Premium MemberIn the Shadow of Sunlight

In the shadow of sunlight where dreams dance daintily
Forgotten memories flicker and fade into frozen fragments
Slivers of soft light illumine the dappled canopy of leaves
The luminescence of son et lumiere is lavish in its lustre
The phosphorescence of photons creates a phantasmagoria
Scenes of silver silence resurrect sonorous solace
The forest glade flits and flirts with frolicking fading light
Burnished beams of bright sunrays ballet in between birches
In the shade, shafts of sunshine shatter, scatter into sparkling specks
Hazel Helios hovers high up in the heavenly hemisphere
The gigantic globule gleams golden as it gives its greetings to gloaming
Surrounded by surreal saffron setting in the shadow of sunlight

Peu De Lumiere

Peu de Lumière

The world got much dimmer today
Burning to illuminate the way
This little light of mine...

Doesn't matter how dark it may get
A spark I will never forget
This little light of mine...

Tied to the weight I must carry
Weary and wanton and wary
This little light of mine...

Donning another work glove
You could call it a labor of love
This little light of mine...

It's not healing which I will not do
Just that which I won't do for you
This little light of mine...

A star shooting by that you feel
A wish isn't enough to be real
This little light of mine...

Lesson learned time and again
Light and dark, kept apart
segregate love and friends
This little life of mine...

Premium MemberBlacken the Charcoal

Draw the embers into the wood
Stroke it like it's a three-legged stool
Blacken the charcoal of a dying fire
Fasten it to a sun swelling brighter
The object is to lick the smoking flame
Soberly thoughtful to call out His name

Should a flash shine brilliantly
With a radiant outburst of joy hotly
All about warming the frigid darkness
The ocean in which stars are as jellyfish
Will appear to the seers as Lumiere
Clearly my dear it's an Austral Hell

Toss another log into the house of Hades
Balance it on your heaven party gate
Strum the drum to conjure up the worship
The song that worms the hawthorn brush
Into its strip tease yank along

Moon moss to heavy metal music loudly
Pound the ditty along to His shouting
The anthem of a wench's wrenching
The diddly of concerted celestial voicings
Heard charring with a fire from within
The product of an incandescent spell

See that which is bright always rises twice
Conditions darken before they go black
Then Hell behaves with new eyes
And the story is told in pantomime
About a joy and how it lingered a lifetime

*** Lumiere De Ma Vie***

Is being with you atop a foggy, starry hill, my one and only!

Comprehending that you are that soft light in my life, undeniably
and so wonderfully holy.

Stars ...

Heaven's candles

Flickering for the fortunate

Those with the eyes to see, and hearts to kindle

Long have you stood, silent sentinel

Distant, trembling witnesses

To all of man's foibles and fruitions

Wonder of wonders ...

What eyes will sparkle with your mysteries -

What souls will you tug with yearning

When no earthly hearts remain to thrum

And Sol has turned red ...

And cold?

The Meteor - Sofa People

THE METEOR - SOFA PEOPLE

Sofa pyromaniacs are skilled to put it mildly.
Fueled fiercely by gasoline (as is fitting)
Or by kerosene burning wildly,
They enjoy a fire to warm their sofa-sitting.

In anger are the flames incepted on the two-seater?
Or by simple accident of cigar or match?
Maybe the cat stumbled over the gas-heater
And then sat nearby to warm and watch?

But however the inferno got started bright,
What caused its plunge to earth
Like a shooting star or meteorite?
Did people push it, for malice or mirth?

To manhandle a burning sofa is a skill -
Out of a window eight floors up. If that’s their aim
They’d have to get it balanced on the windowsill
Before igniting the flame.

Oh the joy in their eyes :
Just push - and see the sofa incandescent
Recede and diminish in size
On its plunging earthward descent.

Then the son-et-lumiere display
From the crunch and splitting sound -
And oh the splendor bright as day
As the glowing hulk meets the ground.

And passing viewers catch their breath
From this Viking-funeral excitement;
And from their close brush with a fiery death -
Crushed by a hot chaise-longue into the pavement.
