where are all the moths at night
dark are the fire-

flies they abdomens
lights up liken an ad signs

Life's a deck of cards, fate’s unsteady hand,
And I hold the joker, at life's command.
For every joy, a shadow falls,
A dance of highs, and sudden stalls.

One moment I'm laughing, a heart full of glee,
Next, I'm crying, despair captures me.
Happiness fleeting, sadness its twin,
A battle within, where to begin?

Life’s Jackdaws
I wish it were now! Yes now!? ?Seven tens and two years further along,
like that dead headed summer garden, you know the song, you a long time gone,
In your eyes I saw all the answers, to all those questions which I never knew then,

These days have forgotten, lost the beauty in a flame
from a fire no longer ablaze, not lighting life’s game.
Ashes to dust hanging in the air, all that doth remain
of what once was, nothing left will ever be the same

There are times that one might ponder the meaning of existence.
On this journey of trial, error, joy, and pain, one prime element is persistence.
