Premium Member To Relish The Present Moment

By the pond, gloomy thoughts fail me
As I watch swans' shadows drift by--
Elegant their sway along water ‘s trail
Unlike the tight gait of my body,
My spine drooping low as duskfall ebbs:

Out of wonder, my bleak eyes marvel
At a bird-dance rivering into night ,
Where flutters of plume bounce sublime
Like velvet outlines robed in pearled wings.

Through their spin, I ache for abandon
Where I seek this pleasure of Now
To jiggle on, to feed on what's present :

There, then... swans suddenly whirl around me
Pure and possessed as moon’s climb...
Enthralled, my arms run with the breeze
Tiptoeing wildly past the crystal bend
My soul echoing, ' dance me in starlight,'
And relishing such bliss... without restraint!

In the Name of Jesus

In your life's journey you must be willing to submit
Be humble forget your pride and embrace the Holy Spirit
God can't move in your life If you can't set you pride aside
Let him protect you from all those things in life from which you want to hide

In the name of Jesus relinquish to God control
obtain His grace and mercy, increase your faith and become bold
Come unto Christ and to Him you must beseech
In the name of Jesus let the spirit in you be reached

Let The Lord guide you and lead you by His way
Heal your mind and body, make you whole this day
In the name of Jesus let His blood give you the power
to face the adversary at any given hour

In the name of Jesus, The Lord Jesus Christ
as He did for you, for Him make the sacrifice
Stand up and shout, sing songs of praise
In the name of Jesus let your voice be forever raised

Know that The Lord God will always be there for you
In the name of Jesus He will give you the victory too
Just continue toward your destiny and do as God attests
for in His Son, Jesus' name, It is you He has blessed

The pros and cons of living at the bottom of the world

When Christmas comes around,
And I am still above ground,
With the prospect of seeing in another year,
Wearing the presents I got this year,
I ask myself given the differing time zones,
Would I like to change zones,
As I could put off til another tomorrow,
What I must do on an earlier tomorrow,
If down under.
But as I bask in the sun, down under,
Eating an ice-cream,
Not hearing the wind scream,
I am quite happy to put winter blues at the back of my mind,
And being in the earlier time zone down under, I never will mind,
As I seize the day,
On an earlier day.

The only thing I am not sure about,
If the devil is about,
And it is time for me to say goodbye,
Which time zone does he set his clock by.

The Past Is a Thought Away

The past is a thought.

The coastal fishing town in Peru was charming
its upland was bare and light brown, with roads
looking like scars caused by a triple Bye-Pass.
The sky was enormous, the biggest ever seen
but was unmotivated, not a cloud around.
Teresa is a short, lovely woman in well-filled jeans.
Ah, jeans, one wishes for the skirt’s reappearance.
We hired a car and drove up the bare hills.
The driest of landscapes weighted down by dust
Tiny villages, four houses and a cantina, not a place
for the young, Lima was their dream.
At the top of a hill, we stopped, and afar the Pacific
glittering green living up to its name.
We were in love, the transient kind disappearing
in the morning light; told each other lies and enjoyed
the sweetness of dreams.
We drove back before darkness, the road narrow.
Teresa worked at night, with many trawlers docking.
A stolen moment by two people whose youth had
passed us by, but we remember how sweet it was.

Advice concerning the suitability of a mate turned on its head

The grandmother speaks to her granddaughter:
When I was a girl the best advice from a loving parent concerning,
A suitable mate for their daughter,
Was 'find someone your own age',
Don't fall for someone twenty years your senior,
Now, well, if he is in good health, young at heart with a good sense of humor,
I say don't write him off,
When there are so many young ones who will never reach fifty.
And then there are the other ones who are just plain full of it,
With their only interest in life being, themselves.,
And the attitude that the world owes them a living because they are entitled.

If you love him bring him to your granny,
I have plenty of wood that needs chopping,
And fences to mend,
There is a dance on Saturday too,
And if he can make your Granny laugh,
He just might be good enough for you.

DON'T MISS THE POSSIBILITIES IN LIFE

too many of us are focused
on the seemingly impossible
too afraid to even challenges
life's obstacles
fear of failure apprehensive over
what could be attained
no faith in ourselves as to
what can be obtained
God did not give us the spirit of fear
nor trepidation
He gave his love, power and a sound mind
to deal with life's situations
so get up and get going
you have much to achieve
trust in the determination within you
and just believe
so don't miss the possibilities in life
by focusing on the impossible
move with confidence
and assertiveness that's totally unstoppable

Yesterday is an empty vessel
That has sailed; forever lost at sea.
While tomorrow is on it's way
                  Why not live today now?

