Idle words dance; leaves in the wind.
I walk the streets, somewhat chagrined,
as they whirl about unconfined.
Their magic takes root in my mind.
Within myself, I come to see
the treasures amongst the debris.
Reality is left behind.
Their magic takes root in my mind.
Words take on a life of their own
with images, hither unknown,
lifting dark veils from eyes once blind.
Their magic takes root in my mind.
Idle words dance; leaves in the wind.
Their magic takes root in my mind.

"My ideas usually come not at my desk writing but in the midst of living." -- Anais Nin
Before I stirred, the early bird
Built a nest on my head
Then on one date, it found a mate
Before I got out of bed
With outside dim, I tried beating him
When next day I arose sooner
But all I heard, were chirping birds
Leaving me in a bad humor
The very next day, to my dismay
The two birds perched on my leg
Loudly tweeting, and repeating
Implying they now have eggs
One week later the incubator,
Mrs. Early, from brooding all day
On her nest, and although a pest
Hatched her eggs, so I shouted yay
Since early birds, my idle words
Couldn’t slow them at their chore
Of feeding, what they were breeding
And wouldn’t you know at night they snore
The chicks grew fast, like no time passed
In their nest on top of my head
And when off they flew, that’s when I knew
I could finally get out of bed
Talk Is Cheap

Life’s about in my doing not in what I say,
my actions remain though time may creep.
Idle words can haunt me on any given day,
and because words come easy talk is cheap.
“Better to see something once,
than to hear about it a thousand times.”
(Asian Proverb)
Window to the world
No longer mere idle words
~ Gaze at your Dream-world
This singularity, pandemic at Easter, global difference
How singular that every nation is "shutting down,"
Each country reduces travel and trade. Unthinkable before Corona!
CHRIST Jesus, how could I ever honor YOU even now!
Rose up early, 2am, said a prayer, now this poem to my God
O LORD forgive my unworthy ways to share Thy WORD
Sharing testimony of WHO you are, is said to be one way
Sad to say, I can't tell my family, "Idols and idle words are dead"
we live everyday
wasting our lifetime speaking
idle words sans rhyme
Idle words transmit
Laziness trapped in a web
Wrapping the speaker
How many times
Did you make me laugh?
I lost count over the years
Your soppy sweet smile
The clumsiness you exude
The funny guy
That's what you are
How many times
Did you make me smile?
Cheered me up on sad days
Endless cuddles
There for me always
The caring guy
That's what you are
How many times
Did you make me cry?
Only ever with happiness of course
You make me proud
Every single day
The clever guy
That's what you are
How many times
Have I told you I love you?
Not just idle words to us
I loved you then
I love you now
The loved guy
That's what you are
How many times
Have we kissed goodnight?
And with the passion we still possess
Stronger together we are
Side by side
My guy, my everything
That's what you are....
Two boys in a field
Just passing the afternoon
Idle words spoken
Aware of the song of bees
The future only a dream

The idle words begin to take over my train of thought.
My heart and my soul believe they can never be bought.
The suttle feelings of emptiness and being alone
What lies ahead of me, in reality the fear of the unknown.
Self doubt is the enemy if I allow it to conquer myself I lose it all.
Then I'll become weak and take the final fall.
I search within for the strength and the will to fight
I can not stop believing in what I feel in my heart is right.
I must always remember what ahead of me lies
I have a strong mind, a good heart, and the will to survive.
When one decides which thoughts he shall portray,
Remembering wherein his dreams abide,
Imagination through each phrase untied.
Those dancing thoughts upon a page find way.
Idle words lay sleeping one more day.
Not sound nor phrase decides its wordy stride.
Go, now thinkers on your sweet dreams glide.
Successful writing, in one’s thoughts finds play.
Unleashed are fantasies through word and rhyme.
Caressed, each thought in imagery and word.
Collisions of life’s peace and pain, now poetry.
Express thy loves and sorrows throughout time.
Sing sweet the songs where reason seems absurd.
See sunshine smile its face, my friend, on thee.

IN THE NAME OF GOD
So much is said and done
In the name of God
For good, for evil
To give credit or blame
Who are we to use
The name of the Holy One
God Most High
To explain our own actions
Which may be righteous
Or on the contrary
Only a deception
Of what is truly
The will of God
Care must be taken
To avoid misrepresenting
The Creator
Judgment for idle words
Abusing one another
And God’s name
His character defamed
Lies believed brings destruction upon many
Ignorance rules in the heart of
The unredeemed, the unrenewed
Even the knowledgeable
Often lack sound judgment
But in the end
God will not be mocked
And His truth
Will be evident to all
