From The Coal Mine

From The Coal Mine …

Liars …
 early prophets
 of impending doom

(The New Room: February, 2024)

The Moment Shared

We often forget
wrapped up
in our own drama
— that everyone feels the same

(Dreamsleep: February, 2024)

Circle Game

The purpose of war
is peace
The guarantor of peace
— is war

(Dreamsleep: February, 2024)

Crucibles

Moss
hides the message
Whose altar
ascends
In joy’s
adulation
The pilgrimage
— ends

(1st Book Of Prayers: February, 2024)

I Bequeath Thee …

Birthing a memory
 o’er future and past
To carry my words
inside others to last

Birthing a memory
o’er time and space
To those still unborn
— my welcoming grace

(Dreamsleep: February, 2024)

Four Steps

Incinerate
all kindling that burns
Articulate
the knowledge that yearns
Reciprocate
before it’s your turn
Elucidate
— each lesson hard earned

(The New Room: February, 2024)

True Fortune

Good health is loaned
— but never owned

(Deamsleep: February, 2024)

A Tough Shirt of Mine

My Guarantor: ’Never to get torn’
As it is continually worn:
A brush had had with Goring Horn
But not disfigured: A Hard Corn.

A Corduroy never the worse for wear,
Hard material spotting not a tear;
I’ve noticed: Every new morn
Often seeming The Reborn.

A Corduroy which did refuse
To drop me a lame excuse
For choosing to not gainfully last
And breathe its disappointing last…

A tough blue shirt of mine
I should be honoring with Spanish Wine.

Money

Money

The most preferred content of a bulging envelope
For those with a project to develop!
A solicitation by the poor,
With sometimes bent knees on a floor.

Tempter of twenty – first century thieves
Hoping to receive the accolades of Chiefs;
Motivator of wildfire ambitions!
Rooms widening for intuitions!

A guarantor of treasured privileges,
Has had people plucked from stagnant villages;
Money is a capital concern to all bursars,
As much, the singular obsession of grabbing misers

To whom making it is pretty hard,
Once with little, turns its fierce guard!

Not itself an edible
But makes each one saleable.
The reward to tune-singing piper,
His beads of perspiration, best wiper;
The trusted charmer of a woman
To nearly all her man says “Amen”

Live Streaming Suicide

Premature stars planning to shine
from their burial grounds; They thought...
Social Media is the guarantor,
but actually quelling the quality of life over 'LIKES'!
The noose (an employee)
willing to hangout with them until the end.

Premium Member Life of Lies Ii

A life’s Oscar winning award actor
with almost none, lining up as his fan
he’s void of a suitable guarantor
putting himself on the edge of trust’s ban
a free life pressed by a self made corset
as good name hides its hospitality
the next lines of deceit he’s always set
that’s his smooth life and ability
the mind and the heart join to form a cult
reasons of to hide or plot are the main
wows everyone to give nature the fault
emits this black smoke even with no gain
honesty’s bereft to be a widow
in a life which exists in short shadows.

Free Speech

Hateful words ring out, attacking,
Full of malice, piggybacking
On the wings of dire dogma that is narrow to the core.

And the people who are screeching
To the heavens, say their preaching
Is protected and reflected in the nation's guarantor:

'Free Speech'.

Words of hate are links of chains
That bind and burden freedom's gains;
Wrapped around a people's progress, dragging them into the mire.

Stunted in the mud encumbered,
Mankind's days are surely numbered;
Lest he can but break the bondage: to true liberty aspire -

FREE Speech!

Free all words from racist bent
To free ourselves from impairment.

For speech that is most truly free
Emancipates society.

Seasons Numbered

There bloomed a field of flowers wild
across a meadow bare
fallen seeds from ravens beak
there traveled free of fare

Heavens tears washed their bed
then covered a blanket spun of sun
giving life to such fragile flowers
yet to life the winters come

Thin and sheer those sheets like glass
a pretentious lens on the past
much like innocence and a human soul
like ice they crack and adapt

Seasons ever change
and beauty washes away
Tis the artistry within the wild
the knowing it will never be the same

Oh yes, one day, they'll live again
they will seem even stronger than before
finding their moments bathed in tears
but their days in the sun no guarantor

Cruel winters shall never cease to come
vanishing colors first vibrant
just like the soul exponentially broken
ebbs it's passion and soon becomes silent

One must color the path they see
one must see the hues of their dreams
for the fare is no longer free of charge
nor the number of seasons we'll see

Premium Member Can He Take Care

He will guide you in what to do
What to say
Where to be
You don’t even have to wonder
Of what your next step will be
The guardian, director, guarantor
He is
He will make sure
That you will do what he wants you to do
So it’s a fail-proof decree
You don’t need to worry
Whether you are doing what He wants
He will always get what He wants
We cannot do anything
That God does not want us to do
This is His world
And we belong to Him
To love, to shine
To honor
The One who puts us here
We don’t need to be tense
Troubled, uneasy, on edge
Over the minute details
He who takes care of everything
On this earth
Can He take care of you?

Wind Down

that indian, he ain't come to town
still, summer's started windin' down
you can feel it in the air some how
this season's seasoning, time to avow

do soldiers march with cadence strident?
as sure of battles outcomes provident
as time of Sol marches across the sky
another summer season spent, gone by

still, the warmth will linger a bit more
'til Earth's tilting a cooler guarantor
that winter will soon tag this autumn
and nights long flow slow as sorghum

quarterly, we divide our seasonal pie
to save and share and partake thereby
turning our waterwheel of milling time
to something fervent, meaningful, sublime

so, i fervently wish to take this opportune
today, to share this halcyon afternoon
with you alone, ok maybe a pet or two
i love this life, i love this day, i love you

Tinkering Time

in the shop with hardware and bits of wood
can make almost any man feel useful, good

a screwdriver, a drill, some papered sand
away from day-to-day, simply out of demand

just tinkering around with piddling things
the easy satisfaction messin' 'round brings

no major renovation, or building earthworks
just little improvements, near anonymous perks

unsqueaking a hinge, maybe unstick a drawer
fittingly better is what tinkering's for

whether it's the thing of attention being repaired
or the man doing the labor, it's hard to declare

so too, it can be with words on page or a screen
to ensure understanding, say exactly what you mean

a glued letter, word oiled, or nailing a phrase
brings the writer satisfaction of all he surveys

so I continue to tinker a little bit more
on a few couplet lines, with no guarantor

that I'll illicit from you, oh diligent reader
understanding or joy, from this rambling meter

but that is a small sideline to most of my tinkers
it's time tinkering matters to meandering thinkers

Premium Member My Hearts Guarantor!

My Hearts Guarantor!

I love you
I swear I really do

The words are hard to say
But my actions show the way

The way I feel inside
Can be difficult to describe

For fear that love for me
In your heart may not reside

Quietly, my love for you grows
Until the day I can expose…

Expose what my heart truly feels
And break free of all these shields

So, patiently awaits the day
When those 3 words I can finally say

The day when fear is no more
And you’re my hearts GUARANTOR!
