Habañero sauce, nice and hot
Dash it all in my cooking pot.
My nose runs everytime I eat.
Every tasty bite brings the heat.
I blow my nose to clear the snot
And I think, “Boy is this stuff hot!”
When I sit on the toilet seat
Is when I really feel the heat!
Traveling through the land,
I was told that I would receive hot food
once I reached the YUCATAN.
My taste buds are of fire
As the flame kisses my lips and tongue.
Oh Pavlov, can you see my salivation?
A fire that is sweet and warming.
Of course, the warming is fire
And the sweetness is the fire bringing on my passion.
Once I arrived I tasted you and it was of pure sweetness.
however, the sweetness was of my taste
As you were good
In the manner of a kiss from a Bella Senorita!
Still, you were not hot in the regard of what I expected.
I will love your taste forever.
however, you were not my fair Carolina!
I have become a fat chair potato
It would be nice to be a tomato
Maybe a chili pepper hot
Or habanero wrought
Anything else to end this trapped woe

Ah, at a magnificent place 'twas
this ball held!
With gorgeous jam debutantes,
arriving one by one.
Sorry you were not there!
To behold the debutantes and
their escorts gliding down the
winding stairs
Such beautiful faces,and all
superbly trained in fine cotillion
graces.
First came Rose Petal and Seville
Orange, a stunning pair!
Then Honeysuckle and Sir Hawthorne,
so stunning they drove the crowd wild.
Next, the gorgeous Pearadise
and Sir Quince, so gorgeous we
all did wince!
Cherry and the famed Knight
Elderberry made all heads turn.
Sparkling Dandelion and Prince
Habanero, so lovely, struck our
hearts like arrows.
The Viennese Waltzes began,
a night so memorable.
We all applauded such gorgeous
couples.
Mesmerized by such grace beyond
finite.
Each couple, bowed and left us "
eventually.
With dreams of next years cotillion,
We all pledged to be!

It was a boomerang love affair
of "once upon a midnight dreary"
preponderances mid ecstasy & woe
obliterating affection's sensibilities,
strategic mid tomorrow's yesterdays
[nectar'd apricot marmalade honey
neath sizzling hot habanero spices]
doused with tears betwixt fiery tumult
and indescribable embraced moments
clutching onto daunting fairy tales of
happily afters & no return adaptations

Where
art though
my pretty
BBQ face?
I long for you, my beef brisket beauty!
My smokin hot habanero pepper,
burn me with love!
No need to
wipe the
sweat…
Sauce
on your
face and you
couldn’t care less.
I am so in love with food, and with you.

There once was a jokester fellow
Who switched the hot habanero
A mild sweet banana bought
One tender succlent sought
When orange pepper he bit bellowed
My husband bought some peppers for our garden.
He wanted me to make some pepper sauce
so he wanted some cayene but could not find
any so he picked up one and said this one is a
Jalapeno..So one day I was out in the garden
and saw that pepper plant..I told him there is a
pepper plant down there that has what looks
like deformed Bell Peppers on it..I pulled the one
that was on there and tasted just a little bite.
It wasn't hot but I could tell that if I took
another bite it would be warm but I have
had Bell Peppers to have just a little heat. I told
him it wasn't hot..So one turned orange and
he pulled it and took a big bite..Well, you
know the rest of the story..
horseradish habanero
a chilli salsa
choriqueso chorizo
chicken monterey
some tequila or
horchata

Abstracts hang:
sterling silver frames,
matted in motif,
celebrating Artist.
An exhibit, ten years old,
collects dust, forcing recollection.
The mortuary – Boyhood Curiosity.
Mother: Naked. Stretched. Stiff. Grey.
Tin baking dishes engulfed the counters.
Great aunts and second cousins crowded our sofas.
Somber chatter and pats on the head stung.
Clasping my girl’s hand, I twisted my door knob
quietly. Their chatter continued.
I escaped into her for my first kiss:
tear salt and cherry lip gloss.
Tuna casserole and ambrosia slopped
into lunch boxes. The cold steel of fresh
cut key tapped on chest, pulled the string around
my neck, leaving a rash. I walked into our empty house.
The walls echoed. Odor from cold spiral ham
replaced aroma of fresh cookies and oil paint.
Art followed Artist. Canvases were laid on the autopsy
table, framed for their wake.
Dressed in their Dynamic Blue,
Electric Lime and Habanero Red,
the dirging dead
hang on wall.
