Finally, everything was made possible
From just 'You and I', to 'Groom and Bride'
By our beloved and precious families
We walked the aisle of the church with blessed smiles.
Friends and well-wishers, who always stayed along,
Who prayed and blessed our journey.
Grateful to everyone for being a part of our wonderful story.

He is a good man with morals
He takes good care of his wives
He boasts about his wives a lot
Especially people's wives.
Our husband doesn't cheat says the wives
He's a responsible man with morals
Just but ten he married us
He promised not to marry again.
Our husband doesn't sleep at home
He said we scream a lot
He needs concentration for his work
So he sleeps in hotels of his choice.
What a wonderful man God gave us
He has seven secretaries for himself
Each tends to him when needed he said
Though we don't know what our husband does for a living. But we do know he works at night and doesn't sleep at home.
Mom, you're the sunshine of my life.
You're a dedicated worker, a wonderful wife,
Someone who doesn't take no mess,
Gives me comfort whenever I'm stressed;
Encourages me to do my best,
And never loves me any less.
How can I repay you for all you've done?
You have provided for your daughter and son.
You prepared me for bed with storybook in hand,
Tells me jokes, singing songs with the band;
Made my delicious meals, shipped me to school,
And made sure Mama didn't raise no fool.
I dedicate this poem with gratitude and love,
To our awesome mother blessed by God above.
You're an inspiration and a great role model, too:
Enjoy this day made especially for you.
Happy Mother's Day!
Your good love strengthens bones like sunshine
My nose, a rose, a toast of red wine
The great flames of passion licking hot
though evenings grow, firsts sometimes forgot
Forgot that tender morn our eyes met
Hot with extraordinary sweat, wet
Wine, a blush cabernet, sparkling smiles
Sunshine spotless, a wonderful while
Would I forget Heaven's first advent
Sitting in the waiting room in pre-op,
weight and height taken,
filling out a two-page form,
your hand trembling with age.
A history of a long life,
the body betraying the best years—
the Golden Years, where time moves slower.
The neck that needs physio,
the knee throbbing after hours on your feet,
the heart beating in time
with the new pacemaker,
its battery promising at least ten more years.
Thankful for technology,
we get to hold hands another day.
The myriad aches and pains,
a fleeting smile—
the young man with a full head of hair
and a light step,
looking back at me.
Forty years of a good life,
not wanting to see it end.
Together, hand in hand,
we will triumph.
Because each second, each minute, each hour,
each day we have together
is a reminder—
of the life we’ve built,
of the love mirrored in our eyes.
What a wonderful reminder
of the simple things in life,
as we sit together,
with hope.
Upon death, I’m soaring to the stars
Bearing all the hurt and the scars
Of a life I’ve suddenly left behind
Wonderful memories, many treasures to find
My spirit has left my body now
Sailing through the clouds somehow
Ascending to the great unknown
This beloved earth, I’ve now outgrown
Wedding bells have turned to rust
My body returning to the earthly crust
I long to see my wife again
She’s been gone now for almost ten
I’ve arrived at a majestic heavenly gate
A sense of belonging and timeless fate
As they open, I’m greeted by friends and kin
I can feel their light without their skin
My wife steps forward to a loving embrace
An angelic glow upon her youthful face
Together again after all these years
We rejoice in a flood of ethereal tears
I had heard of this orange and pink tree,
but doubted such a beauty could exist
Thought my friends had exaggerated.
Oh, no they had not.
It is more gloriously beautiful than they said.
I take twenty-six photos, but none are half as wonderful as the tree herself.
I call my husband and tell him to bring two sleeping bags.
We are going to sleep under this tree tonight.
He brings one bag.
It's Been 4 yrs Mike,what can I say,
I've Missed you so much everyday.
I was just 17 when I became your bride,
From then you Were always by my side.
Everything we did,we did together,
You saw me Through the Stormy weather.
We made a home filled with love,
Raised the children sent from heaven above.
But our time together never came,
Because an Angel Called your name.
I know you were tired of the fight,
It took It's toll both day and night.
But we fought it together for 16 years,
Through the good times and the tears.
You always smiled, you were Never Sad,
You took the good times with the bad.
I know you're still here with me,
What I would give if I could see,
Your smiling face and loving eyes,
Your tender touch when you said goodbye.
