The wind bloweth.......
Bloweth the chaff......
From the grains
The chaff is deserted like the desert
Like the fox in the Maghreb dunes
Deserted like the fig tree in Autumn
That is shedding leaves for winter

They deserted one by one
As they paid their respects
To the departed lying in state
One by one they left as they came
He was left all alone deserted
Death has left its streak of sting
He is a casualty. He is deserted

Reflections of the Past, Visions of the Future

You have paid the ultimate price,
And I, made the greatest sacrifice.
When the time came
You answered the call
And gave your all.

My son, what remains of you
Lies in this casket in dress blues.
I hope the cause was just and true,
So, I, will not your death rue.

I know that you were brave
And other’s lives did save.
I know most will forget your name
But I can’t find it in my heart to blame
For they may be standing here like me
Knowing what it takes to be free.

As I look at you lying in state
I wonder what the future holds
For more families that will be
Forced to look into the coffins
Of their children.

I ask myself, will humans
Ever learn to control
Their war like impulses
Or will we continue on
Until there is no one
To stare into a coffin.

Shoes

The specially made fine footwear
That decreed burdens of feet bear:
The long walks that leave feet blistered
And owner's once calm look, flustered;
The endless climbs of hills gravel
And paths one is sure aren't level...

Man's shoes are nicely leathery
But don't claim they aren't rubbery,
The former often expensive;
After purchase one's mood pensive...

Shoes there are we rate above robe:
Rock Musicians' for who wish to probe.
We can guess who's poor from one's shoes;
I might mistake make after booze.

We all know it: occur in pairs,
If not in pairs wearer for stares!
For all their worth not worn in bed
Save by Lying - In - State Dead.

Love

Everybody talks about love

People glorify love with attributes
They say love is this , love is that
We all hide the truth!!

Love is always like the body lying in state
Nobody wants to further soil the clay

Love is selfish
And that selfish love is what we all crave
We want others hurt to feel loved by that fave

We say love is beautiful

And nobody wants to admit love is wicked
But that wicked love is what we so desire
We sometimes kill if that's what our hearts require

We say love is Trustworthy

But love is deceitful
And that deceitful love is what we hold on to with alacrity
We all spew and consume lies for emotions' security

Love is flawed
Love is rogue

But Hey,
Love shouldn't be perfect , it just needs guidance
Love's priority must focus on humanity
Commitment of Love to humanity takes care of its (love) excesses

love is us!!!

between the plant pots and the trays
the cobwebs had seen better days
and for all the wood and damp and soil
the smell was one of paint and oil
as flies and wasps lying in state
were curled up past their fly-by-date
and nails and screws and metal hooks
shared space on shelves with brewery books
beneath a clock with broken hands
where time stood still amongst the cans
and jam jars full of pip-like seeds
stood next to things that no one needs
and while her tears had stained the glass
that looked out on the unkempt grass
upon the floor amid the mess
..a letter
and her wedding dress.

From the Frustration To Fame

Malnourished themes.

Stillborn characters.

His books have been
lying in state
in a bookstore.

There are
mud dauber nests
like the tombstones
on the covers.

The bookworms creep
undisturbed.

A new creation originates
from his frustration.

His protagonist molests
a thousand year-old-goddess
in a nook
of his new novel.

Her shriek
wakes the devotees up.

Religious turbulence.

Even an illiterate buys
a copy.

Lying-In-State

And the world stood still
When the liar took centre-stage
Cameras flashing
Tapes rolling
Recorders battling to take down his voice…

They all know
That lies unending endlessly flow
From his bottomless tank
Rolling off his tongue
As a bard chants royal praises…

They all took it in
Clapping for their hero
Waving his hands in the air
Smiling sheepishly
In the knowledge that the truth
Shall never surface…

But he knows not
That the truth is right behind
His back
Like a hump
Sitting beautifully on a hunchback
It is right with him…

Albeit the truth is despised
The many crowd hailing the sweet liar
Bail him not
Never will they
When the bell tolls
When the alarm rings
And the truth tackles the man
On whose lips falsehood thrives…

The crowd then shall sing
And dance in glee
As the white-robed liar
Becomes the brown-ragged beggar
In the hands of truthful revolution…

Await the day
For it is currently lying-in-state
Readying its fangs
Like a tormented king cobra
Waiting to strike
At the time so beautifully right…

