Stars ... Heaven's candles Flickering for the fortunate Those with the eyes to see, and hearts to kindle Long have you stood, silent sentinel Distant, trembling witnesses To all of man's foibles and fruitions Wonder of wonders ... What eyes will sparkle with your mysteries - What souls will you tug with yearning When no earthly hearts remain to thrum And Sol has turned red ...
