Premium Member Matching Pride
(Veterans Day 2009)

Side by side, they stood at attention,
facing the American flag,
former Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines.
Not one muscle twitched, nor eye blinked
as the 3rd Grader stepped to the microphone.

"Because of you, I am free," she said.
In a clear voice, she continued to express
her...

Premium Member Matching Bands of Gold
Along with matching bands of gold
and the blessings of their Lord,
Two hearts begin a journey,
their hearts, were destined to unfold.

And the blessings of their Lord,
will see them through hard times.
Their hearts were destined to unfold,
entwining as flowers on the vine.

Will see them through hard times,
the...

Premium Member Matching the Much
If I never
asked for much
then Much
would never ask
the same of me.
But it is late
and I am tired.
Perhaps tomorrow
I can match
the Much
I ask so much of
and in turn
the Much
will ask
much less of me....

Matching His Music
The beat of my heart
Matching the music

Fast as can be

Like horses stampeding
Down a race track

But louder
I'm surprised he can't
Hear it

Because I feel like it's
louder then a cannon

And with him there
Right in front of me

His body pressed up to mine
As we dance in the moonlight

Under...

Matching
I learned, real young, when getting dressed –
Make sure your clothes are matching.
To such advice, back then, not many
People were detaching.

Some colors clashed with others;
Plaids and prints would never click.
Though styles have changed, those matching rules
Are ones that seemed to stick.

Not everybody follows them...

Faith Matching Center
The packet, had a lovely dress inside; had a unique name.
‘Faith matching Center’, it had the name on it, in big letters.
Red, and green threads did weave a dress there, elegantly
The name is quite spectacular, it really is, I tried to ponder.

Will I see you...

matching reflections
When the reflections don't match the day
When the right questions aren't known
Its time to put yourself away
and be solvent
Turning your head to all you deny
When you find yourself in shambles
needed no where
thats when you have to give yourself away
You find yourself in shambles
Tis the way...

Premium Member The Summer We Wore Matching Shirts
One summer I bought husband and I shirts that matched.
Not one or two, but rather ten or twelve, all thickly thatched.
We rode around in them puffed up, as if just hatched.
Looking like Tweedle Dee and Dumb, distorted, and insanely batched....

Premium Member what about those matching jewelry gifts
Police detectives were working on a cold case file.
Debbie had been missing for thirty-two years.
They described the charm bracelet she had been wearing.
Nanette, a girl one state away got out her charm bracelet.

Her father had given it to her on one of his business trips.

Premium Member Disregard for Matching Clothes
Matching clothing was never my idea
I need comfort, cozy and color.
I am wearing my favorite pants, zigzag black and white.
My multicolored shoes have nine other colors.
Green sweatshirt has a giant white shamrock on the front.
It’s not St Patrick’s Day
I never said it was
Matching clothing was...