A Nation Without Memory

a nation without memory
a citizen without memory
a leader without memory
a believer without memory
a fanatic without memory
passes mother’s grave unaware
misfortune will follow everywhere
along the highway of life
only the rattles of mother’s bones
lying in state without peace
can hold his legs of mishaps to halt

A nation without memory
licks the feet of misfotunes

Gone before time can enter space,
Place where no light can shine or greet;
Madness avails a defunct mode,
Sense poise surreal where smog now chokes;
Dizzy dazzling turn of malaise,
So much not said yet cutting sharp;
Death does not come to cowards here,
Only the stiff corpse lying in state;
This sad hollow where no rhymes come,
Cryptic moods fill dense atmosphere;
The babbling shouts of crazy crooks,
Moans fill the air with strange repute;
Repeat once more that morbid haste,
Waste upon shores hurl hurts most *****.

Fanning the Flames

A life well lived
A loving and caring being
His smile made our hearts leap
Such a fragrance only he could bring.

A lot was said as he was lying in state.
So much love served but could no longer be eaten
Backlog of people swarmed in because of him
So great a crowd, his dwarf house had no space.

Indeed his life was love made cryptic.
At least from the little I knew of him
But never knew it splashed off the beaten track
Nor beheld so much admiration while still ticking he was.

Exquisite words fell on ears dumb,
The very ears they are meant to chin up.
I wondered why they had to twiddle their thumbs
Till he was about to bite the dust.

If only he knew how much love he created
It would have pushed down his throttle plate
And he would have fired on the more
Till all was given and none left to draw.

If only he heard these words during his time
He would have left with a better smile.
And it would have eased the strenuous life
Which is everyone’s plight.

I know I cannot follow this road.
Everyone that makes my heart flutter must know
At least this debt is the little I should pay
For the love that comes freely everyday

Glass House

GLASS HOUSE

It was me
Yes ,did it deliciously
Mind blown
Petals chopped
Goodness stamped
Fantasies striped
Freshly plucked dreams
Buried alive .

Years flew along water
With oncoming seasons
Virility of cool showers
Narrowing to drizzles
In faded memories .
Nun bird nested in heart
Transfigures to a shadow
In white thread monsoon rain .

Rain prevails
Nothing but rain
Lashing rain ,her hair unleashed .

I sat at the doorstep waiting patiently
Dreams sprouting to life ,

Swallowing mouthful of air
Shadow of my soul
Bow to gnawing flame
In this coconut shell

Lying in state .

New Year

Year 2011 dead, its body lying in state
With all its achievements, faults, flaws
Failures, ailments and deprivation's floodgate
Stock market collapsing, euro in Dollar’s claws
Italy, Greece and Portugal in financial mess
China and India vying for superiority
Osama shot dead, how else Obama could impress
His nation clamoring for changed priority

Hosne Mubark dethroned, Gaddafi slain
Syria witnessing blood bath, Middle East in gloom
In Pakistan corrupt leaders reign
Afghanistan proving Nato soldiers doom

New sun of 2012 has buried the past year
Faces of hope are shinning with glow
Flowers of anticipation blowing far an near
The sky dressed with colorful rainbow

The year will see Israel’s expansionism harnessed
From Iraq and Afghanistan US and Nato forces retreat
Palestinians wounds nursed and dressed
Kashmiris right of self determination with success meet

Nations will see the bride of prosperity usher
Peace and tranquility to prevail and rule
People not with war and killings suffer
Children not to see the bombings of school

New Year brings the promises new
New shine in eyes and new flame in hearts
Roses blushing with the kiss of dew
Hearts pricked with Cupid’s darts

Walk the Green Wreathed Marble Back!

Sintered tiles of green wreathed marbles
bejewelled in steps that elevate to where you are entombed
incense wafts white and slate, demure and shy
my growing guilt is deflowered by your-her friend's- sly smirk
she scoffs along-was she forgotten, faded and gone when you left her cow carcass dead
she winced and sighed names that were you- breathing in your sights and smells
that had faded bad and blue, she had meant it with every cigar cad
she was whisky and powder for long till we had her
and they screwed and pinned her to her cross
her passion was her death as it guffawed along
your memory comes late..she is lying in state!

I pay ,bray, stay, hay, lay and walk the green wreathed marble back!
