Wizen flowers lost
it's not the waltz of flowers
sounds the farewell waltz
LAST WALTZ
Sixty years since the day that we married;
When we danced that first dance as man and wife.
Sixty years since the moment I carried
You over the threshold to start our new life.
Through thick and thin times, through good and the bad.
For richer for poorer, sickness and health
Bound throughout life by the love that we had.
No need of riches, no need of great wealth.
We’ve danced cheek-to-cheek through those diamond years.
Our life has been a spectacular ball.
Now, as the lights dim and the ending nears,
We wait for the final curtain to fall.
The band is tuning, the dance floor is free.
Say you’ll be saving the last waltz for me.

“I’ve come to the very end of myself,”
the day cried out to the night
“My expiration date lined in blood,
tomorrow less than bright
“My beginning and ending dancing a last waltz,
destiny writing the score
“My wick has burned down, the music has stopped
—too late to ask for more”

Slow and drowsy
Throughout the garden
From one scent to another
Fluttering here and there
Dizzy and groggy
Haphazardly
They stumble
Barely bumbling
They dance with feeble wings
They flit and hover
The way they palpitate
Buzzing in the cool autumn air
Taste testing late bloomers
Under that late September sun
They perform most graciously
Their final waltz of the year

dancing
so close,
a loving
caress,
the whisper
in the ear..
look
in the eye:
the tender
touch
on the cheek
with a sensuous
kiss...as...
romance..

seek
I love you, it’s true
Even though I can’t tell you
For reasons unbeknown to me
The whole world would agree
I love you.
Why do you push me away?
Choosing others before me, as I stand in the doorway
Waiting for my turn
But then once again you adjourn
Again, same old discussions about us
As if waiting to catch the same old bus
Do you love me?
Say yes if it true, say no if it’s false
But whatever happens, this has to be our last waltz
I cannot take much more of your rejection
All I have asked for is your affection
Confusing, I know
But once again you stolen the show
I pray to god for some protection
From your vile rejection
I love you, what makes it worse is I think you know this
So why do you keep taking the……
Oh, how I long to drift to my death
Never again draw a CO2 breath
Each of us twirl in a dance all our own
Loosed by the mistrals and heaven-blown
All of our lives we provision The One
Synthesize O2 and light from the sun
Tasting sweet rain whene'er the clouds burst
Wetting our folds for its deep-rooted thirst
And now in the fall, make way for the spring
Let go our branches to dance and to sing
Trading our green for the shades of the sun
Zion awaits when our last dance ... is done.

La dernière valse
From the skies
Clouds fall upon my dreams
I am up high, away from it all
I am far, but my tears still fall
I stand up and shout to Paris ( Pareee)
You left me, you left me here to fend alone
I can not danse, nor can I waltz
I am here, overlooking skylines of desire
Graveyards calling out my name
The clouds in the sky grey and dancing
The tour Eiffel stands up high
The symbol of all that makes me cry
I can not dance, nor can I waltz
Alizee Alizee go go go
Arête, arête my love simply won’t flow
Abelard died, and so must I
Lovers of love, wine runs dry
Poets and words, vices and crimes
Lovers of the majestic and the absurd
I was pushed over the ledge
In Versailles they left for me dead
Grandiose mirrors and artistic displays
I can not dance, nor can I waltz
So in the castle I will be slayed
By the demons of lovers
From the past, they do say
She left me here
On the left bank of the seine
So here I shall drown totally insane
Notes: I have on purpose used french spelling for some words in the poem.

She lays in her death bed
As tears fill her eyes
Stricken with cancer
She's now paralyzed
She asks for her husband
To sit by her side
He kneels down to comfort
His bedridden bride
She says she'd give anything
Just to have one more chance
To know what it feels like
To dance
He turns on the raido
And takes her by the hand
He holds her in his arms
For she can no longer stand
As the music is playing
He carries her high
Her feet off the floor
She can almost fly
Her eyes begin closing
As they spin round and round
She fills like a princess
Who's missing her crown
She's smiling and crying
In her euphoric trance
She knows what it feels like
To dance
