source of admissions binding
so sad am I
economics plea monetary displacement
depressed am I
Boston liquidation spreeing
Whoop and collar untied shoe laces containment
so sad am I
Who are we to run a race
When we have flake false faces
feeling of despair, obvious cause pensive, tension
so sad am I
Melancholy

Chronicles of Our Nations Surmountable Palava

CHRONICLES OF OUR NATIONS SURMOUNTABLE PALAVA

Our currency mirrors my area
and the state of our beloved Nigeria;
Worthless. Hopeless but a resurgent oneness.
The government parastatals are clueless,
But it's still our nation, more or less.

Despite holding so much promises
and natural resources,

our government offices
are managed by corrupt forces
already carrying generational curses.

Currency summation doesn't give grand equation,
rags of time sneers our 'notes into liquidation.
Just as the 100 naira equals 2 gala,
our currency is dwarfed by the dollar,

We don tire fo all the kuru kere & kasala
wey, for this country, don cause plenty wahala.
But here we stand in hope like a faithful lover,
singing the Chronicles of our nation's surmountable palava.

Just a Little Cynical

Cyclical and cynical
 history I find is critical
and is often on rewind biblical
in both the past and present times elliptical.

The markets take a bath in a rehash
 heartbeat faster with the splash
on toilet paper flushed down the trash
 hey congress, where's my cash?

Come on Covid take on the fight
 we are unafraid despite
 your potential liquidation obliteration
and science will resolve your DNA combination.

We are on a roll that will leave you in the dust
a little unsure of which we to go but we adjust
as the government bureaucracy goes bust
and it's no longer in God we place our trust.

a change of weather —
      a storm is brewing

Lightning
   ~ loud ~
Lights out

          liquidation of a dream
grave thoughts

  looking for home
look to the pearly gates

           death of a storm
death of darkness
      end of silence

euphoria

           flourishing with rosy cheeks
from death to life
     happiness ever after

Hallelujah

Premium MemberLiquidation of a Dream

The Wizard: Oh, you liquidated her, eh? Very Resourceful.
(Quote from 1939 The Wizard of Oz)

LIQUIDATION OF A DREAM

Oz dreamt Dorothy —
waters never melted witch
monkeys buzz like flies

the trio ne’er met —
no brain, heart nor courage found
tears of rusted tin

ruby nor silver
slippers colorize the land
— monochrome wizard

monotone munchkins
slaves to the emerald sky
— Glinda’s been vanquished

Feels Like Freedom

Rejoice
in the Sweet Salvation
From Hell's damnation.
You no longer conform to
Those who don't want you
To be you.
You've now freed yourself
From the makers of Mainstream
Society.
Rejoice in the sweet
Freedom.
Revel in the liquidation
of their control.
Now how does it feel
To be relinquished?
Like swimming through
The scene without
Fear to be real.
Glow in the dark,
Glow brighter in the light.
You've broken through,
You're now the 8th wonder
Of the World.
You are the great Sight.
You are you, no longer alike
with anyone else.
Welcome.
Welcome to yourself.
How does it feel?
Well it feels like freedom
To be real.

Toxic State

Immobilized by trepidation
like a prisoner on the rack
An imagined consternation
From another anxiety attack
Constant state of dissipation
From perceived things I lack
A complete liquidation
Making a weary insomniac
Like a slow and steady ablation
Like a stoic, reserved maniac

Anatomy of the Oranges

you’re not adams apple

the fruits from tree of the knowledge
of good and evil
in the middle of the garden of eden
in genesis

yet at you
the round oranges of this afternoon-town
i stare

and my pate gradually
becomes pregnant

the wind that comes after
having a touch of your lips
puts the waging of its tail on my forehead

and my guava-leaf begins to melt

thus my hardware-business is going
into liquidation

the physician to the king is telling
it’s the symptom of an awful fever attended with
the morbidity of the three humours of the body

used and used and used

your smile has not yet become
stupid

so from where the lamp-posts of the
town start

there are the cutlets and the bolster
they are not the only to utter the last words

i’m too
in this summer
trying to decorate
the gate of my cage like wedding ceremony

if any soundless dew-drop comes
to prepare and feed me
my birth-day frumenty

but i’ve no tongue
at all

all over the face there are only the eyes

and to the fate of my staring-at
has ever so much blessings been available

The Death of the Party

The liquidation has begun
    in earnest, at interest,
as we slide into command and control;
    no politician left to extol
how grand a land we live in

with so much voice to limit and
    assets to compound,
fences and compounds to build,
    for that coercive guild
structure proves a binding notion.

True statesmen speak within the
    parameters of truth
to project belief in all of our aid
no matter how far we’ve strayed
from the liberty our fathers shed lives

to protect from the tyrant and the
    thief without belief in the
power welling within you and me
    compelling us to breathe free
with gratitude for each brave gust

until the beacon shines inside
to illuminate us all with honor
instead of chasing robber-baron lies
    from these bankers who despise
every liberated mind earning a future.
