Moon Lessons
O precious full moon, so far away.
Even though it's night, you made my day.
O moon, you're so very bright tonight;
I love to gaze into your light.
This much I learned from you.
We are not alone in what we do.
As goes time, you and I also change.
You shine even though not always full.
Your brightness and size vary,
But you are always the moon.
You never try to be other than the moon.
You are not near as bright as the sun.
I cannot stare into the eyes of the sun.
But oh my dear moon, I see you clearly.
You are not as large or as popular,
But like the sun, you rise and set.
