Cinnamon and clover lingers on my breath,
a reminder of power that lies dormant.
Building …
                  hesitating…

The only tree left in the  whole world
was opening its leaves to welcome
the day to the survivors 
Among extinct animals
the Tasmanian tiger, beside the Hubro
They had been friends since 1936
There was no artificial light; the stars
had paled as night became day
Humanity was missing; it had not made
The transition to a planet at peace
dropped heavy

Musical Magic

Orchestra began today
and magic happened as we play
I could see fingers and arms fly
as the music went speeding by
Hearts were touched and spirits lifted
as people used talents they were gifted

Demon of Witches Tower

An ominous water tower
Stands tall in Starin Park
Barricaded by a spiked fence
Iron clads the stained-glass windows
A steel door bolted shut
What secrets lie within its walls?

On the night of a blood moon
Witches shrouded in crimson robes
Conducted a satanic ritual
To call forth a demon from hell.
The ceremony was a success, but at a cost.

a beast that wakes

in the rain that drenches

I’m a silent mystic, in the still of night,
Awakening my heart, feeling the light,
With a whisper in the shadows, I start to see,
Connecting with the universe, it's setting me free.

The Magic Of A Willow

I have one special memory
Lying with you on the lake shore
Watching the sun twinkle
As it flickered between the tree’s leaves
A gentle breeze makes the weeping willow magical
Dancing movements choreographed long ago
Never copied by anything else
To me, they are signs of unending love
Given to me and my future wife
To cherish as long as we both shall

Dancing o'er the Keys

      Dancing o’er the keys 
        with the greatest of ease
      the poet’s fleet fingers
        their own gentle breeze

     Words appear from nowhere
    

I need no other reason

Lighting candles pleases my soul
there's divine magic in each flickering flame
~ they dance with unfettered joy

This world just keeps becoming 
more & more ridiculous 
Been way past the point
of being sick of this
Every path taken 
turns into a complete disaster
Only way to get through it all
Is a borderline insane/nervous laughter
Always chasing the knowledge 
to know what comes after

believing this time will
be the switch up
