A thousand years of pain, a heavy burden I dine ,
Death echoes in darkness, tons of grief I'm ladened with ,
Ashes for clothes, myrrh for a raiment in d mist ,
Scorned, hopes consumed I had to give up wine

How anyone can say “no thank you” to hot chips
l do not understand
The enticing smell so completely irresistible
For hot chips l would swim ocean and walk land!
Warm and comforting on a cold day
A must when by the sea
Accompanied with salt and vinegar
Or ladened and covered in gravy
At the end of a lovely summers day
Basking in the warmth of the evening
To end that perfect day
Hot chips please….a-steam’n!
Hot chips just by themselves
Or as a strong right hand man
Always the perfect offsider
So versatile…. eat them as you can
I often hear the salty sound of hot chips a-calling me
“Are you on your way….we are waiting Deb”
Out of sheer politeness “only”…..my reply “Yes I am”
How rude would l be if l said “No” instead!!

brown bear had a caused a dare
I heard his name was rather rare
and his clothes closets were completely bare
but his honey-ladened food was everywhere
don’t come then said my brother Lair
I’ll face him alone, if you have a scare
I did not know what to think of the brown bear
His eyes caught mine in a scary stare.
bear said I guess you are here because of the dare
I do not know what happened next for I left Lair
running as if I were being chased by the bear
Who was now playing chess with my brother Lair

Her heart is heavy with despair, her soul abandoned
Unruly tangled locks modestly shroud her face and flesh,
Yet her naked rawness, a voyeur’s ideal conception
Yielding to a drab empty room mirroring a bereft mood
Bedding ladened with dead weight heavily sinking
A young woman in grave distress shedding copious tears
A bohemian girl sequestered, hiding, drowning in sorrows
Her flowing streams fall warm, healing and abiding

It’s Your destiny
Crying in the streets
those who will find her
Ask, knock and seek
It’s who you are, who I am, who you are
Come to me come
Tired and weary one,
Come to me come
I will give you rest.... I will give you rest
Seek me early
I’m crying in the streets
I will raise you high
High above defeat
To find who you are, who I am, who you are
Come to me come
Tired and weary one
Come to me come
Heavy ladened one
Come to me come
Beautiful gifted one
Come to me come
It is already donnne
Come to me come
I will give you rest....I will give you rest

Endless sorrow and great danger
Beautiful city filled with blood
The redness will end, so will the dispersing blood
Right or wrong will be a luxury for the weak
Like few waves coursing the calm sea
Battling the fear of chaos
ladened heart harboured
misery, hatred, bitterness
Spreading like wild night fires
Conflicting emotions littered heart's dreams
Confessing concealed pains from its archive
awaiting the purgatory that comes therewith
neither grace nor resentment
Hold aloft the horn of hope
blowing till not a grasp of air left
unburdening the worries that piled as _Olumo_
calling to the heaven, payment to the collar
solace not lost but sold on auction
who have been to the other side and back?......

Echoes through the hallway
Of this dilapidated ruin
A stone house made with devoted hands
Ladened once with the life and love of humans
Soft whispers can be heard
An occasional silhouette hazily drifts by
The humans that once lived here
Continue to reside ….

High minded but low brow,
and living the contradiction
of a greater truth
I’m caught between transcendence
and pontification
my pockets ladened
with a traitor’s silver
—in search of gold

When the Storm Subsides
When strong winds dissipate, calmer skies appear
The torrential rainfall changing the atmosphere
Taking in all that Mother Nature provides
Sun tries to peak when the storm subsides
Droplets of rain dance on ladened tree leaves
Drenched soaked ground too much it receives
With pooled and puddled soil drenched abides
All taking place when the storm subsides
When people are fighting, causing each other harm
When the hatred stains the air, puts you in alarm
When it is finally all over and calmness resides
And all healing starts when the storm subsides
When everything you do seems to go awry
And frustrations and anger simply multiply
You look inwards to find where your love resides
To calm yourself until the internal storm subsides
There are certain themes that represent a storm
Be it atmospheric in nature that takes form
Or be it anger, hurt or despair that resides
Be ever so grateful when the storm subsides

Have you seen my children?
I said, No,
Thank you, she said, but
I left them in the house, and
Now I can't find them.
Fast, go to the station, and
Make your case,
She took heed, and went.
Another day she returned,
My friend, she called, the will
Of the enemies shall not manifest
In your life,
In the name of Jesus,
I said Amen,
She thanked me, and left.
Her thanks was regardless to
Our former meeting, but culture,
How beautiful?
Another day, I caught her,
Dropping some crumbs of bread,and
Palm oil in two separate bowls
In my doorstep.
Other days, I saw her
Eating filth, and
Singing cheerfully as she dined.
Yesterday, she sat on the side of
The road talking her chest bare,
I stood on, and listened;
She was preaching the Gospel of Truth, and
She does so every morning.
O Merciful!
Lift now the burden ladened on
This precious soul.

Late Night Prose
______________
Diary is speaking
Her late night wine
Cherry streams
Her ladened chimes
Laced in rhymes
Of passion dear
Muse befallen
Rapture smeared
Dazzled cheer
Her beating heart
Exploding wonder
Bleeding art
Sweeping sparks
Her journey within
Waters therein
Poetry! Poetry!
Floetry! Floetry!
A modest piece
A bounteous feast
Midnight love
Eternal driven
Inferno written
Her thoughts!
Her thoughts!
Her deepest thoughts!
Secrets lost!
Diary! Diary!
Typical diary!
But, I love it!!!
I love it!!!

Echoes of their squalling,
finally interferes with my slumber.
Opening my eyes,
to see the pensive faces of the ladened.
And my ears,
to the ear-splitting shrill of the piteous.
Showing me their greatest fears,
Slowing becoming reality before their eyes.
I have seen for myself,
brothers smothering one another.
As a new era seeks recognition,
Iniquity impetuously taking its position.
Tardily becoming the order of the day.
Shortly to be a disease we cannot contain.

Ripples ladened with slow songs
are the blinks of your sleepy eyelashes
lashing me for sold innocence
and for feeding dreams with the putrid meat of wrongs.
The past is beautiful in your eyes child
when tears wasn't ink to seal hate
and all these dainty pooh-pooh of pride
Was nothing, if it wasn't chocolate.
How you sought magic leaving my room cluttered
while you chuckled at the sight of it with puerile lens.
I regret all your unicorns I butchered
when I filled your head with realism and science.
As you sleep after bedtime tale
I will kiss your bruised temple
and oil your hair with the vial of alabaster
broken from a guilty heart.
I'll cut the awe of you into letters
to weave a vast verse
studded with adventure and magic
and new lullabies cherubic.

Those stars I stare at night,
Gazing at it makes me feel everything's alright,
Even how far I am in my real world,
Thus, its stillness converging me to the other side of the globe.
I am still coping with my chosen adventurous life,
Where forgotten memories emerged in me, and reside,
These memories were only anesthetized by my cold heart,
And awhile, it’s haunting in my lonely leg of life.
But, having a lonely day in my existence,
Gives clearness to my ladened vagueness mind,
Where acceptance is truly visibly inclined,
And all that's left undone? Should withhold by now.
