Just Claying Around

My hobby incorporates fantasies!
To my otherwise ordinary day.
I knead more validation,
That's why I sit down to clay.
The various techniques over stimulate me,
All the colors mesmerize.
The hardest part is choosing
What it is I want to visualize.
Just a lump of clay you say?
Well, I surely disagree.
I you open up your mind's eye;
There's so much more to see!

Premium Member Bottomless Depth

Deeper than the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench,
Bottomless curls, furls, swirls, and whirlpools of thoughts and feelings;
Thoughts go deeper than the Challenger Deep that does entrench -
Designs and adorns the inner core of the earth's ceilings...!

The depth of the heart is deeper than the deepest depths, vast,
I do not mean the biological heart, that's flesh, weak;
My heart is a poetic, romantic creative art,
That incorporates the universe that does volumes speak...!

Sunda Deep of the Java Trench is very deep as well,
Could anyone measure the true depths of a conscious mind?
Thoughts take pleasure in the central core of Hades to dwell,
Frenzy passion wants, with the deepest of worlds, to be twined...!

Depth of thoughts and feelings and words and verses should prevail,
They should tell the world, each day, many a liberty tale...!!!

Samhain

SAMHAIN – All Hallow’s Eve

(Anapestic tetrameter)

As the evening approaches and darkness surrounds,
When orb spiders are weaving to capture their prey,
then, all over the country, a madness abounds,
Where abnormal behavior is out on display.

On the streets of the suburb an army descends,
To amuse their weird bones for a moment of thrill,
With some tricking and treating their friendship extends,
While their costumes portray an unpleasant death chill.

Though the meaning of this day, is lost on these mobs,
An old Gaelic event brings an end to the crop,
Or beginning of winter with sniffles and sobs,
and the feast of All Saints, ill-designed from the top*.

Yet the death that they honor was with them from birth,
Unaware of its presence while living on earth.

3rd place trophy winner

* Pope Gregory 3rd changed the feast day to 1st November which now incorporates some of the traditions of Samhain.

Axis of my mind, body, thoughts, feelings,
Fears, emotions, passions, friendly dealings;
My spirit incorporates each feature,
Of my being as an earthly creature...!

Thinks, feels, motivates, manipulates,
It stands above all predetermined fates;
Life, resolve, awareness and thought pattern,
All preserved in its purview for certain...!

Created in God's likeness and image,
Within undergoes awful scrimmage;
The atman enlivening the body,
Are you in my lungs? Or in heart noddy...?

Whatever it might be; or however;
The times resurrect sometimes or never;
Spirit lives on; will live; like sap in leaves;
Joy fills the heart of anyone believes...!

I wake, I work, I play, and I sleep,
    In between, I'm happy and sad.
It seems a simple life, not too complex,
    Yet this life has both good and bad.

The phrase, ' The devils in the details ',
    Would be appropriate here.
As morality looks to judgement,
    With actions it can steer.

Because with every breath we take,
    There is thought that we give.
Where the mold is cast and broken,
    In a present sculpture that we live.

Our minds may take for granted,
    The very thought it generates.
While this privacy looks to assemble,
    A new creation, that incorporates.

This cycle appears constant,
    Beginning with a spark of simplicity.
Only to be added to, or taken from,
    A convoluted complexity.

JAFFNA ODIYAL KOOL
==================

Beautiful ”Kool”
Call it Jaffna Soup, broth or stew.
Signature dish of Jaffna district,
Relished by every one in the peninsula.

Tamarind based Kool,
With seafood items,
Fish, shrimp, squid and crab,
Add taste beyond words.

Incorporates various spices,
With long bean, jack fruit seeds, manioca
O what a taste it gives,
When odiyal flour thickens it.

Mouth waters at the sight of
The fantastic odiyal kool,
Tastes better when you drink,
From a folded jack leaf.

Kool is an enjoyment at family gatherings,
In most of the Jaffna homes.
Without the traditional kool party,
Family gatherings seldom disperse.

      Once more around the park please
      Once more, just so i can see

The Indian child has finally found her way
By showing the world of her Indian days
The times when her life was carefree and fun
And those that were chasing she could always out run

 And theirs the stolen little wayward child
whose cuss words , still can make me smile
Bicycle rides around the school
Being fastest made you cool

Once more around the park please
Once more, just so I can see

I like to know where my money spent
How much is owed and how much is lent
Its the game of life I have always played
I have gotten here, cause I don’t behave

Once more around the park please
Once more, just so I can see

So much I missed on the last journey around
Within this park that Incorporates a town
The swings the paths, the ducks and geese
Have been left here for me to see

 Once more around the park please
Once more before I have to leave.

'she Is Poetry'

Her body smells of heady perfume with imprints of metaphors on her bruised skin
Adores herself in the vagued mirror
A smile so pleasing yet so harmful
Beads of similes gather to decorate her with a hook to conceal the brutality of her body,
The handcuffs of diamond personifies to the human trait of possessiveness
Accompanied by the golden ring of epithet entangled within her raw hands
Her pierced ears hearken to the ballads of antediluvian times;lips reciting verses of contemporary world
Her fragility lays in the mascara she puts,smudges the kajal with brushes of alliterations
The messy bun incorporates secrets of love and musings of hate alongside a lily holding onto the desires for warmth
Her brittle nails dip into the paint of interjections finishing with a slight coating of delicate red mousse
The cottton dress of yellow now feels accomplished with a hint of storm caressing underneath.

My Eternal Grief

You have left but some part of you here stays
I drape my mind in your memories sheet
To silent wind your name I often say
Quilt of pain incorporates my heart beats

My soul freezes in dreadful feelings sleet
There's nothing new to think of you each day
Eternal grief found me passing by streets

As strewn papers broken heart goes astray
How can I drift with my unwinding feet
My new me has kept older self at bay
Quilt of pain incorporates my heart beats