To hold you just one time more,
To see you walk in through the door.
I love you Darling with all my heart,
And even though we are apart,
My love for you will never die,
I'll say Hello and not Goodbye.
One day we'll be together again,
Then sunny skies will block out The rain.
My dearest wife, you are my chief, you guide with natural ease,
You’re wonderful to live with, and you always aim to please.
What can I say? You’re brill, you’re fab, you are my guiding star,
However, I must admit, I’m a better chef by far.
My dearest wife, my glamorous assistant who sparkles all the time,
We’ll enjoy a drink tonight – gin for you and I’ll be on the wine.
You brighten up my day, you always make me smile,
Being married to you makes life even more worthwhile.
My dearest wife, I’m the joker in the pack, and you are certainly the ace,
I drive you so mad at times, you’ll want to slap my face.
We never go on a date night because we’re always skint,
I’m happy regardless as being with you is mint.
I was falling through darkness
I had lost - my way
From the things that were important
I was very afraid
Traveling down a lonely path
Constantly looking in the past
My Future was bleak
And I was going no where fast
Then I met you.
Drinking your drink
As lonely as I was
And just as lost, I think.
I fell in love with you
That first night
I knew at that moment
You were going to be my knight
You chased away my darkness
You showed me I could be loved
You gave me hope again
And I thank the Lord above
He answered my prayers.
He sent you to me.
For that I am grateful
Seems we were meant to be
You are a wonderful man.
Taking on so much
For choosing a family
And not a bottle for lunch.
I know I drive you crazy
I know I'm insane.
I feel I am no good for you
But with me you still stay
You are my best friend
You are my lover
You are my shoulder to cry on
I'm glad you're not my brother
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for all that you do
Thank for you being there
Because I am nothing without you.
~ The Rebbitzin ~
The 'Rebbitzin' is the wife
of the Rabbi,
the heart and soul of the
Jewish family
-as you'll see
He studies his books
I scrub all the nooks
He adjudicates laws
I cook and clean without pause
He recites prayers, brings down God’s light
Me? --I do laundry well into the night
As for our nine children, who puts them in bed?
Again me, after which betimes I think I am dead
Now, I’m not complaining
For this life I was training
And the Rabbi’s a wonderful fella…
But who am I? ~ Cinderella?
It's the best of all lights
It has the energy to light
When you looked at me i saw light
Brighter into my sights
You are made of only wonders
Sweet heart you are wonderful
It is so soft
Better than the clouds' softness Incomparable because of it's softness
You have a wonderful soft body
It's better than the euro softs
Because it gives mi comfort
It's a beautiful creature
It's better than an elephant
Because of it's delegacy
It's attractive and it's appearance
Is made of only wonders
Sweet heart you are wonderful.
It would not be fun to paint six canvases a week
If you did not act amazed and astounded.
It would be a waste of my time to write six poems a day
If you stopped reading my work.
It is wonderful that you have taken over the laundry.
I never enjoyed it one whit.
Terrific that you know what I want for supper
And have it ready some days when I walk in the door.
It would be impossible to be me
If I did not have you
To impress, to smile with, to give me fierce approval.
You are my why.
Why I write.
Why I create.
Why I am not exhausted.
You complete me.
Cape May holds a special place in our hearts.
On the day after our engagement eve,
We journeyed to old Cape May town,
And celebrated with her by the sea.
Five years after we came once again,
To recapture that time we remember,
To celebrate our four-year anniversary,
Our love and our marriage of November.
Browsing the shops we like to visit,
Stopping to dine, and drink a toast,
To happy years past and wonderful future,
With my beautiful wife in our home on the coast.
We strolled arm in arm the Victorian streets,
That cool, breezy lamp-lit autumn night,
Greeting the colorfully painted ladies,
Decked out in gingerbread, picket fences white.
We made our way to the winding shore path,
And walked along together hand in hand,
Then down to the beach went my love and I,
Full moon romance shining brightly on the sand.
Pausing at the edge of the sea,
With a long embrace, a sweet kiss,
To gaze out over the rolling waves,
We captured a moment of total bliss.
With the lighthouse bright on the horizon-
Though sometimes we travel in sunny weather,
And sometimes the way is dark and stormy,
In love’s light we’ll always travel together.
