They are untroubled days;
I bask in their rays.
They are days of unclouded light;
I can see through each night.
I often sit on the porch,
viewing the past with a searchlight.
I spend more time with the sacred,
no longer opening the door at dawn to journey.
I am at peace with the unchanged;
I walk through the meadow with vivid understanding.
Family are the stars of the night sky;
they are the radiant and colourful petals of the summer field.
You come, and my memoir sits on the shelf.
I am no longer a puzzle to myself.
You come, and the days I awaken to are gifts to treasure;
I don’t idly waste my leisure.
September 19, 2026.
Two-chaired, langourous.
One, lamentable.
Seasons as heart-states apart.
Eve-sat. Outside; in
Be this yours and mine.
Rustic. Peaceable.
Summer love's full mooned, felt as.
That, frog-sung, sharing!
No day's fading sky
No, not old Autumn's
Can never too drear, doleful
Show as o'erstated
This its latter image
Life's; then bored of face.
Would in anticipation of
Run. Hope's vain Time-fled!
In my latter years now
I seldom leave home
Excepting for groceries,
Cat food a must! Along
With required Dr. visits,
Often reminded that,
No matter how well I feel
I could be dying....
------------------------------
The piano tuner came back
Today, told me that my instrument
Was fine! Well, I replied, can you
Do something about those out of
Tune birds? New batteries he suggested.
-----------------------------------------------
I was in the backyard today,
Putzing around the garden.
An early spring seeing in
The offering – swore I heard
The old fig tree sigh, already
Another season! Actually,
Nature would get along richly
Able without the two of us —
Dusted your empty lawn chair —
Valentine's tomorrow. Your Rose
And I have not forgotten.
When and how
did we see chivalry last
or is it now
a thing of the past
and honour among thieves
is no honour at all
while beating my brains
against the wall
besting the dragons
at City Hall
am I wrong in thinking
it's my fight
or am I errant
as a roving knight
exhibiting gallantry
within a crowd
of apathy
indifferent
to the powers that be
outnumbered and outgunned
Sancho when needed oh where is he?
With apologies to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547 – 1616)
devastating, yet
cleansing, refreshing…awakes
the colors of brood
blooms incendiary boast
scorched eyes forget fright’ning storm

Glory to the most high
You shall not be drenched
Mercy from the Father
You shall not get wet
For you are covered
For you are sheltered
You are well yes you are
Blessing are you on you
Oh and I thank-you Jesus
Yes, I thank you I receive that in your Name
I RECEIVE THAT IN THE NAME OF Jesus
I am healed and whole
Your latter rain is here
May peace grace and mercy
Continually abound in and with you Holy, Holy
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

It is better,
In a letter,
To your mind unfetter:
Your claims of being a pace-setter,
And a neglected go-getter.
Better in a letter,
Your tears make wetter,
A former switch with a latter,
The slimmer present as the fatter;
Better in a letter,
To disclose that one is a waiter,
And to another his hater:
Better in a letter.
today is tomorrows yesterday see you tomorrow~

In my latter years
I spend much time
reflecting ( a figure-
of-speech, of course;
for there is little sheen
left to the skin for light
to beam back: and far too
many wrinkles to recall
a satisfying image)--but
I digress: as I was saying,
a survey of the paths I
have taken, and my
fellow sojourners met
along the way, occupy
much of my time –
So little seems important
now...the wonder of them
all escapes me: what I have
collected and discarded,
probably having overlooked
the best – especially those
dear casual relationships I
took for granted, my
charm to acquire many
as needed. If there is
indeed a God to meet
in the near future, I pray
he has a more favorable
opinion of me – and
if not...perhaps will
cut me some slack for
a sincere attempt at
honesty….
The day i died.
I was about to say the words.
But i never got a chance for open my mouth.
Because the time of my mouth was already end.
That day somene was talking with me.
But i did not heard anything,
Becase the time of my mouth was aready end.
I also wish i heard everything.
I also never got a chanceto apologise to everyone i have wronged to them.
I aso wish to say good bye to my beloved.
But i gone unsaid words.

Dear lily,
I have been here for a long time
are you know?
Why didn't see me?
although I am here for you.
Why you go away from my heart.
My broken heart has been blowing in the place
where you leave me.
This is my latter.
I Robert mugabe.
My people.
This is what I do like you to know.
I stood and went to Singapore.
To fight the pain in my flesh.
On this day 05-09-2019 I thought to returning home Zimbabwe.
I heard the voice of my heavenly father calling my name.
My son Robert mugabe.
I am your father from above.
You have acompleshed your mission.
I call you home, i say come home.
That way I returned home heaven.
Don't scratch each other, be one.
Don't let the enemy devide you, and steal your land.
I protected the land for you.
That are my words,
l have left,
we'll meet again.

The Latter Rain
The latter rain our Lord so great has promised
would be sent to harvest His mighty precious crop
souls and souls of all ages will be coming
and the devil’s work we will perpetually stop.
For this rain the Word of God has promised
it will bring a mighty blessing from His hand
restoration and refreshing in its rain drops
come to replenish this dry and withered land.
Yes, the job then for the church to remind the Father
of His wonderful promise of old
send the rain, Dear Father like You promised
Your shekinah glory as pure as liquid gold.
For I know that where His drops fall
people are made holy and as pure as the white driven snow
becoming an army with Jesus as their Commander
but we are still awaiting His one Word to send us, that Word is, Go!

A new start is always good
beginning afresh completely new
this opportunity came to me late
least expected it not having a clue
But when it came it was a thrill
to do my own thing in my time
using this time what I thought best
relaxing at peace life's a rhyme
An opportunity to enjoy nature's best
walking in the hills forever green
seeing the countryside at it's loveliest
such a sight so real to be seen
I could also read all I promised
to feast my eyes upon before
such history I hadn't known
now I could let my mind soar
To give more time to poetry
read and write to my hearts content
write real images in your mind
blessed is this for it's divinely meant
(This is based on my new life of early retirement which began four years ago.)
