Notes About The Poem

Autumnal Resolutions

                             9/28/2023

Did you keep your all your last year’s grand resolutions?

Or put on a priestly robe, and give yourself absolution?

NYE, the biggest hoax night, as if we will ever reach perfection?

Why not cherish everyday,as an awesome, achievable selection?

A message,on this beautiful day of autumnal and colorful introspection.

Best live each day fully, our lives works of art, in humble gratification!

Hello Pangie "Why not cherish everday, as an awesome, achievable selection?" Words well written in retrospection; Gods no; at times though; we can write near divine perfection. Where we really thrive, is the paths we cross, the pendulums we dodge, with pits at every intersection I enjoy reading from people whom cause me to think. Thank you for waking my mind this morning! Regards A.S.

Wow, Anonymous, a knock down comment! That makes me observe life, too……..you sound like Shakespeare.. the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune! As if life were a dance with mystic fairies? …it is far from that.nor is life a joke machine. . I appreciate your honesty, and please come back again. I like thinkers ..I hate being used to up a any Poets comment count. One can do that by one and two word comments. They say nothing …they are vacuous. I’d like thinkers who say something. Please come back and I have so many poems written you could look at! I don’t write like an airhead. Pangie.

We are in a magical sailboat Eve, together in friendship and serenity. It’s all I can do to keep my word to myself in 24 hours. Most people cannot keeps these resolutions in the next 360 days. One year, I made a resolution to move to CA, I did not get here till four years later. It’s odd but people don’t want you to win in the world. Such nay sayers I had to listen to.OMG. I am not referring to poets here. Though we are human , let’s be real. Writers are not gods. One told me he knew more than God and more than Einstein.))) Pangie xx

How I wish I could capture your sense of poetic emotion. Alas I write mostly stories. I began writing stories and never stopped. I need to write about emotions like yours. Blessings.

How interesting! And I wish I could write like you.)) I think you should realize how excellent you are at what you do! I am a feeling person,,,so that’s how I write primarily. I am not good at humor or stories, too impatient. But you are accurate, emotions make my pen move. I appreciate comments, like yours, that say something.Hugs, Pangie xx

Good afternoon.. You know …I so your appreciate comments and anyone’s time! I-know writers here work on their poems. Read, or unread, a poem is someone’s vision , they gave birth to. God sees a poet using his/her gift. And that counts more than anything. Happy Autumn, Pangie xx
