I looked into
eyes,
darkened
to bruises
and
being thrown
as you
go blind
to concussion.

Being thrown
and strangled
by no
a stranger
but
he never knew
why
so
mischievous
your pockets.

Slapped
across
the face
for
marking
with
the wrong pen...

I made friends
with this devil
and stubborn-ed
his abuse
into the full
of witness abuse
As a child,
I never knew,
but I did
and grew...
once no obtuse.....

I used a charm
of reverse
psychology
of his anger
in the skies,
I mellowed
like ice cream
of cones......

1. the importance of the Golden Rule.

Premium MemberLessons from Trees

The winds that make the seedlings sway,
ensure that they upright will stay.
As fibers flex and tissues stress,
resilience grows as wind gusts press.

If trees are grown where no wind blows,
their trunks will not sturdily grow.
Instead of standing strong and tall,
they will soon bend over and fall.

Troubles and cares are like the wind,
they afflict us

Premium MemberLessons From Heaven

I stopped glowing
from the age of heaven
and hell taught,
I wasn't ready,
and it scared me.
I was focused
after school
on 50 cent pieces
for the lollies
Mother reached in
her orange purse
for those silver coins
I didn't
know
of the devil
and even God,
Us kids,
never went to church
but had lessons
in a backroom,
I loved Easter,
decorating
those eggs.
It was delightful
and magical.
Live shouldn't
be fear-ful,
there's enough
of gritty
violence
as it is....

LESSONS OF LOST

In a blink of an eye
I lost everything
But all hope is still on the most high
They pour spit on me
Just because
I never own what they need
But with faith
Looking up to fate, I keep living.

Some people only got you
When you give or have
What they want or need
Many don't know
The meaning of

Every wonder where they come from?
I’m just glad that I still get some.
Sometimes they’re pleasant and seem good,
sometimes vague and misunderstood.

At times they’re funny or bizarre,
like riding on a shooting star.
Often it seems they’re teaching me,
past life lessons I didn’t see.

Sometimes one seems like dejavu,
in another time I was you.
Then there was one, I wasn’t

I don’t wish to remain
Standing when the dancing ceases —
Just like I must exit a train
When it goes to pieces.

Lessons of Life to Learn

There are lessons of life to learn,
Coin has two sides - face down and up;
It moves quickly after the toss,
Finally, it does slowly stop.

One wisely works. Another sleeps,
Doing nothing each single day;
The lazy man is just headed
Toward hunger in every way.

Sweet summer comes. Wild winter goes,
As the tiny ants store up food;
Farmers

Dear Eos,

I
wish I still felt passion in my heart toward
the generous soul that you are.

You always saw beauty in the world
and painted strokes of life
with a brush of sweetness and delight.

I
am sorry for the suffering life's put you through.
The heart is a fickle thing. It simply was not meant to be.

We've walked

Premium MemberLearning On The Path Of Life

Whichever pathway you decide to choose,
They’ll always be lessons and lots of clues.
On every pathway, lessons will exist,
Finding truth will require that you persist.

Walking a path, does not learning assure.
Takes more than presence, learning to secure.
From your doubt you ask, “why aren’t I learning?”
Lacking desire, the internal burning.

In the present, let the path

The Weight of Others' Expectations

Son of Man, pause before judgment's seat,
Lest haste consume your soul's retreat.
Do what's right, yet don't waste precious time,
For pleasing all is a futile rhyme.

In seeking validation, you may lose your way,
And those you please will mock you on your final day.
Marry with wisdom, don't borrow to impress,
For pleasing others can lead to financial distress.

You

Premium MemberA few lessons of grief

Each person grieves in their own way,
processing loss is never easy.

It helps to have understood early on
that nothing lasts forever.

Death is part of this life that's transient,
the end never comes when opportune.

It's comforting to focus on the treasures,
no matter how short the love has lived.

And what remains within the heart,
enshrined, resides in there forever ~
