In the beginning two lovers were born
In the campus parking lot behind the student union

They clung together for 60 years
Until one day my wounded bird knew
Her broken hip would not allow her to fly again

I was too old and weak to pick her up off the floor
When she fell...she said she wanted to go to a nursing home
Where strong young girls could do what I could not

It's where old people go to die, nobody gets out of there alive

Once a week I drive there to bring candy and other treats to her bed
And news from our empty house that I share with our old girl calico cat

It's the beginning of the end

In the beginning there were three;
An undisputed trinity of reasons
showing audiences why;
More enthralled with each scene were they,
a legacy this crowd helped build;
Culture shifted forever with this movie;
A dish served best with friends in theatres.

who or what am I?

in life`s tapestry of life,

a mere fleck of dust just drifting,

trying to create life.

searching for my oasis,

a fertile spot to rest.

all I need is just one chance,

let mother nature do the rest.

Premium MemberIn the Beginning Was the Word - John 1: 1-5

God has revealed Himself in Jesus
for this saviour is the living word
in the very beginning, He was with God
this word is God to deny this is absurd

In the beginning, there was God
three persons of the Trinity as one
nothing or no one else was there
eternity is God's abode with His son

God in the Word is the creator
everything created by this God alone
without Him, nothing was ever made
this Word came to this world to atone

This Word was life to the fullest
in Him alone was found real light
the very life of men was true
this God Word rose to the ultimate height

Darkness has no answer to this light
for the beam to fully shine
the darkness could not comprehend
for the Word and light together dine

(John 1 : 1-5
King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

In the beginning
what we may call noumena
from a singularity unfathomable
the very first outpouring of God’s breath
created what we now see as vastness of space

but what space is we yet know not

the boundaryless inky black void of nothingness
a bubble of manifestation came into being
occupied by God motionless in stillness
He then created a pulse, the Word
that duality may herein pulsate

the Word is Om ~ sound of the sun

The womb of existence is space
liken it to God’s manifest omnipresence
unknowable, within all and yet standing apart
within which we’re localised as individuated entities
although in truth being inseparable from the all that is

the truth of ‘who am I’ we must discern

as such, since we are not this decaying organic form
to know who we are we must stop the flow of time
for which within the pause of each polarity shift
our attention if fixated in pristine silence
discards false identity revealing truth

that we’re living light in God’s image

In the beginning there was man woman and bird and then there was see
when the spirit of God moved inside them, they were all flown in for free
At the very start God gave His will full hand but then he released free will
some recognized their part in it and chose good will others chose to kill...
We are in a secondary world full of pain and confusion buzzing like busy bees
and most of us have blinders on , we cannot see the forest for the trees;
Time evolves the Angels watch us carefully, wondering when will we learn?
some of us have make the effort to awaken, some of us still crash and burn.
In the beginning the earth was quiet and the deer panted near the brook
some of us dig deep in our souls, but then there are others who never look.

In the beginning, was the “primeval atom”
according to the scientific datum.
From a state of infinite density,
known as the primordial singularity,

the atom experienced faster-than-light expansion,
followed by a massive temperature reduction.
More heating and cooling produced protons and neutrons
the building blocks from which life eventually grew.

In the beginning, there was a collapsed star,
begins a theory that sounds so bizarre.
From the debris which that black hole spewed
the universe eventually grew.

In the beginning, there was antimatter,
and an equal amount of matter,
according to plasma cosmology,
the plasma universe theory.

The interactions of electromagnetic fields
a superabundance of plasma yielded.
Plasma produced matter and antimatter.
Our universe eventually formed purely of matter.

In the beginning, there was God,
omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent,
immortal, invisible, infinite, and eternal.
God spoke this universe into existence.

The seeming infinity of the universe,
it’s intricate and incomprehensible complexity
testifies of the God who created it.
Mortals, be awed, acknowledge, and worship Him.

How did it all start
Was there really a 'Big Bang'
Or is that just code for
  ex nihilo* we sprang

What if there's really a Creator
  Who fashioned the world
     then Adam and Eve

If He put the snake in the Garden
He sure had some tricks up His sleeve

It's hard to believe man evolved from a single-cell creature
or that he emerged fully grown either, so

Since millions prefer to believe in neither
Let's give this whole topic a breather...

In the Beginning

The Word was with God from the beginning
without whom nothing came into being.
     With creation of life
     from God came the Light
the dread of the dark overcoming.

"In the beginning"

So many people discredit or discount God as being a Creator.
Why? Because of their understanding (actually misunderstanding) the Bible
account of creation as explained by Creationists. The imposition of 6 days of creation being literal 24 hours, truly misrepresents the truth of the Genesis account.

Scientists now believe the universe had a beginning about 14,000,000 years ago. They claim that the Bible does not recognize this fact and so is incompatible with scientific discovery of truth.
However, the very first expression of the creation account is found at
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth".

So this acknowledges there was a beginning!
Nowhere does the Bible state 6,000 years ago the earth was created.
It could very well be billions of years!

I urge all truth seekers to do a thorough study of the scriptures, thereby coming to understand there is a loving Creator who cares about us.

Coming next: More proof that the Bible is compatible with science!

Premium MemberIn the Beginning - Alternate Start To Human Life

Lift a baby from water, after decending from the cloud
An alternate way to start the world, the vision makes me proud
She could be the first earth mother, the start of all mankind
The greatest person ever lived, would need an open mind

I place her down upon the bank, there to see her grow
To take her place in legend, no seeds of doubt to sow
I guard her with the power I have, to see her to adult
Implant her with a virgin child, wait for the result

I plant for her a garden, where the two of them may play
Fill it full of bounty, give fresh water they can spray
But there is something missing, in the scheme of things to come
One a hubby, one a dad, I will combine them into one

I will go back to the water, see if another there
Cast my vision back and forth, end with a vacant stare
Change my gaze up to the beach, and spy a coconut
Could be just the thing I need, to use for head or butt

I took the finished model, so the Mum could give her view
She looked so happy that I thought, I should maybe make her two
That is how the human race, started on this earth
I am sure that's how it happened, for what my opinion's worth