Make the best of it. It's a day of renewal.
The sun is shining through marshmallow clouds!
A chorus of birds are singing in the trees!
Flowers of spring are colorfully blooming!

The world is beautifully dressed in green.
When you open up the window of tomorrow,
Today, you'll see the garden of possibilities.
You'll see it blooming before your eyes.K

When you wake up at dawn, shut the door
             To yesterday. You'll feel inspired
To take chances over being smothered
By fear of failure, or the unknown

             Today, give hostages to fortune,
      Regardless of consequences. Start looking
For a blueprint to build the loftiest
Of dreams, and the ladder to climb it.

It's Time to be a Priest

It's time to be a priest,
a mediatory agent of God
appointed and anointed
to help the people to impart

in America, we're in chaos
with ICE running amok
killing people and using children as bait
to arrest immigrant adults
so what are we as individuals
going to do?
are we ready to put our feet on the ground
and intercede too?

it's time to be a priest
to take up the cause
to operate as delegates
and bring about a pause
to stop the craziness
that has taken a hold
to stand up for our fellow man
to be priestly and bold

are we ready to camp out
to stand in the gap?
as we carry the presence of God
like the Ark of the Covenant on our backs?
we need to work with God
as co-laborers in the trenches
to get down in the dirt
and if we have to climb over obstacles and fences

we need to be courageous
with an inner resolution
to face our fears and overcome them
by possessing a strong constitution
to find the courage to do more than just pray
but to act as well
because if we do nothing, we will all die anyway
and probably go to hell
we need to be obedient
to God's command
to pay attention to that
which of us He demands
to follow His directives
to move forward according to His plans
to cleave to His righteousness
and hold to His mighty hand
we also need to operate in purpose
to move with a godly intent
to understand our objective and duties as priests
to the fullest extent

It's time to be a priest
to be mediators appointed by the Lord God
courageous, obedient and purposeful
standing in the gap
when it comes to matters of the heart

Its time to be a priest

Intoxication Or Inspiration?

And may you be not drunk with wine
But filled with the spirit as God divined

As humans we've all have had a little drink or two
That's not a bad thing as long as you don't overdo
In Ephesians 5:18 from what I understand
It's a word of advice from God, a positive Command
For the word of God leaves little room for debate
Take Him at His word It Is of the faith
But don't try to take the actual words that are written
And change them to suit yourself that's a bad decision
For God is very firm in what He does say
He says what He means and from His word He does not stray

Intoxication or Inspiration, what do you desire?
Be not drunk with wine just do as God requires
The Lord God wants you to be filled with the Holy Spirit
So praise and worship Him and don't stop until you get it

Whenever one is under the influence of drink
You're at a weak point and the devil will start to think
He will try and sway you away from God's Holy word
Make you doubt and question all that you have heard
For drink will incapacitate you and make you act like a fool
Enabling the devil to use you as a tool

Be not drunk with wine but be inspired by The Lord
Be filled with The Holy Spirit on the gospel train get aboard
With The Holy Spirit you still have free choice
But while you're drunk on wine you can't even find your voice

Intoxication or Inspiration, what is the main point?
You can be damned with the devil or with God be anoint
God wants you to walk like His Son Jesus of Christ
To be filled with The Holy Spirit everyday of your life
Intoxication may cause you to fight with your friends
Inspiration will give you eternal life in the end
Intoxication may cause you to spend all of your money
Inspiration will lead you to the land of milk and honey
As far as I'm concerned the choice is not that hard
All you have to do is get high on God

Those Who Put the Third Question Seize the Day

Most never seem to find the time to seize the day,
Because they seldom if ever, ask the third Question,
And frequently fail to seize the day.
Whereas those who ask the third question,
Seldom fail to answer it in a positive way.

However, those who spend all of the day,
Without touching on the third Question,
Lose any chance of seizing the day,
With question three out of the question,
Leaving them in a bad way.

The first question most ask of the day,
Is how did we get to this point question?
Some will be moved to ask why of the day?
If they don't ask again the first Question,
In a more agitated way.

Only a few will get to the third question by the end of the day,
Either by going straight to that question,
Or saving question one and two for another day,
Preferring to seize the day,
By answering question three in logical way.

So, if you want to seize the day,
Remember there is a third question,
Which should be answered by the end of the day,
What are we going to do now is always the big question?
Few get to ask before they lose their way.
