Nostalgia

I stand before it,
Something that was my present in past,
And is yesterday today,
Something that has become a memory at last.

A shade of yellow settled in my eyes,
Which would now reminisce everything in sight,
Bidding my last goodbyes,
Everything slowly flushed by a sepia light.

Those tarnished blue coloured walls,
That have been hit by our class’ cricket balls,
Those trees of green,
Which luminate the autumn sheen.

This role playing ground,
Changing its character as occasions are found,
Once a ground to our sports fest,
Another to when our parade isn’t at rest.

Those now-never-to-be-seen teachers,
Whose faces I miss,
These dusky classes,
Which now strike a lighting bliss.

Memories hidden in those benches and blackboards,
Each one has a story it hoards.
The forgotten tales of when I thought ‘their’ and ‘there’ were same,
Would be recalled if the wood had a mouth and a name.

Past is the moon,
Memories, the water,
Nostalgia, the tide,
Nothing to be felt but a warm collide.

Premium MemberIt Started With a Blank Canvas

A blank canvas beckons for a blend of colours...

Azure azaleas attract its attention
Festive fuchsias add flavour to the frame
Majestic marigolds mesmerise the muse
Baby pink roses radiate regal regards
Crimson carnations create chords of casual charm
White lilies whisper wisdom to the wasps
Lustrous lilacs luminate with their lambence
Bold buttercups breathe ballads to the bees

Peace picturised...the painting is perfect

Commanding The Flood

Water takes on form
determined by the container
Its main characteristic
forever to move downward

An army’s defenses
should act like water
Filling in the empty spaces
of the attacker’s weakness

Where mind and spirit meet
darkness turns to daylight
Once you luminate the battlefield
you can counter at any time

When your will pierces
the enemy’s fear and turns it against them
You swallow their spirit
digesting it whole

Advancing as one
withdrawing as one
Victory of great consequence
knows no other way

Winning flows in torrents
through the heart of the commander
Whose soldiers fight through strength of hand
—in currents to define

Road Well-Kept

Concrete lanes going north ribbon themselves past barns and fields and small towns. A talk show interview plays on the radio, saying everyone has a story to tell. This morning a ghost of a passing moon hangs to the west, holding onto dreams. As I drive, I feel I’m in some kind of dance with friends of the past and friends of now. All I have to do is to pull to the side, close my eyes and watch the planets and stars dance beyond the blue. This land bears its history of prairies and forests cleared, of natives gone. Just before the turn off, ponds shimmer under the sun, giving a moment’s peace. Just beyond, some other people to greet, memories to envision another day.

Interludes of Solitude

In dreams I'm offered interludes of solitude
where worries are calmed in total quietude
I'm swimming in the depths of a placid night
so don't wake me from my whimsical flight
I'm in still waters, where lotus flowers grow
It's soothing to be among their saffron glow

I'm being gently lulled by the motion of waves
Serenity is the healer that my psyche craves
I find soft glimmers of repose and satisfaction
away from the world's dark fretful distraction
In these moments my heart has sweet release
while I drift along in some semblance of peace

In dreams time stands completely still, so I laze
contentedly floating while my eyes stargaze
Flickering fireflies generously luminate my way
Within these solitary intervals, I wish to stay
I've been told that I'm frivolous to waste time
but dreaming is an indulgence I find sublime

Premium MemberLong Leisurely Lunch

Lazy, long, leisurely lunch,
    Lolling, laughing, lingering,
     O'er lamb-stew, linguini 'n lager.

In Louisville, Los Angeles, Las Vegas,
    London, Lisbon, or Lyon;
At Los Olivos, Las Palmas, La Paloma,
La Scala, La Baguette, or La Castilla:

Let lunch lie palatially on your palate,
Let lunch slowly settle in your limbs,
     Let lunch last always:
      Let it lustrate and luminate
Life lived long and lived well.

You Are So Beautiful

World is so beautiful,
But view through dazzling eyes;
Supple heart softens,
Kneels before the virtues,
Non can deny,
The beauty thou hast;
It isn't about eyes,
Neither cheek, nor is thy lips;
All that drags,
Is thy beautiful heart;
Compassion, love for all,
All like me yearn to cohere,
Seek amour of thine;
Voice of thy so sweet,
Ears mellow as honey in hive;
The company with thou,
Coses me in dark side of life;
Thy tipsy beauty glares from inside,
Luminate so the world fills with joy;

Silhouette of a Man

Silhouette of a Man

Here I am sitting silhouetted in the calm earliest of morn
Watching, hearing all the birds chirp at the breaking of dawn
They're all perched up in a well trodden old-bent fence

Their shadows luminate like an unknown foreshadowing of glow
In this early dusk tis turning as daylight thus all shall do breaks
The darkness does fade for the world continues to all awakes

Leaving us all now are all the moonlight density of shadows
As silence leaves us now, for another day starts so we all have grown
At times there comes a time when all diminishing intense of a

Silhouette of a man is sitting by himself beneath the dusk waiting
Till a damsel of all bird like creatures all chirp till all hours of dawn
For they're are all perched up in a well trodden old bent up fence.

Our Liveliness

Is there ever a day I don't think of you?
Many thoughts and desires cloud my mind.
Your essence with mine manifests itself into a breath of fresh air.
We luminate a radiant glow towards the falling star we created so long ago.
I repeat last night over and over...
I recall our sweet kisses with candles lit so bright.
The only thing we'll ever know is our arms wrapped around eachother,
knowing our...
-liveliness will last forever.

my breath, just for you
holding eachother so tight
radiance aglow

Your hands so strong swaying gently through my long brown hair.
We reminisce about the good ol' days in high school.
Opening my locker and you peeking over to catch a glance.
You...hoping I look back at you...
me...praying it will continue...
The only thing we'll ever know why we stayed together,
is knowing our...
-liveliness will last forever.

beauty in our past
so young, beliefs in true love
alive in our hearts

You and I

I'm his creation so are you? I'm loved by him so are you? I smell roses and get
giggling inside and my body embraces his reaction. I travel miles before you and he
kept me safe all along. If I was a star I would say a prayer to luminate the world. My
feet stand on earth, heaven and hell. You pick and choose your path. Where do you
belong? Have you embrace eternity as a joke or has the joke become eternity. I will
always be me and I know you will always be you. Until you meet him again
embruger.

Grow

See the sun going down
golden glory sighing lone
time for his existence to be known
for when he leaves the others cry:

O light that shines, don't show then hide
for we are hungry to survive
your golden fingers; Midas touch
leave not solid, but warm and lush
how could our aloe leaves than sooth
If you just come to surely move

Yet the sun keeps slowing thrown
and peers to those who blow their moan
just smiles with eyes of lion sight
and blast his rays with all his might;
his last goodbye before he goes
and whispers to those what they should know:

In the night there's much to fear
of odd creatures and noises *****
but the moon will glow her stories
and luminate her lullabies
so bud your heads and clover in sleep

For in the night you grow
and have the day to sweep

Steep Slope With a Short Rope

Brought up with kin as animals
Instinct enhanced with repitition
over and over again
Beaten into the heads of boys.

Tongue's disfigured to my ears
thoughts saying something, saying nothing
Dirt under fingernails
Umbillical cord taken and eaten by Guides.

Omnipotent elder with heads of antlers
gives birth to lions and mules alike
with handfuls of wants and mouthfuls of aspiration
They Luminate His world.

Guides full of afterbirth stay always
Until the next life comes, and takes what is his
only to repeat,.
Yet guides change along with bodies, adapt.
