Happy Diwali

Celebrate Diwali, rejoice happily
Light a sparkling lamp
drive the darkness away
spread the light around

envy, hatred, evil of others
get rid of these habits
remove negativity from your mind
light the lamp of love

Ram resides inside everyone
in every heart
see everyone as God
respect everyone

Nice clothes, pretty face
the beauty of the mind above them
lighting a good lamp
light up your soul

Celebrate Diwali rejoice happily
Light a sparkling lamp
drive the darkness away
spread the light around

Note: lights in my balcony. Hindi poem in picture. Translation below

Why Is My Mind Wavered

Why is my mind wavered !!
Why is the moment of hope !!
I am a passer, of hearts,
With joy in letters,
These eyes steeped in mischief,
I wrote the name on my heart,
There is a panic in the chaos, why !!
Love is there, why !!
You are the dream of a poet
You are part of incomplete hearts
Have love with you,
What do you think of me?
Beats in the heart, why is there !!
Picture in thoughts, why is it !!
Why is my mind wavered !!
Why is that....

Sooraj kee roshanee paakar
Chaand kitana jagamagaega

Thank You, Poetrysoup

I have a cheery attitude.
Tomorrow, finals will conclude.
I'll study hard, I'll study right,
I'll study all I can tonight.
Of course, I'll take a break to eat.
Then I'll write a poem really neat,
But one more poem, that is vital,
For publishing is among my finals.
This weekend, I've published a group
Of cute little poems on Poetrysoup,
And made a couple "Poetrysoup friends".
A really good site, which I'll recommend
To anyone who wants to write
Any sort of poem, no matter how trite,
No matter how strange, out-there, cliche,
(I read a Hindi poem today!)
If you like to just create,
Then come on down, this site is great
For all creators just like you.
I'm enjoying it, and I'm still new!
Well, goodbye, it's been really nice
To hear your encouragement and advice
On how to hone and improve my craft.
I saw some of the comments and laughed!
I do miss my grandpa, and I love my cat too,
And my love for them mixed well in this poetry stew.
Thanks for letting me share my words; they're all true.
So long! I hope we'll meet again anew!

Patradoot Or the Messenger 4/Many

Patradoot or The Messenger 4/Many

English version by
Ravindra K Kapoor

Decorated with the beauty of letters,

Your clear body would be ornamented,

And as a wing of my broken heart,

You will steal my feelings, dear.

I am in meditation for the same God,

Whom you also pray, praise and meditate,

You who is born from my hand and pen,

Have a better destiny than your originator.
