Premium MemberWishing she had not had cornea surgery now

Gladys was not so glad today, kind of a surprise
She had cornea surgery and saw better than ever
The old lady in the mirror stared at her with dull eyes
There were wrinkles that seemed to go on forever

When did I get old? She asked. How did this happen here?
You did not die yet, the mirror said. It was a mean mirror.
Glady did not feel aged, decrepit or ill, but she felt sad.
Thinking about the surgery she wished she’d never had.

a matter of scales

the matter of scales

We, you and I, who don't believe in a rose
scented heaven, painted by a five years
old child who has a mother named Glady
Nor do we believe in that place where
stokers go, tired of an electrified world
I know of a man on X who is doing his
best believing in a friendly God, that
must be difficult for a man who wonders
if he is a deity of wealth.
If I go before you, I like to be a memory
dwell there until it is time to go
and become the non-returnable
As we sit on a bench that has a lone
tree and swirling fog, we can talk about
the Savanna, when I was a lion and you
were a gracious giraffe called baby
We can also reminiscence when we
were warthogs, lived in a hole
with no hope of having a bath unless
it rained so much that our cave flooded
We can also fry to nirvana, a place that
is less colorful and has an echo of
wishes not fulfilled.
Failing that, we can go to Iceland said
to be the most peaceful place on earth
by those who have not heard the rumble
of earthquakes
The aber is the island has no trees if
we should get bored and hang ourselves

Freedom

Freedom brings dawn and shadows flee
Freedom's whisper calls that bow a tree
Freedom sings wild and dances free
Freedom's chains glady bind me

Brother Glady

Happy birthday, Brother Glady,
Let this expression make you glad;
The sky above is not cloudy,
Nor is it there to make you sad.

Friend

Oh why oh why doesn’t ostrich fly
The lion roared oh why oh why
He has the feathers
He has the wings
And all of those other birdie things

Along came the monkey
Who pretended that he knew
And would glady tell all
For banana’s, a bunch or two

The lion turned quickly
And the monkey took flight
For he knew quite rightly
The lion he wouldn’t fight

A little while later
A giraffe sauntered by
But the lion couldn’t hear him
Because he held his head so high

Then along came the elephant
Who waved his might ears
I’d really like to tell you
But it just brings me to tears

A short time later
The crocodile appeared
He said I know the reason
As his throat he did clear

A long time ago
When Ostrich was sick
He had little friend
Who by his side did stick

And when he did recover
A promise he did make
I will never fly away again
For you, I will not forsake

So if you ever see him
With his head down in a hole
You’ll know that he’s just visiting with
His little friend the mole

To Stop Loving You

To stop loving you
You'll have to beat me up
You'll have to smack me
Kick me and slap da love out of me
 To stop thinking about you
You'll have to hypnotize me
You'll have to dig my heart out
Stab my lungs out
You'll have to squeeze all our memories out
To let you go
You'll have to change
You'll have to change
To what I'm clueless
Coz if u be a woman
I'll glady be a lesbian
If u be a dog,I'll make you my pet
If you be a monster
Still I'll love you
And if you starve I'll let you eat me
So in you I'll die.....

I Smile

i smile because im happy,
yes i am very, glady.

i have you out of sight out of mind,
i smile because i didnt have to rewind,
didnt have to go back in time,
from all the pain you caused for my mind

i smile because i actually feel free,
from all the negativity you caused me.

i smile because i have no rules,
and thats because i dont have to follow you.

i smile because i have my friends,
they were my helping hands.

i smile because im writing this,
without poetry, i would not exist.

i smile because...

Suicide Notice

How do I justify
what I dared to do to you,
how do I beg you to forgive me,
when I, myself can not forget
I know I got off to quickly
to not take a bigger hit,
but when I begged you that last time,
I knew that would be it,
I finally gathered all the little pieces of my life
and glued it back together,
I finally no longer
blew from side to side,
like leafs in breezy weather,
still this haunts me,
how do I sleep
knowing what I did can no longer seep
into the cracks among the floor boards
instead I find myself breathless from the
tripped wires and split cords of my tangled life
is it my fate to die,
at the hands of my own knife
for if it is I shall say these final words,
Amen, for every cut and every gash
I would glady say sorry again
but even I know when the time has come
to let the lines fall and my life unravel
before my eyes
so I can try to mend what was broken by
all the lies
So in this last moment
I shall shed no tears,
just to finally rid you of the pain I left
I will plead your name with every last breath,

Slammed

Everyone wants a wish right now...
All lil' Ms. wants is a diss.
Ya'll know I'm new at this,
Im here, it's now,
I'm leaving without your crown!

Ms. Destroyer,
I wish you the best.
This knight never naps.
As a matter of fact,
you wont get a wink,
not from me.
Not till' you take your cheese from the trap,
your straps snapped,
and there's no more hearing bout your snacks,
I'll don't want to read about
you getting strung up with your own "String of Nots"

Lil' Destroyer,
I'm coming for ya.
This is the beginning,
Far from the ending.
It's gonna be lots of laps,
without a trap.
Don't worry bout a snack.
It will be my treat.
I'll feed you the words you speak.

It's bout time you play along.
It's not Danny boy in this song.
No ma'am!
It's not a he-man slam.

Silly lady,
Use boy not toys.
No decoys to fill voids.
Your poetry,
I will glady destroy.
Host another contest,
I'll give you more.
I wont leave
before
I whip and lash,
and you and your hot meals are both out of gas.
Satisfied,
saying," Oh man!"
We just got slammed by Mr. Loverman.

(: Lots of Luv. :)

Premium MemberThe Poems By Me

The Poems by Me
If you care to read
Primarily truth
Its histories read

It spreads the wings
Of events past
Some forgotten
Some last

The ones of life
Well it surrounds us all
Some small
Some tall

Erotic and love
Is in us all
Its when to release
And have a ball

Emotions to Inspire
Our hearts will chase
Which ever, wins the race
Is sure to know, it will have it's place

War, mourning and Philosophical
In Generations it affects us all
All my poems, just want to be
To reach the horizons of you and me

Different backgrounds from different faces
Similar themes, similar faces
I thank you all for what you have said
And comments passed, are glady read.

Deja Vu

IN ANOTHER TIME, IN ANOTHER PLACE
I SAW YOUR FACE.

IN ANOTHER REALM, IN ANOTHER LIFE
YOU WERE MINE.

AT A DIFFERENT PACE IN THE SAME FAMILIAR WAY
YOU MADE MY HEART JUMP OUT OF ITS CASE.

YOU WOULD HOLD ME TIGHT
ON A SIMILAR NIGHTS
NIGHTS THAT WERE AS COLD AS THIS ONE IS.

YOUR LOVE HAS TRAPPED ME
IN ONE SCENE I WUD SWEAR WE WERE ON A MOVIE SCREEN
AND SOMEONES PRESSING REPEAT.

I'LL GLADY REMAIN THE STAR WITH YOU THIS OUR DEBUT INTO DEJA VU

(THIS IS A SONG THAT I WROTE WHEN I WAS 14. ABOUT MY FIRST BOYFRIEND)
