lying in state
in a bookstore.
There are
mud dauber nests
like the tombstones
on the covers.

undisturbed.
A new creation originates
from his frustration.
His protagonist molests
a thousand year-old-goddess
in a nook
of his new novel.

wakes the devotees up.
Religious turbulence.
Even an illiterate buys
a copy.
