here we are in decaying form
searching for happiness eternal
strangely amidst desires ephemeral
each night in dreams, we conjure illusions
we are both the subject as also all the objects
hypnotised, we experience a gamut of emotions
but on waking up at morn we heave a sigh of relief
what if the waking state we call real is also a dream
with death of body-mind being the end of delusion
if this be so then why would we identify with form
instead of recognising here now our true being
is not the truth of existence before our eyes
in the pause of each polarity interchange
in thought rested joy animated vibrance
beyond space-time and all manifestations
we as living light yet remain as consciousness
vibrant, aflame, aglow, free and feeling complete
dwelling thus for all eternity in transcendental peace
verbosity and complexity in speech
mind-centric, puts heart out of reach
instead oh hermit, become like a flower
whose ineffable fragrance doth empower
without any effort employed on is part
sublime effervescence, a work of art
Gazing on this lilac tree
Blooming here in front of me
Its scented petals fill the air
Springtime's sweet romantic fare
A simple love is what I seek
Dear Bluebird, may I kiss your beak?
Or mon cheri, a little dance
Somewhere far away in France?
A bicycle that's built for two
An Alpine ride, just me and you
A baseball game at Citifield?
Just tell me, to your whims I'll yield
Let me show you my old home,
Comb all the places where I've roamed
Then finally where I hid the note
When of my love for you first wrote
breath of God
fills our form
why then pride
feel heartbeats
allow bliss
to lead us
as God’s child
we’re as He
love and light
Just keep it simple
Don’t clutter your head
Clutter causes stress
Too much stress makes you dead!!
Just keep it simple
Try a slower pace if you can
Life is too short
To act like a madman!
Just keep it simple
Don’t sweat the small stuff
Try positive not negative
Not grumpy and gruff
Just keep it simple
Don’t intentionally cause strife
Don’t be a busybody
Or meddle in others lives
Just keep it simple
Be nice not mean
Show respect ,be kind
Not rude and obscene
Just keep it simple
Be humble ,don’t complain
On this earth only once
Make the most….Don’t let it be in vain!
Why make everything complex
Complicate, replicate, concave, or convex?
I am a strong proponent of simplifying
If there’s a problem, it’s for rectifying!

Keep it simple, our thoughts are befuddled
Lost in the maze, we are delusional
Ego borne cravings are often tabled
Hermit! Show us the true path, factual
Our dilemma such, it is comical
By spiralling dark thoughts, we are cudgelled
We seek guidance, by direct visual
Keep it simple, our thoughts are befuddled
The path direct, by love we are cuddled
We rest all knowing experiential
Ego mind such, it will have us muddled
Lost in the maze, we are delusional
All we need, is love in our arsenal
Agreeing by divine, to be cajoled
We need patience, the shift is gradual
Ego borne cravings are often tabled
Truth glowing in our heart, cannot be googled
We are the light, we are the miracle
Our innocence from heights has now tumbled
Hermit! Show us the true path, factual
Following love, fragrant and musical
Our centred presence, with bliss thus huddled
Voice of loving conscience infallible
We now stand erect, when once we stumbled

Swamplands stagnative
The sticky substance
Binding blinding glue
Cause of resistance
We may exit
The Maya web
By detachment
In contentment
Vaporised
We imbibe
Love current
Pure bliss
Unstained

Everything today is technical and overly complicated
It has to be shiny and new for us to be persuaded
Bells and whistles glitz and glitter always overdone
To keep our attention make it fun fun fun
The world is exploding with gadgets galore
With internet overwhelming it actually bores
Thousands of channels to watch
Thousands of stores to shop
Any type of venue
Everything on the menu
Dazzle our senses with dreams unreal
Becoming so numb we can't feel
Keep it simple,
Smile,
I love you
Using words with hidden meanings
is for those with intellectual leanings
Poems that are complicated
are strictly over-rated
Give me a poem with simple gleanings.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
the Bible is clear
no mystery riddle
or perplexing
confusion
the Word is simple
no brainteaser puzzle
or baffling
illusion
Jesus shares
messages even
children
comprehend…
God so loved the world that
He gave His only Son so
whoever believes in Him
will not perish but have
Eternal life
John 3:16
I am the way the truth and life
no one comes to the Father
except through Me
John 14:6
He kept it simple
so should we

Tryin' to figger out what the composer said!
