He Is a Big Man
He was a big man.
A broad man.
A laugh-at-a-dumb-joke man.
Wanting to please.
He was a loner.
A bit lost in a crowd.
Scared at parties.
A little boy at bedtime.
Wanting his teddy, later, his wife.
He was a great son.
An attentive son,
An ‘I’ll get the moon for you, Mom,’ son.
Wanting his mother’s love.
He has been a great husband,
A fantastic father,
A wonderful husband.
Wanting to please everyone,
And he has…
