I was sitting on the bench,
Under an enormous pine tree 
Situated along the concrete footpath,
Away from the beach.
After a short rest,
I took out a box of food,
Enjoyed my home made lunch,
Was not long at all, a flock of seaguls,
Came from every where landed around my feet.
Each time I threw my food high,
Up in the air

Today, I visited Sorrento back Beach. 
Swam only for five minutes.
Both the swell and the current
Were too high and too strong for me.
Fortunately, the Lifeguard Mason,
Assisted me to get down to the ocean,
Where the waves were less violent.
I held onto his yellow rescue board,
Under my armbit, as he instructed.
When the perfect moment arrived,

Thoughts remain in the delivery room
until the tongue gives them birth.
Many thoughts go full term
but some are birthed premature.

Thoughts kept corralled I hold title to,
but once shared they graze on open range
