Driven Into the Wilderness
in the Book of Mark the words are short and concise
it tells quickly of all that Jesus experienced in life
he makes mention of a place that he calls the wilderness
a place where Satan is always a sly temptress
into the wilderness David fled from the wrath of King Saul
into the wilderness the nation of Israel had a 40 year haul
into the wilderness Moses escaped from the persecuting of Egypt
into the wilderness Elijah ran away from that Jezebel spirit
from the wilderness God will deliver you into the Promised Land
for it's in the wilderness where you'll see the power of His righteous hands
God will do a new thing in a complete and new way
He will send angels to protect you from day to day
yet there are many things in life that you need to fast and pray about
for the enemy will try anything to make you distrust and doubt
the wilderness experience be it spiritual or physically real
it's where you'll discover that God is the real deal
out in the world's wilderness and you seem to be stressing
you're in dire straits and need an immediate blessing
but it's in the wilderness where you should start to pray
that God will show you there is a better way
as you walk through the valley of death know that God will hold your hand
and shield you from the evilness that awaits in the burning sands
be it the emotional or mental wilderness of your life
it's those times you need help with the struggle and strife
if you understand the wilderness is just a test site
a place and the opportunity for you to get it right
if you comprehend that the Spirit is testing your conviction
for God wants to know what is your deposition
the wilderness is a place for spiritual preparation
a trial to see if you're ready for your final destination
it's the tip of the iceberg for what God has in mind
it's the opening act in the play called God's Kind
in the wilderness Satan will try to tempt, sway and seduce
in the wilderness you must resist, decide and then deduce
so let God use you and give you the daily bread
for out of the wilderness the path will always be spirit-led
and when you're driven into the wilderness just remember this
that it's just a stop gap if you trust in God's promises
driven into the wilderness it's time to comprehend
that God is the only one who can help you in the end
develop a relationship with Jesus Christ
believe and stand on His word for the rest of your life
for into the wilderness you'll always be driven
if you don't accept all the Lord God is giving
