Matching clothing was never my idea
I need comfort, cozy and color.
I am wearing my favorite pants, zigzag black and white.
My multicolored shoes have nine other colors.
Green sweatshirt has a giant white shamrock on the front.
It’s not St Patrick’s Day
I never said it was
Matching clothing was never my idea

When the reflections don't match the day
When the right questions aren't known
Its time to put yourself away
and be solvent
Turning your head to all you deny
When you find yourself in shambles
needed no where
thats when you have to give yourself away
You find yourself in shambles
Tis the way to put your faith in somebody
Turn the handle
away from the rose thickets
Look out for tomorrow and
live today

It's not the pain
of the prick
it's the pain
finding out the truth
bringing Justice
for the victim

Police detectives were working on a cold case file.
Debbie had been missing for thirty-two years.
They described the charm bracelet she had been wearing.
Nanette, a girl one state away got out her charm bracelet.
Her father had given it to her on one of his business trips.
Scotty dog – check, cheerleader megaphone- check,
Christian fish symbol – check, Indian feather – check,
This was just a coincidence right?
But what about those jewelry gifts he brought back for her mother?
Many of them had matched jewelry from other missing women.
Nanette carefully wrapped the charm bracelet.
She looked up Debbie’s mother’s address and mailed it.
Her father was still alive.
It was the best she could do.

One summer I bought husband and I shirts that matched.
Not one or two, but rather ten or twelve, all thickly thatched.
We rode around in them puffed up, as if just hatched.
Looking like Tweedle Dee and Dumb, distorted, and insanely batched.

I learned, real young, when getting dressed –
Make sure your clothes are matching.
To such advice, back then, not many
People were detaching.
Some colors clashed with others;
Plaids and prints would never click.
Though styles have changed, those matching rules
Are ones that seemed to stick.
Not everybody follows them –
You know those certain types
Who strut around with polka dots
Worn right along with stripes.
I’ve got to give them credit,
For if fashion rules are broken,
It means an inner voice (though strong
And clueless) must have spoken.

The packet, had a lovely dress inside; had a unique name.
‘Faith matching Center’, it had the name on it, in big letters.
Red, and green threads did weave a dress there, elegantly
The name is quite spectacular, it really is, I tried to ponder.
Will I see you ever again? Somewhere, someday ?
Seeing you should be expected anyhow, for the reason of life.
Should I see you for any other reason, other than this one?
For a reason, quite personal, for a personal need one has inside?
You , decided and determined with grudges, your time is limited
Holding your daily moments as secondary, for a reason, obvious
You lost your respect inside, nothing matters now , any more.
I kept on watching you, a prisoner there, with own thoughts of mind.
And I folded a piece of kafan , blissfully hidden under the logo of
‘Faith matching Center’, giving up all desires inside to see you again.
One cannot meet another so easily , in this utter miserable , shrewd world.

If I never
asked for much
then Much
would never ask
the same of me.
But it is late
and I am tired.
Perhaps tomorrow
I can match
the Much
I ask so much of
and in turn
the Much
will ask
much less of me.

Some one once told me the most valuable thing is a education because it,
Something that no one could every take from you,
My dad was from New Jersey and my mom is from North Carolina they hook,
Up in the 80’s when land was cheap picking vegetables and fruit and dealing with,
Hen Eggs in the field for minimum wage maybe why that is the reason I am a simply,
Man.
I reallie did not hang out much with the youth and the city that I’m from is starting to,
To become a retirement city for senior citizen just like the other two city by the way,
May be that is why I am full of stories,
I was told to start at the bottom learn as much as one position from the door man to preach,
To preach to school yard to teach down to the student with no teeth.
When came to written I was told to write a sort way and what I was learn it is was two,
Backlash against me,
That minority was under represent when came to writing and also explain by five,
Mid level companies that did not have to write back that explain my work was good they,
Didn’t know how buyers would respond to my work,
And that’s when I knew,
To continue to write.

(Veterans Day 2009)
Side by side, they stood at attention,
facing the American flag,
former Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines.
Not one muscle twitched, nor eye blinked
as the 3rd Grader stepped to the microphone.
"Because of you, I am free," she said.
In a clear voice, she continued to express
her appreciation and gratitude,
for their service to their country,
their sacrifice for freedom.
Though his legs trembled like Jell-O
beneath the knife-edge crease of his uniform,
Grandpa's pride filled his throat
as the little blond resumed her seat.
She had recited the entire speech
from memory, and later received
a note from her school principal--
Awesome job today!--
which now decorates the front
of his refrigerator.

Along with matching bands of gold
and the blessings of their Lord,
Two hearts begin a journey,
their hearts, were destined to unfold.
And the blessings of their Lord,
will see them through hard times.
Their hearts were destined to unfold,
entwining as flowers on the vine.
Will see them through hard times,
the respect they afford each other.
Entwining as flowers on the vine,
teamwork will keep them together.
The respect they afford each other,
as the honeymoon grows cold,
teamwork will keep them together.
Their faith will see them through.
As the honeymoon grows cold,
two hearts begin a journey.
Their faith will see them through,
along with matching bands of gold.
