare is so confident in the lead that he naps while the tortoise keeps going to win.” Aesop’s Fable

Learning from their practical contest

Hare and tortoise built friendship, really best

Helping each other with kindness’ zest

Complementing one another to the fullest

Hare in running fast, finding nest of sweet rest

With tortoise sharing provisions for food fest

Thankful to God* for their partnership that's blest.

*1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Premium MemberA Tad Neurotic

My friends tell me I'm a 'tad neurotic'
though they really mean 'totally psychotic'

So around them, I show off my 'full schizoid'
~ picking my zits while reading Freud

Premium MemberUncompromised Understanding

What falls from my eyes is dry; as crystals of a saltine
Frozen waters, be damned; I find calm in what they mean
Sweetness of their memory; form a perfections praline
Warmth of space, you're a true descendant of constantine
Thawing by infernos of thoughts; they returned to saline
With untarnished glare, I find to be a perfect sheen
Through earned tears; uncompromised understanding, can be seen

Premium Membereternal pyre

You've meant so deeply much; within my desire
If I could present a world or build an empire
It would be so easy to secretly conspire
In a way that you would not find hard to admire
Happiness for me; sought just nurturing your purist fire
You see my genuine intentions; carrying us higher
We are beyond me; so far past what I wantingly require
Viewing you satisfied; fuels me to wondrously aspire
A devotion of which I will sleeplessly never overtire
My differing notion; I'm just resolved; to her eternal pyre

Premium MemberBuilding Friendship

I love building Lego with Timothy,
here's bricks for you and some for me.
We will play together so happily,
here's bricks for you and some for me.

We once tried to create a little mouse
on the dining table round at my house,
but it looked more like a grey woodlouse
on the dining table round at my house.

Lego always triggers our creativity,
we have such fun as you can see.
Tim let's try to build a bumble bee,
we have such fun as you can see.

Pa works in the Lego store warehouse,
he brings us new kits, we never grouse.
Ma says, "There's too much Lego in our house"
he brings us new kits, we never grouse.

Premium MemberQuest For Companionship

____________________________________________________________

If you quest for a mate, I'll be yours if you abide
Friends and mates, a loop that will never glide.
In close propinquity to one another, we will reside.
With our motley efforts, we can swivel the tide.
Fused by the bonds of oneness, harmoniously we stride.
On this journey, zeal and passion will be our guide
An enthusiastic flame, that blazes deep and wide.

Premium MemberAutumnal Resolutions

                             9/28/2023

Did you keep your all your last year’s grand resolutions?

Or put on a priestly robe, and give yourself absolution?

NYE, the biggest hoax night, as if we will ever reach perfection?

Why not cherish everyday,as an awesome, achievable selection?

A message,on this beautiful day of autumnal and colorful introspection.

Best live each day fully, our lives works of art, in humble gratification!

Premium MemberGod Writes Straight With Crooked Lines

They say that "God writes straight with crooked lines"
we seek control, but perhaps that confines
God's Will, Plan, compassionate designs
it's up to Him, the One who defines
what's good and true, thus His Mercy shines
along shared paths where friendship entwines
the heart-grown courage God's Hope aligns

Premium MemberA Century To the Soup Combined

Eddie currents confused the conduits in this mind
How can the transformers in the brain go not blind
Confusing is the light, direct me as it's straight shined
Hundreds of emotions imprisoned and confined
Thoughts going back to teenage years deeply pined
Worrying about the love effects totally enshrined
Consider this cancer, your thoughts are far too kind
This melon has been carved deep, right to the rind
Missing all that I've lost, forever rightly defined
Penned for the world to read like riding bare on equine
A century, now I've given the soup all I have mined
Mentored by Sotto, DT, Mo, Anaya, and P. Hind
Mused by Constance, Brandy, Sunshine, Anna, I've refined
Influenced by Gershon, Paula, and Dilly, like whine
Holding fast to FJ, Charles, Eve & Deb my heart relined
My love for you all wide openly is to remind

Premium MemberFluffy Fat Robin

Fluffy fat robin full of worms, tummy round
You are creeping across the snow, with nary a sound.
Probably wishing you could dig and go underground.
At least your hat is warm with stripes that go around.

Fluffy fat robin, you are friendship duty bound
Please tell me who created your hat and scarf, was it the hound?
It is too marvelous to be something you merely found.
If you tell me, I swear I will not tell anyone else around.

Tell It Like It Is

I usually shy away from volunteering unsought advice.
With fear I'll be meddling, cautions me to think twice.
For speaking without being asked, I'd pay the price
of losing a friendship, if I need to be more precise.

I always tell it like it is when my opinion is sought,
but only after giving the issue some serious thought.
Even if my heartfelt suggestions count for naught,
I promise to extend the best counsel I can impart.

All too often, it can be difficult to tell it like it is.
To breakdown the factions of an essential analysis,
by taking into consideration that it's akin to a quiz.
With a wrong answer I'll hear, "It's none of your biz!"

My goal is to help you by bringing darkness to light,
but it won't deter me from being honest and forthright.
Discord between friends should be a personal plight
so, I won't criticize either side with words of spite.

If you fear the advice I offer might lead to indigestion,
don't solicit me for an opinion to a delicate question.
A better solution would be to have a sit-down session
and talk through problems, each making a concession.

Premium MemberFriendship Delight

Today, we greet each other with delight
Cheering everyone to do what is right
Around friendship bond marked by caring might
Midst hearty laughter of blest hope that’s bright
Triumphing over woes and painful blight
As we ascend toward glad sharing height
In reaching-out along love's prayer flight
Thanking God* of light Who reigns day and night.

Premium MemberMy Friend Maureen

Can you imagine a bond with one I have hardly seen?
But if I can call someone my bosom buddy, it is Maureen.
We contact over the phone daily as a routine.
In keeping our friendship intact, both of us are keen.
We first met accidentally at the office canteen.
Soon she went away to another place and was never seen.
She was then so very young, hardly nineteen.
Her appearance and manners were quite clean.
She was petite and lean with a pleasant mien,
Endowed with a heart with qualities umpteen.
She seldom says or does anything harsh or mean.
Sane in her decisions with a disposition serene,
In my heart’s innermost shrine, she stays ever green
Also brightens my life with dazzling sheen
She reigns in my heart as an unrivalled queen.
In my sorrow and in every need, on her, I can lean!
